Perovskite-type rare-earth ferrites(REFeO_(3))are promising materials for absorbing electromagnetic(EM)wave ***,insufficient dielectric loss and poor impedance matching are key factors that limit the broader implementation of REFeO_(3).Herein,a series of multicomponent perovskite-type ferrites with strong EM wave absorption capabilities was *** the synergistic effect of chemical constitution regulation and entropy regulation,optimization of the dielectric loss and impedance matching is achieved by strengthening the structural defect mechanism,thus further adjusting the EM wave absorption *** with(LaGdSmNdBa)FeO_(3)(HE-1)and(LaGdPrSmNdBa)FeO_(3)(HE-2),(LaGdBa)FeO_(3)(ME-1)and(LaGdSmBa)FeO_(3)(ME-2)exhibit favorable performance,with optimal minimum reflection loss(RL_(min))of-56.35 dB(at 11.12 GHz)and-63.25 dB(at 7.22 GHz)and effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)of 4.46 and 4.72 GHz,*** multicomponent design provides a new strategy for the development of EM wave absorption materials.

Study on the clogging mechanism of punching screen in sand control by the punching structure parameters

As an independent sand control unit or a common protective shell of a high-quality screen,the punching screen is the outermost sand retaining unit of the sand control pipe which is used in geothermal well or oil and gas ***,most screens only consider the influence of the internal sand retaining medium parameters in the sand control performance design while ignoring the influence of the plugging of the punching screen on the overall sand retaining performance of the *** explore the clogging mechanism of the punching screen,this paper established the clogging mechanism calculation model of a single punching screen sand control unit by using the computational fluid mechanics-discrete element method(CFD-DEM)combined *** to the combined motion of particles and fluids,the influence of the internal flow state on particle motion and accumulation was *** results showed that(1)the clogging process of the punching sand control unit is divided into three stages:initial clogging,aggravation of clogging and stability of *** the initial stage of blockage,coarse particles form a loose bridge structure,and blockage often occurs preferentially at the streamline gathering place below chamfering inside the sand control *** the stage of blockage intensification,the particle mass develops into a relatively complete sand bridge,which develops from both ends of the opening to the center of the *** the stable plugging stage,the sand deposits show a“fan shape”and form a“V-shaped”gully inside the punching slot element.(2)Under a certain reservoir particle-size distribution,The slit length and opening height have a large influence on the permeability and blockage rate,while the slit width size has little influence on the permeability and blockage *** microscopic clogging mechanism and its law of the punching screen prevention unit are proposed in this study,which has some field guidance significance for the design of punching screen

Influence of imidazolium ionic liquids as organic filler dispersant on electrical properties of chitin/epoxy composites

Ionic liquid(IL)as the dispersant can help disperse the organic nanofillers to improve the performance of epoxy resin ***,the effect of IL on the electrical properties of epoxy composites is not well *** comprehensive study consists of the preparation,material characterisation and systematical investigation of electrical properties of 1-Butyl-3-methylimidazole hexafluorophosphate-modified chitin fibre/epoxy *** findings show that introducing IL into a chitin/epoxy composite can minimise porosity defects and improve the compatibility between filler and ***,a high concentration of IL induces severe charge injection into chitin/epoxy composites and internal electric field *** addition of 0.75%–1.5%mass fraction IL results in maximum enhancement in the AC breakdown strength of the chitin/epoxy composite(by~71%)compared with the non-IL *** nonlinear conductivity and non-uniform charge injection phenomena of IL-modified composites can be attributed to the movement of radicals and anions due to the decomposition of *** this study,it is highly expected that the organic filler dispersion in the epoxy matrix can be optimised by tuning IL to improve the insulation properties.

