In the wake of the rapid surge in the COVID-19-infected cases seen in Southern and West-Central USA in the period of June-July 2020,there is an urgent need to develop robust,data-driven models to quantify the effect which early reopening had on the infected case count *** particular,it is imperative to address the question:How many infected cases could have been prevented,had the worst affected states not reopened early?To address this question,we have developed a novel COVID-19 model by augmenting the classical SIR epidemiological model with a neural network *** model decomposes the contribution of quarantine strength to the infection time series,allowing us to quantify the role of quarantine control and the associated reopening policies in the US states which showed a major surge in *** show that the upsurge in the infected cases seen in these states is strongly corelated with a drop in the quarantine/lockdown strength diagnosed by our ***,our results demonstrate that in the event of a stricter lockdown without early reopening,the number of active infected cases recorded on 14 July could have been reduced by more than 40%in all states considered,with the actual number of infections reduced being more than 100,000 for the states of Florida and *** we continue our fight against COVID-19,our proposed model can be used as a valuable asset to simulate the effect of several reopening strategies on the infected count evolution,for any region under consideration.

Background:It is well known that stretch training can induce prolonged increases in joint range of motion(ROM).However,to date more information is needed regarding which training variables might have greater influence on improvements in ***,the purpose of this metaanalysis was to investigate the effects of stretch training on ROM in healthy participants by considering potential moderating variables,such as stretching technique,intensity,duration,frequency,and muscles stretched,as well as sex-specific,age-specific,and/or trained state-specific adaptations to stretch ***:We searched through PubMed,Scopus,Web of Science,and SportDiscus to find eligible studies and,finally,assessed the results from 77 studies and 186 effect sizes by applying a random-effect ***,by applying a mixed-effect model,we performed the respective subgroup *** find potential relationships between stretch duration or age and effect sizes,we performed a ***:We found a significant overall effect,indicating that stretch training can increase ROM with a moderate effect compared to the controls(effect size=-1.002;Z=-12.074;95%confidence interval:-1.165 to-0.840;p<0.001;I^(2)=74.97).Subgroup analysis showed a significant difference between the stretching techniques(p=0.01)indicating that proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation and static stretching produced greater ROM than did ballistic/dynamic ***,there was a significant effect between the sexes(p=0.04),indicating that females showed higher gains in ROM compared to ***,further moderating analysis showed no significant relation or ***:When the goal is to maximize ROM in the long term,proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation or static stretching,rather than ballistic/dynamic stretching,should be *** to consider in future research as well as sports practice is that neither volume,intensity,nor frequency of stretching were

AIM:To evaluate the outcomes of endoscopic mucosal resection(EMR) for colorectal polyps,with particular regard to procedural complications and recurrence rate,in typical United Kingdom(UK) hospitals that perform an average of about 25 colonic EMRs per ***:A total of 239 colorectal polyps(≥ 10 mm) resected from 199 patients referred to Rochdale Infirmary,Salford Royal Hospital and Royal Oldham Hospital for EMR between January 2003 and January 2009 were ***:The mean size of polyps resected was 19.6 ± 12.4 mm(range 10-80 mm).The overall major complication rate was 2.1%.Complications were less frequent with non-adenomas compared with the other groups(Pearson's χ 2 test,P < 0.0001).Resections of largersized polyps were more likely to result in complications(unpaired t-test,P = 0.021).Recurrence was associated with histology,with carcinoma-in-situ more likely to recur compared with low-grade dysplasia [hazard ratio(HR) 186.7,95% confidence interval(95% CI):8.81-3953.02,P = 0.001].Distal lesions were also more likely to recur compared with right-sided and transverse colon lesions(HR 5.93,95% CI:1.35-26.18,P = 0.019).CONCLUSION:EMR for colorectal polyps can be performed safely and effectively in typical UK *** follow-up is required for histologically advanced lesions due to increased recurrence risk.

形式化方法工具通常是在UNIX/Linux系统下设计开发的,难于使用阻碍了形式化方法的进一步推广。本文针对形式化方法RAISE,提出了一种研究和开发基于Web的工具的方法。该方法以原有的RAISE工具为基础,通过Shell管道拦截技术、ASP技术、ActiveX DLL技术及路径重写技术,将工具的所有功能集成整合到统一的、用户友好的Web界面上,用户可通过鼠标在浏览器中进行不同的操作。原有的RAISE工具的所有功能,在基于浏览器的集成化工具中得到全面支持。该方法也为开发其它形式化方法基于Web的工具提供了新思路。

Circadian variation in expression of G_1 phase cyclins D_1 and E and cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors p16 and p21 in human bowel mucosa

