Background Diabetic nephropathy （DN） is the leading cause of end-stage renal disease. Various treatment regimens and combinations of therapies provide only partial renoprotection. Therefore new approaches are needed to retard the progression of DN. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the role of a novel spiroalkaloid from Acorus tatarinowii named acortatarin A （AcorA） in inhibiting high glucose-induced extracellular matrix accumulation in mesangial cells （MCs）. Methods The cytotoxity of AcorA on MCs was examined by 3-（4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl）-2.5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide （MTT） assay. The expression of fibronectin and collagen IV was examined by real time PCR and western blotting. The expression of p22phox and p47phox was detected by western blot. The interaction between p22phox and p47phox was examined by co-immunoprecipitation. The phosphorylation of p47phox was examined by immunoprecipitation. The phosphorylation of protein kinase C （PKC） α, PKCβ, phospholiase C gamma （PLCγ1）, and the p85 subunit of PI3K was determined by Western blotting. Results AcorA significantly inhibited high glucose-induced activation of NADPH oxidase, a ROS-generating enzyme, by increasing phosphorylation of p47phox and enhancing interaction between p22phox and p47phox. Preincubation of AcorA with MCs inhibited high glucose-induced collagen IV and fibronectin production in a dose-dependent manner. Moreover, AcorA attenuated high glucose enhanced phosphorylation of PKCα, PKCβ, PLCγ1, and the p85 subunit of PI3K. Conclusion AcorA inhibits high glucose-induced extracellular matrix production via blockinq NADPH oxidase activation.

Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome（PRRS） caused by porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus（PRRSV） is one of the most infectious diseases in the swine industry worldwide, causing big eco- nomic losses. Vaccines are major weapons against PRRSV, however, current available vaccines have several limita- tions. Developing chemical drugs as alternatives is required. On the basis of traditional medical knowledge, we pur- posely selected 15 natural products originated from Chinese herbs with anti-infectious effects. Their antiviral activi- ties were evaluated by PRRSV-indueed cytopathic effect（CPE） on MARC-145 cells and reverse transcription poly- merase chain reaction（RT-PCR） assay. Compounds ethoxysanguinarine（EOSG） and atractylodinol were found to be the hits which could significantly reduce PRRSV-associated CPE with 50% inhibited concentration（ICso） values of 7.9 and 39.4 ~tmol/L, respectively. Meanwhile, compounds ethoxysanguinarine and atractylodinol significantly de- creased mRNA expression of ORF7 gene in a dose-dependent manner. Study results suggest that compounds ethoxy- sanguinarine and atractylodinol may be useful anti-PRRSV drugs for swine industry or the hits for further lead opti- mization.

The effects of interrupted aging on mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of 7A75 aluminum alloy extruded bar were investigated through various analyses,including electrical conductivity,mechanical properties,local corrosion properties,and slow strain rate tensile stress corrosion *** characterization techniques such as metallographic microscopy,scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)were also *** results indicate that the tensile strength of the alloy produced by T6I6 aging is similar to that produced by T6I4 aging,and it even exceeds 700 ***,the yield strength increases by 52.7 MPa,reaching 654.8 MPa after T6I6 aging *** maximum depths of intergranular corrosion(IGC)and exfoliation corrosion(EXCO)decrease from 116.3 and 468.5μm to 89.5 and 324.3μm,*** stress corrosion factor also decreases from 2.1%to 1.6%.These findings suggest that the alloy treated with T6I6 aging exhibits both high strength and excellent stress corrosion cracking ***,when the alloy is treated with T6I4,T6I6 and T6I7 aging,the sizes of grain boundary precipitates(GBPs)are found to be 5.2,18.4,and 32.8 nm,*** sizes of matrix precipitates are 4.8,5.7 and 15.7 nm,*** atomic fractions of Zn in GBPs are 9.92 at.%,8.23 at.%and 6.87 at.%,respectively,while the atomic fractions of Mg are 12.66 at.%,8.43 at.%and 7.00 at.%,***,the atomic fractions of Cu are 1.83 at.%,2.47 at.%and 3.41 at.%,respectively.

The Ti/Al/Ti clad plates exhibit a broad spectrum of potential ***,the conventional techniques of hot-pressing composite and explosive composite are intricate and environmentally hazardous.A novel method was introduced for preparing clad plates,namely,the powder-in-tube *** method involves a combination of cold rolling,annealing at a temperature of 550℃,and double *** morphology of the intermetallic compound layer was analyzed through the utilization of interface stripping test,tensile test,and microscopic *** interface morphology,interface bonding properties,tensile fracture structures,and properties of plates under the first and second rolling were compared,along with the effects of intermetallic compounds on the interface *** results indicate that the powder-in-tube method,when annealed at 550℃,can produce a composite plate featuring a complete and uniform Ti/Al *** obtained plate exhibits a peeling strength of 21.5 N/mm,tensile strength of 424 MPa,and elongation of 11.5%.Furthermore,a systematic analysis was conducted to determine the causes of performance degra-dation observed during annealing at temperatures of 600 and 650℃.

