Unraveling the incompatibility mechanism of ethylene carbonate-based electrolytes in sodium metal anodes

Ethylene carbonate(EC)is widely used in lithium-ion batteries due to its optimal overall performance with satisfactory conductivity,relatively stable solid electrolyte interphase(SEI),and wide electrochemical *** is also the most widely used electrolyte solvent in sodium ion ***,compared to lithium metal,sodium metal(Na)shows higher activity and reacts violently with EC-based electrolyte(NaPF_(6)as solute),which leads to the failure of sodium metal batteries(SMBs).Herein,we reveal the electrochemical instability mechanism of EC on sodium metal battery,and find that the com-bination of EC and NaPF_(6) is electrically reduced in sodium metal anode during charging,resulting in the reduction of the first coulombic efficiency,and the continuous consumption of electrolyte leads to the cell *** address the above issues,an additive modified linear carbonate-based electrolyte is provided as a substitute for EC based ***,ethyl methyl carbonate(EMC)and dimethyl carbon-ate(DMC)as solvents and fluoroethylene carbonate(FEC)as SEI-forming additive have been identified as the optimal solvent for NaFP_(6)based electrolyte and used in Na_(4)Fe_(3)(PO_(4))_(2)(P_(2)O_(7))/Na *** batter-ies exhibit excellent capacity retention rate of about 80%over 1000 cycles at a cut-off voltage of 4.3 V.

Passive daytime radiative cooling(PDRC)is an innovative and sustainable cooling technology that holds immense potential for addressing the energy *** the numerous reports on radiative coolers,the design of a straightforward,efficient,and readily producible system remains a ***,we present the development of a hierarchical aligned porous poly(vinylidene fluoride)(HAP-PVDF)film through a freeze-thaw-promoted nonsolvent-induced phase separation *** film features oriented microporous arrays in conjunction with random nanopores,enabling efficient radiative cooling performance under direct sunlight *** incorporation of both micro-and nano-pores in the HAP-PVDF film results in a remarkable solar reflectance of 97%and a sufficiently high infrared thermal emissivity of 96%,facilitating sub-environmental cooling at 18.3℃ on sunny days and 13.1℃ on cloudy ***,the HAP-PVDF film also exhibits exceptional flexibility and *** calculations further confirm a radiative cooling power of 94.8 W·m^(-2)under a solar intensity of 1000W·m^(-2),demonstrating a performance comparable to the majority of reported radiative coolers.

A 2D axisymmetric numerical model was established to investigate the variations of molten pool with different melt rates during the vacuum arc remelting of 8Cr4Mo4V high-strength steel,and the ingot growth was simulated by dynamic mesh *** results show that as the ingot grows,the molten pool profile changes from shallow and flat to V-shaped,and both the molten pool depth and the mushy width ***,the variation of both the molten pool shape and the mushy width melt rate is clarified by the thermal equilibrium *** melt rate increases,both the molten pool depth and the mushy width *** is caused by the increment in sensible heat stored in the ingot due to the limitation of the cooling capacity of the *** nonlinear increment in sensible heat leads to a nonlinear increase in the mushy *** addition,as melt rate increases,the local solidification time(LST)of ingot decreases obviously at first and then *** melt rate is controlled in a suitable range,LST is the lowest and the secondary dendrite arm spacing of the ingot is the smallest,which can effectively improve the compactness degree of 8Cr4Mo4V high-strength steel.

Oxide-supported metal single-atom catalysts(SACs)have exhibited excellent catalytic performance for water-gas shift(WGS)***,we report the single-atom catalyst Pt1/FeOx exhibits excellent medium temperature catalytic performance for WGS reactions by the density functional theory(DFT)calculations and experimental *** calculations indicate that H_(2)O molecules are easily dissociated at oxygen vacancies,and the formed*OH and*O are adsorbed on Pt1 single atoms and the adjacent O atoms,*** studying four possible reaction mechanisms,it is found that the optimal WGS reaction pathway is proceeded along the carboxyl mechanism(pathway III),in which the formation of*COOH intermediates can promote the stability of Pt_(1)/FeO_(x) SAC and the easier occurrence of WGS *** energy barrier of the rate-determining step during the entire reaction cycle is only 1.16 eV,showing the high activity for the medium temperature WGS reaction on Pt_(1)/FeO_(x) SAC,which was verified by experimental ***,the calculated turnover frequencies(TOFs)of CO_(2)and H_(2)formation on Pt1/FeOx at 610 K(337℃)can reach up to 1.14×10^(-3)s^(-1)·site^(-1)through carboxyl *** this work,we further expand the application potential of Pt1/FeOx SAC in WGS reaction.

Objective:To explore the best duration of moxibustion on lumbar disk herniation(LDH).Methods:A total of 88 patients were randomly divided into control group and 15-min,30-min,and 45-min moxibustion *** control group was treated with conventional therapy,while the other 3 groups were intervened with different moxibustion *** back pain,dysfunction,lumbar function,and effective rates were evaluated before,in the first week and second week of ***:In low back pain,compared with the control group,the score of the 15-min group had no significant difference,but it was significantly lower in the 30-min and 45-min *** dysfunction and lumbar function,compared with the control group,the scores of the 15-min,30-min,and 45-min groups were significantly higher,and the scores of the 30-min and 45-min groups were significantly higher,but there was no significant difference between the 30-min and 45-min *** effective rates,there was no significant difference between the control group and 15-min group;the effective rates of the 30-min and 45-min groups were significantly higher than those of the control ***:Moxibustion has good therapeutic effect on LDH with specific moxibustion time.

For the ultra-high water-cut reservoirs, after long-term water injection exploitation, the physical properties of the reservoir change and the heterogeneity of the reservoir becomes increasingly severe, which further aggravates the spatial difference of the flow field. In this study, the displacement experiments were employed to investigate the variations in core permeability, porosity, and relative permeability after a large amount of water injection. A relative permeability endpoint model was proposed by utilizing the alternating conditional expectation(ACE) transformation to describe the variation in relative permeability based on the experimental data. Based on the time dependent models for permeability and relative permeability, the traditional oil-water two-phase model was improved and discretized using the mimetic finite difference method(MFD). The two cases were launched to confirm the validation of the proposed model. The impact of time-varying physical features on reservoir production performance was studied in a real water flooding reservoir. The experimental results indicate that the overall relative permeability curve shifts to the right as water injection increases. This shift corresponds to a transition towards a more hydrophilic wettability and a decrease in residual oil saturation. The endpoint model demonstrates excellent accuracy and can be applied to time-varying simulations of reservoir physics. The impact of variations in permeability and relative permeability on the reservoir production performance yields two distinct outcomes. The time-varying permeability of the reservoir results in intensified water channeling and poor development effects. On the other hand, the time-varying relative permeability enhances the oil phase seepage capacity, facilitating oil displacement. The comprehensive time-varying behavior is the result of the combined influence of these two parameters, which closely resemble the actual conditions observed in oil field expl