AIM： To evaluate whether the cellular proliferation rate in the large bowel epithelial cells is characterized by circadian rhythm. METHODS： Between January 2003 and December 2004, twenty patients who were diagnosed as suffering from primary, resectable, non-metastatic adenocarcinoma of the lower rectum, infiltrating the sphincter mechanism, underwent abdominoperineal resection, total mesorectal excision and permanent left iliac colostomy. In formalinfixed and paraffin-embedded biopsy specimens obtained from the colostomy mucosa every six hours （00：00, 06：00, 12：00, 18：00 and 24：00）, we studied the expression of G1 phase cyclins （D1 and E） as well as the expression of the G1 phase cyclin-dependent kinase （CDK） inhibitors p16 and p21 as indicators of cell cycle progres- sion in colonic epithelial cells using immunohistochemical methods. RESULTS： The expression of both cyclins showed a similar circadian fashion obtaining their lowest and highest values at 00：00 and 18：00, respectively （P〈 0.001）. A circadian rhythm in the expression of CDK inhibitor proteins p16 and p21 was also observed, with the lowest levels obtained at 12：00 and 18：00 （P〈0.001）, respectively. When the complexes cyclins D1-p21 and E-p21 were examined, the expression of the cyclins was adversely correlated to the p21 expression throughout the day. When the complexes the cyclins D1-p16 and E-p16 were examined, high levels of p16 expression were correlated to low levels of cyclin expression at 00：00, 06：00 and 24：00. Meanwhile, the highest expression levels of both cyclins were correlated to high levels of p16 expression at 18：00. CONCLUSION： Colonic epithelial cells seem to enter the G1 phase of the cell cycle during afternoon （between 12：00 and 18：00） with the highest rates obtained at 18：00. From a clinical point of view, the present results suggest that G1-phase specific anticancer therapies in afternoon might maximize their anti-tumor effect while minimizing toxicity.

Anthropogenic activities have altered land cover in Lake Baringo Catchment contributing to increased erosion and sediment transport into water bodies. The study aims at analyzing the spatial and temporal Land Use and Land Cover Changes (LULCC) changes from 1988 to 2018 and to identify the main driving forces. GIS and Remote Sensing techniques, interviews and field observations were used to analyze the changes and drivers of LULCC from 1988-2018. The satellite imagery was selected from SPOT Image for the years 1988, 1998, 2008 and 2018. Environment for Visualizing Images (ENVI 5.3) was used to perform image analysis and classification. The catchment was classified into six major LULC classes which are water bodies, settlement, rangeland, vegetation, farmland and bare land. The results revealed that, between the years 1988-1998, and 1998-2008, water bodies decreased by 2.77% and 0.76% respectively. However, during the years 2008-2018, water body coverage increased by 1.87%. Forest cover steadily increased from 1988-2018. From 1988-1998, 1998-2008 and 2008-2018, farmland was increased by 21.11%, 3.21% and 1.7% while rangeland decreased continuously between the years 1988-1998, 1998-2008 and 2008-2018 in the order 15.14%, 4.13% and 3.74% respectively. Similarly, bare land also reduced by 1.75%, 1.04% and 0.99% between the years 1988-1998, 1998-2008 and 2008-2018 respectively. The findings attributed LULCC to rapid population growth, deforestation, poor farming practices and overstocking. The results will provide valuable information to the relevant stakeholders to formulate evidence-based land use management strategies in order to achieve ecological integrity.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the key challenges facing potato production in Oljoro-Orok division. Primary data were obtained from randomly selected farmers through questionnaires. Purposive sampling was used to select 300 farmers in the division. Proportionate sampling was used to select the sample of farmers in each of the four locations. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics namely frequencies, percentages and means with the?aid of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 17.0 and a SWOT matrix computed. Rainfall variations, lack of clean seeds and crop diseases have been found to be the major challenges facing potato production in the division. 45% of the respondents see rainfall variation as the main cause of decreased potato yields, 33% lack of clean seeds and 6% crop diseases. The study found that farmers use crop diversification and off season approaches to adapt to rainfall variability. The study recommends adaptation measure to be applied to cope with rainfall variation. Such measures include irrigation using water available in Jacob, Terracin and Kivindo dams during dry spelt. A lot of emphases on the use of certified seeds should be done by the agriculture field officers to caution farmers from planting the same potatoes they harvested in the previous harvest.

Social media platforms have been contributing to disaster management during the past several *** mining solutions using traditional machine learning techniques have been developed to categorize the messages into different themes,such as caution and advice,to better understand the meaning and leverage useful information from the social media text ***,these methods are mostly event specific and difficult to generalize for cross-event *** other words,traditional classification models trained by historic datasets are not capable of categorizing social media messages from a future *** research examines the capability of a convolutional neural network(CNN)model in cross-event Twitter topic classification based on three geo-tagged twitter datasets collected during Hurricanes Sandy,Harvey,and *** performance of the CNN model is compared to two traditional machine learning methods:support vector machine(SVM)and logistic regression(LR).Experiment results showed that CNN models achieved a consistently better accuracy for both single event and crossevent evaluation scenarios whereas SVM and LR models had lower accuracy compared to their own single event accuracy *** indicated that the CNN model has the capability of pre-training Twitter data from past events to classify for an upcoming event for situational awareness.

目的　研究中国日本血吸虫各地域株基因差异。　方法　收集湖南、安徽、湖北、四川及江苏 5省的阳性钉螺 ,将逸出的日本血吸虫尾蚴感染昆明小鼠 ,42d后 ,用灌注法获取成虫 ,用PCR扩增成虫线粒体NADH (还原型烟酰胺腺嘌呤二核苷酸 )脱氢酶 1(ND1)和细胞色素C氧化酶 1(CO1)基因片段 ,克隆于质粒载体后测序并用MEGA软件分析。　结果　各地域株日本血吸虫成虫的ND1和CO1基因长度分别为 476bp和 10 33bp ,ND1和CO1基因序列分别存在 2个单倍体 (Ⅰ型 ,Ⅱ型 ) ,其差异分别为 4.0 %和 3.4%。从分子发生树看 ,各地域株日本血吸虫ND1和CO1基因分别存在 2个不同基因型。在ND1基因中呈现Ⅰ型的 ,CO1基因中也为Ⅰ型 ,反之 ,均为Ⅱ型。　结论　研究区域湖南、安徽、湖北、四川及江苏 5省的日本血吸虫株ND1和CO1基因存在 2个不同基因型。