BACKGROUND The recently introduced ultrasonic flow ratio(UFR),is a novel fast computational method to derive fractional flow reserve(FFR)from intravascular ultrasound(IVUS)*** the present study,we evaluate the diagnostic performance of UFR in patients with intermediate left main(LM)*** This is a prospective,single center study enrolling consecutive patients with presence of intermediated LM lesions(diameter stenosis of 30%-80%by visual estimation)underwent IVUS and FFR *** independent core laboratory assessed offline UFR and IVUS-derived minimal lumen area(MLA)in a blinded *** Both UFR and FFR were successfully achieved in 41 LM patients(mean age,62.0±9.9 years,46.3%diabetes).An acceptable correlation between UFR and FFR was identified(r=0.688,P50%(AUC=0.66,P<0.001)and numerically higher than IVUS-derived MLA(AUC=0.82;P=0.09).Patient level diagnostic accuracy,sensitivity and specificity for UFR to identify FFR≤0.80 was 82.9%(95%CI:70.2-95.7),93.1%(95%CI:82.2-100.0),58.3%(95%CI:26.3-90.4),*** In patients with intermediate LM diseases,UFR was proved to be associated with acceptable correlation and high accuracy with pressure wire-based FFR as standard *** present study supports the use of UFR for functional evaluation of intermediate LM stenosis.

In this paper,we propose the Two-way Deep Reinforcement Learning(DRL)-Based resource allocation algorithm,which solves the problem of resource allocation in the cognitive downlink network based on the underlay *** users(SUs)in the cognitive network are multiplexed by a new Power Domain Sparse Code Multiple Access(PD-SCMA)scheme,and the physical resources of the cognitive base station are virtualized into two types of slices:enhanced mobile broadband(eMBB)slice and ultrareliable low latency communication(URLLC)*** design the Double Deep Q Network(DDQN)network output the optimal codebook assignment scheme and simultaneously use the Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient(DDPG)network output the optimal power allocation *** objective is to jointly optimize the spectral efficiency of the system and the Quality of Service(QoS)of *** results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the CNDDQN algorithm and modified JEERA algorithm in terms of spectral efficiency and QoS ***,compared with the Power Domain Non-orthogonal Multiple Access(PD-NOMA)slices and the Sparse Code Multiple Access(SCMA)slices,the PD-SCMA slices can dramatically enhance spectral efficiency and increase the number of accessible users.

The planar-chiral ligands have been widely applied as a class of unique and significant ligands in asymmetric *** them,chiral[2.2]paracycyclophane has emerged as a privileged type of planar-chiral framework and has been utilized as an important toolbox due to their structural ***,we design and synthesize[2.2]paracyclophane-derived oxazole-pyrimidine ligands(abberviated as PYMCOX).These N,N-ligands with stable properties,rigid structure and large steric hindrance performed successfully in nickel-catalyzed asymmetric 1,2-reduction ofα,β-unsaturated ketones,affording the chiral allylic alcohols with up to 99%yield and 99%***,this reduction reaction could be conducted on gram-scale without loss of activity and enantioselectivity,and the chiral ligand could be conveniently recovered with high yield.

Ultra-high nickel cobalt-free lithium layered oxides are promising cathode material for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)because of their relatively high capacity and low ***,the high nickel content would induce bulk structure degradation and interfacial environment deterioration,and the absence of Co element reduces the lithium diffusion kinetics,severely limiting the performance liberation of this kind of ***,a multifunctional Ti/Zr dual cation co-doping strategy has been employed to improve the lithium storage performance of LiNi_(0.9)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(NM91)*** the one hand,the Ti/Zr co-doping weakens the Li^(+)/Ni^(2+)mixing through magnetic interactions due to the inexistence of unpaired electrons for Ti^(4+)and Zr^(4+),increasing the lithium diffusion rate and suppressing the harmful coexistence of H1 and H2 *** the other hand,they enhance the lattice oxygen stability because of the strong Ti-O and Zr-O bonds,inhibiting the undesired H3 phase transition and lattice oxygen loss,improving the bulk structure and cathode-electrolyte interface *** a result,the Ti/Zr co-doped NM91(NMTZ)exhibits a 91.2%capacity retention rate after 100 cycles,while that of NM91 is only82.9%.Also,the NMTZ displays better rate performance than NM91 with output capacities of 115 and93 mA h g^(-1)at a high current density of 5 C,***,the designed NMTZ could enable the full battery to deliver an energy density up to 263 W h kg^(-1),making the ultra-high nickel cobaltfree lithium layered oxide cathode closer to practical applications.