Boundary slip and lubrication mechanisms of organic friction modifiers with effect of surface moisture

Surface moisture or humidity impacting the lubrication property is a ubiquitous phenomenon in tribological systems,which is demonstrated by a combination of molecular dynamics(MD)simulation and experiment for the organic friction modifier(OFM)-containing *** stearic acid and poly-α-olefin 4cSt(PAO4)were chosen as the OFM and base oil molecules,*** physical adsorption indicates that on the moist surface water molecules are preferentially adsorbed on friction surface,and even make OFM adsorption film thoroughly leave surface and mix with base *** shear process,the adsorption of water film and desorption OFM film are further enhanced,particularly under higher shear *** simulated friction coefficient(that is proportional to shear rate)increases firstly and then decreases with thickening water film,in good agreement with experiments,while the slip length shows a contrary *** wear increases with humidity due to tribochemistry revealing the continuous formation and removal of Si–O–Si *** tribological discrepancy of OFM-containing lubricant in dry and humid conditions is attributed to the slip plane’s transformation from the interface between OFM adsorption film and lubricant bulk to the interface between adsorbed water *** work provides a new thought to understand the boundary lubrication and failure of lubricant in humid environments,likely water is not always harmful in oil lubrication systems.

Diffusion and reaction mechanism of limestone and quartz in fluxed iron ore pellet roasting process

The increase to the proportion of fluxed pellets in the blast furnace burden is a useful way to reduce the carbon emissions in the ironmaking *** this study,the interaction between calcium carbonate and iron ore powder and the mineralization mechanism of fluxed iron ore pellet in the roasting process were investigated through diffusion couple *** electron microscopy with energy dispersive spectroscopy was used to study the elements’diffusion and phase transformation during the roasting *** results indicated that limestone decomposed into calcium oxide,and magnetite was oxidized to hematite at the early stage of *** the increase in roasting temperature,the diffusion rate of Fe and Ca was obviously accelerated,while the diffusion rate of Si was relatively *** order of magnitude of interdiffusion coefficient of Fe_(2)O_(3)-CaO diffusion couple was 10^(−10) m^(2)·s^(−1) at a roasting temperature of 1200℃for 9 ***_(2)Fe_(2)O_(5) was the initial product in the Fe_(2)O_(3)-CaO-SiO_(2) diffusion interface,and then Ca_(2)Fe_(2)O_(5) continued to react with Fe_(2)O_(3) to form CaFe_(2)O_(4).With the expansion of the diffusion region,the sillico-ferrite of calcium liquid phase was produced due to the melting of SiO_(2) into CaFe_(2)O_(4),which can strengthen the consolidation of fluxed ***,andradite would be formed around a small part of quartz particles,which is also conducive to the consolidation of fluxed *** addition,the principle diagram of limestone and quartz diffusion reaction in the process of fluxed pellet roasting was discussed.

Solid polymer electrolytes(SPEs)have become increasingly important in advanced lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)due to their improved safety and mechanical properties compared to organic liquid ***-linked polymers have the potential to further improve the mechanical property without trading off Li-ion *** this study,focusing on a recently developed cross-linked SPE,i.e.,the one based on poly(vinylene carbonate)-poly(ethylene oxide)cross-linked network(PVCN),we used solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)techniques to investigate the fundamental interaction between the chain segments and Li ions,as well as the lithium-ion *** utilizing homonuclear/heteronuclear correlation,CP(cross-polarization)kinetics,and spin-lattice relaxation experiments,etc.,we revealed the structural characteristics and their relations to lithium-ion *** is found that the network formation prevents poly(ethylene oxide)chains from crystallization,which could create sufficient space for segmental tumbling and Li-ion co nductio *** such,the mechanical property is greatly improved with even higher Li-ion mobilities compared to the poly(vinylene carbonate)or poly(ethylene oxide)based SPE analogues.

