Despite the successful application of immune checkpoint therapy,no response or recurrence is typical in lung *** stem cells(CSCs)have been identified as a crucial player in immunotherapy-related ***,a form of cell death driven by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation,is highly regulated by cellular metabolism remolding and has been shown to have synergistic effects when combined with *** adaption of CsCs drives tumor resistance,yet the mechanisms of their ferroptosis defense in tumor immune evasion remain ***,through metabolomics,transcriptomics,a lung epithelialspecific Cptla-knockout mouse model,and clinical analysis,we demonstrate that CPT1A,a key rate-limiting enzyme of fatty acid oxidation,acts with L-carnitine,derived from tumor-associated macrophages to drive ferroptosis-resistance and CD8^(+)T cells inactivation in lung ***,CPT1A restrains ubiquitination and degradation of c-Myc,while c-Myc transcriptionally activates CPT1A *** CPT1A/c-Myc positive feedback loop further enhances the cellular antioxidant capacity by activating the NRF2/GPX4 system and reduces the amount of phospholipid polyunsaturated fatty acids through ACSL4 downregulating,thereby suppressing ferroptosis in ***,targeting CPT1A enhances immune checkpoint blockadeinduced anti-tumor immunity and tumoral ferroptosis in tumor-bearing *** results illustrate the potential of a mechanismguided therapeutic strategy by targeting a metabolic vulnerability in the ferroptosis of CsCs to improve the efficacy of lung cancer immunotherapy.

BACKGROUND Simple bone cysts(SBC)are benign tumor-like bone lesions typically identified in *** SBC may lead to growth disturbances or growth arrest,such cases are *** mechanisms behind these observations remain ***,research on the etiology of SBC remains inconclusive,and there has been no consensus on the appropriate timing and methodology for *** SUMMARY Here,we present our experience in the successful surgical management of a 10-year-old girl with SBC,who presented with a pathological fracture complicated by malunion of the displaced fracture,varus deformity,and limb length *** hypothesized two possible etiologies for the patient’s growth arrest and subsequent humerus varus deformity:(1)Direct disruption of the physis by fluid from the cyst itself;and(2)damage to the epiphysis due to repetitive pathological fractures associated with *** addressing this case,surgical intervention was undertaken to correct the proximal humerus varus *** approach offered the advantages of simultaneously correcting angular abnormalities,achieving mild limb lengthening,providing definitive SBC treatment,and reducing the overall treatment *** As per current literature,acute correction of acute angular deformity in proximal humeral SBC is not well ***,in this specific case,acute correction was considered an optimal solution.

BACKGROUND Gallbladder rupture is common in laparoscopic cholecystectomy because the gallbladder is usually in acute or chronic inflammation *** gallstones may sometime be spilled into the peritoneal cavity,resulting in intra-abdominal ab-scess if the gallstones were not *** diagnosis of intra-abdominal ab-scess caused by unretrieved gallstone can usually be correctly identified in the routine imaging studies,such as abdominal ultrasonography or computed tomo-graphy(CT).Here we present a case of abscess formation from unretrieved gall-stone following laparoscopic cholecystectomy,which mimics the imaging findings of metastatic gallbladder *** SUMMARY This case described a 78-year-old man who received laparoscopic cholecystectomy and gallbladder adenocarcinoma was diagnosed after *** adjuvant chemotherapy,the following up abdominal CT showed several small nodules at right upper abdomen and peritoneal carcinomatosis is *** laparoscopic surgery for the excision of seeding tumor was conducted and the pathological diagnosis of the nodules and mass was inflammatory tissues and gallbladder *** Spilled gallstones are a common complication during laparoscopic cholecystectomy and some gallstones fail to be retrieved due to the size or the restricted view of laparoscopic *** spilled gall bladder stones,surgeons may consider regular computerized tomography follow-up,and if necessary,laparoscopic examination can be used as a means of confirming the diagnostic and treatment.

BACKGROUND Colorectal cancer is a common malignancy and various methods have been introduced to decrease the possibility of *** recurrence(ER)is related to worse *** date,few observational studies have reported on the analysis of rectal ***,we reported on the timing and risk factors for the ER of resectable rectal cancer at our *** To analyze a cohort of patients with local and/or distant recurrence following the radical resection of the primary *** Data were retrospectively collected from the institutional database from March 2011 to January *** data at diagnosis,perioperative and postoperative data,and first recurrence were collected and *** was defined via receiver operating characteristic *** factors were evaluated using the Kaplan–Meier method and Cox proportional hazards *** We included 131 *** optimal cut off value of recurrence-free survival(RFS)to differentiate between ER(n=55,41.9%)and late recurrence(LR)(n=76,58.1%)was 8 *** median post-recurrence survival(PRS)of ER and LR was 1.4 mo and 2.9 mo,respectively(P=0.008)but PRS was not strongly associated with RFS(R^(2)=0.04).Risk factors included age≥70 years[hazard ratio(HR)=1.752,P=0.047],preoperative concurrent chemoradiotherapy(HR=3.683,Pion(HR=2.221,P=0.036),and length of stay>9 d(HR=0.441,P=0.006).CONCLUSiON RFS of 8 mo was the optimal cut-off *** ER was not associated with PRS,it was still related to prognosis;thus,intense surveillance is recommended.

