Metal coordination compounds(MCCs)are gaining popularity for potassium-ion batteries(PIBs)owing to their tuneable structure,multiple reaction sites,low cost and unique ***,they are generally subjected to intrinsic features of the sluggish ionic diffusion coefficient,low electronic conductivity and slow ***,a new MCC material of cobalt-1.3,5-trioxy-2,4,6-triamino-benzo(Co-TB)coordination compound was synthesized and homogenously grown on the surface of graphene nanosheets(GNS),forming a Co-TB@GNS composite with enhanced electronic conductivity and flexible *** from the overall enhanced conductivity,high surface area and abundant activated K-storage sites,Co-TB@GNS electrodes have exhibited superior cycling performance with high reversible capacities(31. mAh·g^(-1.after 1.0 cycles at 1.0 mA·g^(-1.,224 mAh·g^(-1.after 500 cycles at 1.A·g^(-1.)and better rate performances compared with the pure Co-TB compound when served as PIB's ***,multiple in-situ measurement techniques have jointly confirmed that the organic functional groups(C=O,C=N and C=C of benzene rings)and Co^(2+)in Co-TB are the main reversible K-storage sites,including in-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and X-ray diffraction(XRD),and partial capacity contribution is originated from GNS by the apparent K-storage behavior in the in-situ XRD pattern,proving the possibility of K-storage for metal-organic materials.

Increasing the utilization efficiency of platinum is critical for advancing proton exchange-membrane fuel cells(PEMFCs).Despite extensive research on catalysts for the cathodic oxygen reduction reaction(ORR),developing highly active and durable Pt-based catalysts that can suppress surface dealloying in corrosive acid conditions remains ***,we report a facile synthesis of bimetallic ultrathin PtM(M=Mo,W,and Cr)nanowires(NWs)composed of group VI B transition metal atomic sites anchored on the *** NWs possess uniform sizes and well-controlled atomic *** to PtW and PtCr catalysts,the PtMo0.05 NWs exhibit the highest half-wave potential of 0.935 V and a mass activity of 1.43 A·mgPt^(−1..Remarkably,they demonstrate a remarkable 23.8-fold enhancement in mass activity compared to commercial Pt/C for ORR,surpassing previously reported Pt-based ***,the PtMo NWs cathode in membrane electrode assembly tests achieves a remarkable peak power density of 1.443 W·cm^(−2)(H_(2)-O_(2)conditions at 80℃),which is 1.09 times that of commercial Pt/*** ligand effect in the bimetallic surface not only facilitates strong coupling between Mo(4d)and Pt(5d)atomic orbitals to hinder atom leaching but also modulates the d-states of active site,significantly optimizing the adsorption of key oxygen(*O and*OH)species and accelerating the rate-determining step in ORR pathways.

Subcellular mitochondria serve as sensors for energy metabolism and redox balance, and the dynamic regulation of functional and dysfunctional mitochondria plays a crucial role in determining cells' fate. Selective removal of dysfunctional mitochondria at the subcellular level can provide chondrocytes with energy to prevent degeneration, thereby treating osteoarthritis. Herein, to achieve an ideal subcellular therapy, cartilage affinity peptide (WYRGRL)-decorated liposomes loaded with mitophagy activator (urolithin A) were integrated into hyaluronic acid methacrylate hydrogel microspheres through microfluidic technology, named HM@WY-Lip/UA, that could efficiently target chondrocytes and selectively remove subcellular dysfunctional mitochondria. As a result, this system demonstrated an advantage in mitochondria function restoration, reactive oxygen species scavenging, cell survival rescue, and chondrocyte homeostasis maintenance through increasing mitophagy. In a rat post-traumatic osteoarthritis model, the intra-articular injection of HM@WY-Lip/UA ameliorated cartilage matrix degradation, osteophyte formation, and subchondral bone sclerosis at 8 weeks. Overall, this study indicated that HM@WY-Lip/UA provided a protective effect on cartilage degeneration in an efficacious and clinically relevant manner, and a mitochondrial-oriented strategy has great potential in the subcellular therapy of osteoarthritis.

Perovskites have attracted extensive attention as radiation detection material due to their long carrier diffusion length and lifetime, high absorption coefficient, and flexible manufacturing process. Compared with polycrystalline structures, single crystal perovskites improve the performance of optoelectronic devices due to their low defect state density, better photoelectric characteristics, and chemical ***, we review the recent progress of single crystal perovskite X-ray detectors. First, we briefly introduced the basic concepts, detection mechanisms, figure of merits of perovskite X-ray detectors, and the preparation methods of single crystal perovskites. Then, we summarized the significant advancements in single crystal perovskite X-ray detectors in recent times. Finally, we discussed the critical challenges and some practicable solutions for developing high-performance X-ray detectors.

Eco-friendly synthesis and environmental impact assessment of hierarchical Beta zeolite from kaolinite and recycled mother liquor

The development of sustainable techniques to produce high-performance zeolite is essential to achieve green production in industry. Herein, we report an eco-friendly route to synthesizing hierarchical Beta zeolite from kaolinite and recycled mother liquor. The results reveal that the unutilized species（such as silicon species and Na+） in mother liquor stayed in a stable concentration during eleven recycled experiments. Moreover, the synthesized Beta zeolites still have comparable physicochemical properties and catalytic performance in the esterification of levulinic acid with ethanol over the initial zeolite although eleven recycled experiments. Life cycle assessment exhibits that the synthesis of Beta zeolite with recycled mother liquor can reduce global warming potential by 23% and resource depletion-water use by 36% compared to that without recycled mother liquor. This quantitatively demonstrates that the approach proposed in this work is really a sustainable one, extremely increasing the utilization efficiency of raw materials and decreasing the environmental burden.

The conversion of waste polylactic acid（PLA） plastics into high-value-added chemicals through electrochemical methods is a promising and sustainable ***,developing efficient and highly selective catalysts for lactic acid oxidation reaction（LAOR） and understanding the reaction process are ***,we report the electrooxidation of waste PLA to acetate at a high current density of 1.0 mA cm-2 with high Faraday efficiency（～95%） and excellent stability（>1.0 h） over a nickel selenide nanosheet *** addition,a total Faraday efficiency of up to 1.0% was achieved for carboxylic acids,including acetic acid and formic acid,by coupling with the cathodic CO2reduction *** situ experimental results and theoretical simulations revealed that the catalytic activity center of LAOR was dynamically formed NiOOH species,and the surface-adsorbed SeOxspecies accelerated the formation of Ni3+species,thus promoting catalytic *** mechanism of lactic acid electrooxidation was further *** acid was dehydrogenated to produce pyruvate first and then formed CH3CO due to preferential C-C bond cleavage,resulting in the presence of *** work demonstrated a sustainable method for recycling waste PLA and CO2into high-value-added products.