Multifunctional AlPO_(4)reconstructed LiMn_(2)O_(4)surface for electrochemical lithium extraction from brine

LiMn_(2)O_(4)(LMO)electrochemical lithium-ion pump has gained widespread attention due to its green,high efficiency,and low energy consumption in selectively extracting lithium from ***,collapse of crystal structure and loss of lithium extraction capacity caused by Mn dissolution loss limits its industrialized ***,a multifunctional coating was developed by depositing amorphous AlPO_(4)on the surface of LMO using sol-gel *** characterization and electrochemical performance test provided insights into the mechanism of Li^(+)embedment and de-embedment and revealed that multifunctional AlPO_(4)can reconstruct the physical and chemical state of LMO surface to improve the interface hydrophilicity,promote the transport of Li^(+),strengthen cycle ***,after 20 cycles,the capacity retention rate of 0.5AP-LMO reached 93.6%with only 0.147%Mn dissolution *** average Li^(+)release capacity of 0.5AP-LMO//Ag system in simulated brine is 28.77 mg/(g h),which is 90.4%higher than ***,even in the more complex Zabuye real brine,0.5AP-LMO//Ag can still maintain excellent lithium extraction *** results indicate that the 0.5AP-LMO//Ag lithium-ion pump shows promising potential as a Li^(+)selective extraction system.

Modeling and prediction of tribological properties of copper/aluminum-graphite self-lubricating composites using machine learning algorithms

The tribological properties of self-lubricating composites are influenced by many variables and complex ***-driven methods,including machine learning(ML)algorithms,can yield a better comprehensive understanding of complex problems under the influence of multiple parameters,typically for how tribological performances and material properties *** of friction coefficients and wear rates of copper/aluminum-graphite(Cu/Al-graphite)self-lubricating composites with their inherent material properties(composition,lubricant content,particle size,processing process,and interfacial bonding strength)and the variables related to the testing method(normal load,sliding speed,and sliding distance)were analyzed using traditional approaches,followed by modeling and prediction of tribological properties through five different ML algorithms,namely support vector machine(SVM),K-Nearest neighbor(KNN),random forest(RF),eXtreme gradient boosting(XGBoost),and least-squares boosting(LSBoost),based on the tribology experimental *** demonstrated that ML models could satisfactorily predict friction coefficient and wear rate from the material properties and testing method variables ***,the LSBoost model based on the integrated learning algorithm presented the best prediction performance for friction coefficients and wear rates,with R^(2) of 0.9219 and 0.9243,*** importance analysis also revealed that the content of graphite and the hardness of the matrix have the greatest influence on the friction coefficients,and the normal load,the content of graphite,and the hardness of the matrix influence the wear rates the most.

Subclinical impairment of left ventricular myocardium function in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with or without hypertension

BACKGROUND Cardiovascular disease has been the leading cause of morbidity and mortality for type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)patients over the last *** To determine whether layer-specific global longitudinal strain(GLS)combined with peak strain dispersion(PSD)can be used to assess left ventricle(LV)myocardium systolic dysfunction in T2DM patients or without hypertension(HP).METHODS We enrolled 97 T2DM patients,70 T2DM+HP patients and 101 healthy ***-specific GLS and PSD were calculated by EchoPAC software in apical three-,four-and two-chamber *** of the epimyocardial,middle-layer and endomyocardial(GLSepi,GLSmid,and GLSendo)were measured and *** operating characteristic analysis was performed to detect LV myocardium systolic dysfunction in T2DM *** There were significant differences in GLSepi,GLSmid,GLSendo,and PSD between healthy subjects,T2DM patients and T2DM patients with HP(Pyielded the ranking of healthy subjects>T2DM patients>T2DM with HP patients in the absolute values of GLSepi,GLSmid and GLSendo(Py subjectsyer-specific GLS and PSD had high diagnostic efficiency for detecting LV myocardium systolic dysfunction in T2DM patients,however,the area under the curve(AUC)for layer-specific GLS and PSD combined was significantly higher than the AUCs for the individual indices(Pyer-specific GLS and PSD were associated with LV myocardium systolic dysfunction in T2DM patients,T2DM patients with HP.T2DM patients with HP have more severe LV myocardium systolic dysfunction than T2DM patients without HP and normal control *** combination of layer-specific GLS and PSD may provide additional prognostic information for T2DM patients with or without HP.