Within the electronic design automation(EDA) domain, artificial intelligence(Ai)-driven solutions have emerged as formidable tools, yet they typically augment rather than redefine existing methodologies. These solutions often repurpose deep learning models from other domains, such as vision, text, and graph analytics, applying them to circuit design without tailoring to the unique complexities of electronic circuits. Such an “Ai4EDA” approach falls short of achieving a holistic design synthesis and understanding,overlooking the intricate interplay of electrical, logical, and physical facets of circuit data. This study argues for a paradigm shift from Ai4EDA towards Ai-rooted EDA from the ground up, integrating Ai at the core of the design process. Pivotal to this vision is the development of a multimodal circuit representation learning technique, poised to provide a comprehensive understanding by harmonizing and extracting insights from varied data sources, such as functional specifications, register-transfer level(RTL) designs, circuit netlists,and physical layouts. We champion the creation of large circuit models(LCMs) that are inherently multimodal, crafted to decode and express the rich semantics and structures of circuit data, thus fostering more resilient, efficient, and inventive design methodologies. Embracing this Ai-rooted philosophy, we foresee a trajectory that transcends the current innovation plateau in EDA, igniting a profound “shift-left” in electronic design methodology. The envisioned advancements herald not just an evolution of existing EDA tools but a revolution, giving rise to novel instruments of design-tools that promise to radically enhance design productivity and inaugurate a new epoch where the optimization of circuit performance, power, and area(PPA) is achieved not incrementally, but through leaps that redefine the benchmarks of electronic systems' capabilities.

AiM:To assess the antacid effects of the tonic Chinese herbal prescriptions,Si-Jun-Zi-Tang(SJZT) and Shen-Ling-Bai-Zhu-San(SLBZS).METHODS:Decoctions of the tonic Chinese herbal prescriptions,SJZT and SLBZS,were prepared according to Chinese original *** pH of the prescription decoctions and their neutralizing effects on artif icial gastric acids were determined and compared with water and the active controls,sodium bicarbonate and colloidal aluminum phosphate.A modified model of Vatier's artificial stomach was used to determine the duration of consistent neutralization effect on artificial gastric *** neutralization capacity in vitro was determined with the titration method of Fordtran's ***:The results showed that both SJZT and SLBZS have antacid effects in *** with the water group,SJZT and SLBZS were found to possess signif icant gastric acid neutralizing *** duration for consistent neutralization of SLBZS was signif icantly longer than that of ***,SLBZS and SJZT exhibited signif icant antacid capacities compared to ***:SJZT and SLBZS were consistently active in the artificial stomach model and are suggested to have antacid effects similar to the active control drugs.

in this study,we applied a defined auxiliary problem in a novel error estimation technique to estimate the numerical error in the method of fundamental solutions(MFS)for solving the Helmholtz *** defined auxiliary problem is substituted for the real problem,and its analytical solution is generated using the complementary solution set of the governing *** solving the auxiliary problem and comparing the solution with the quasianalytical solution,an error curve of the MFS versus the source location parameters can be ***,the optimal location parameter can be *** convergent numerical solution can be obtained and applied to the case of an unavailable analytical solution condition in the real ***,we developed a systematic error estimation scheme to identify an optimal *** numerical experiments,the optimal location parameter of the source points and the optimal number of source points in the MFS were studied and obtained using the error estimation technique.

Fundamental experiments were carried out in a wave flume on internal solitary wave （iSW） of depression-type propagating over a submerged ridge. The seabed ridge included either triangular or semicircular shape - regarded as topographic obstacles. influenced by the submarine ridge, the transmitted waves were found to always consist of a leading pulse （a solitary wave） followed by a dispersive wave train. The wave profile propagating over a triangular ridge was similar to that caused by a semicircular obstacle. Apparently, the smooth face of a semicircular ridge produced time lag of wave propagation. From experimental results available, the reduction in wave energy induced by a semicircular ridge was larger than that by a triangular one. The events of wave distortion, strong breaking, internal bolus, and stratification mixing happened in case that the crest of an iSW was great enough to interact with the topographic obstacle. The reduction in wave energy was induced by strong breaking, and it depended on the ridge height rather than the geometric shape of the ridge.
