This study focuses on compositionally complex alloys(CCAs),aiming to achieve a balance between high strength and low density for new energy and aerospace *** composition of AlCrFeNiTi_(x) CCAs is strategically guided by employing density functional theory and the theoretical design of thermodynamic *** CCAs,particularly AlCrFeNiTi_(0.25) alloy,demonstrate remarkable specific yield strength(1640.8 MPa) and 22.7% maximum *** incorporation of Ti facilitates the formation of lightweight and high-strength L2_(1)phase,contributing to the overall high specific *** effects of grain boundary strengthening,solid solution strengthening,Orowan strengthening and Peierls flow stress further enhance *** exploration of micros tructural changes during fracture reveals the role of ordered phases in suppressing crack propagation and absorbing energy within disordered phases,thereby improving the toughness and fracture resistance of *** methods and discoveries establish a robust foundation for advancing the development of novel lightweight CCAs.

Cyclic dinucleotides(CDNs)are natural agonists of the stimulator of interferon genes(STING),which is an attractive immunotherapy ***,CDNs and their derivatives are being investigated ***,the poor bioavailability of exogenous CDNs has limited their application in *** nanocarriers are widely used for cytosolic delivery of CDNs,their loading capacity is insufficient,and their complicated composition and purification process raises bio-compatibility ***,we report a super-simplified CDN self-assembly strategy for carrier-free delivery of *** the presence of excess K^(+),CDNs form oligomers which further self-assemble with divalent metal ions(such as Mn^(2+))to form nanoparticles(NPs)in aqueous *** demonstrate that the self-assembled CDN NPs promote cellular uptake of CDNs and enhance tumor immunogenicity by remodeling the tumor microenvironment,inducing immunogenic tumor cell death and increasing tumorinfiltrating lymphocytes,which is conducive to the generation of tumor neoantigen-specific T-cell *** also demonstrate that the use of CDN NPs alone or in combination with immune checkpoint blockades inhibits tumor growth,highlighting the fact that CDN NPs are a potent platform for cancer immunotherapy.

In this study,a hybrid model,the convolutional neural network-support vector regression model,was adopted to achieve prediction of the NO_(2)profile in Nanjing from January 2019to March *** the sudden decline in NO_(2)in February 2020,the contribution of the Coronavirus Disease-19(COVID-19)lockdown,Chinese New Year(CNY),and meteorologi cal conditions to the reduction of NO_(2)was ***_(2)vertical column densities(VCDs) from January to March 2020 decreased by 59.05%and 32.81%,relative to the same period in 2019 and 2021,*** the period of 2020 COVID-19,the average NO_(2)VCDs were 50.50%and 29.96%lower than those during the pre-lockdown and post-lockdown pe riods,*** NO_(2)volume mixing ratios(VMRs)during the 2020 COVID-19 lock down significantly decreased below 400 *** NO_(2)VMRs under the different wind fields were significantly lower during the lockdown period than during the pre-lockdown period This phenomenon could be attributed to the 2020 COVID-19 *** NO_(2)VMRs be fore and after the CNY were significantly lower in 2020 than in 2019 and 2021 in the same period,which further proves that the decrease in NO_(2)in February 2020 was attributed to the COVID-19 *** source analysis of an NO_(2)pollution episode during the lockdown period showed that the polluted air mass in the Beijing-tianjin-Hebei was trans ported southwards under the action of the north wind,and the subsequent unfavorable meteorological conditions(local wind speed of<2.0 m/sec)resulted in the accumulation o pollutants.

In the boreal summer and autumn of 2023,the globe experienced an extremely hot period across both oceans and *** consecutive record-breaking mean surface temperature has caused many to speculate upon how the global temperature will evolve in the coming 2023/24 boreal *** this report,as shown in the multi-model ensemble mean(MME)prediction released by the Institute of Atmospheric Physics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences,a medium-to-strong eastern Pacific El Niño event will reach its mature phase in the following 2−3 months,which tends to excite an anomalous anticyclone over the western North Pacific and the Pacific-North American teleconnection,thus serving to modulate the winter climate in East Asia and North *** some uncertainty due to unpredictable internal atmospheric variability,the global mean surface temperature(GMST)in the 2023/24 winter will likely be the warmest in recorded history as a consequence of both the El Niño event and the long-term global warming ***,the middle and low latitudes of Eurasia are expected to experience an anomalously warm winter,and the surface air temperature anomaly in China will likely exceed 2.4 standard deviations above climatology and subsequently be recorded as the warmest winter since ***,the necessary early warnings are still reliable in the timely updated mediumterm numerical weather forecasts and sub-seasonal-to-seasonal prediction.

Seawater electrolysis is an effective way to obtain hydrogen(H_(2))in a sustainable ***,the lack of electrocatalysts with high activity,stability,and selectivity for oxygen evolution reaction(OER)severely hinders the development of seawater electrolysis ***,sulfur-doped nickel-iron selenide nanosheets(S-NiFeSe_(2))were prepared by an ion-exchange strategy and served as highly active OER electrocatalyst for alkaline seawater *** overpotential is 367 m V,and it can run stably for over 50 h at 100 m A cm^(-2).Excitingly,the S-NiFeSe_(2)||Pt/C pair exhibits cell voltage of 1.54 V at 10 m A cm^(-2)under alkaline seawater conditions,which can run smoothly for 100 h without decay,and the efficiency of electricity-tohydrogen(ETH)energy conversion reaches more than 80%.Such electrode,with abundant accessible reactive sites and good corrosion resistance,is a good candidate for seawater ***,density functional theory calculations reveal that the surface sulfur atoms can activate the adjacent Ni sites and decrease the free energy changes of the associated intermediates at the adjacent Ni sites for OER,and the step of~*OH→~*O is the potential rate-limiting *** this work,the true reactive site in nickel-iron selenides is the Ni sites,but not the Fe sites as commonly believed.

Apolipoprotein D(ApoD),a member of the lipocalin superfamily of proteins,is involved in lipid transport and stress *** only a single copy of the ApoD gene is found in humans and some other vertebrates,there are typically several ApoD-like genes in *** date,there have been relatively few studies that have examined the evolution and functional differentiation of ApoD-like genes in insects,particularly hemi-metabolous *** this study,we identified 10 ApoD-like genes(NlApoD1−10)with distinct spatiotemporal expression patterns in Nilaparvata lugens(BPH),which is an important pest of ***1−10 were found to be distributed on 3 chromosomes in a tandem array of NlApoD1/2,NlApoD3−5,and NlApoD7/8,and show sequence and gene structural divergence in the coding regions,indicating that multiple gene duplication events occurred during *** analysis revealed that NlApoD1−10 can be clustered into 5 clades,with NlApoD3−5 and NlApoD7/8 potentially evolving exclusively in the Delphacidae *** screening using an RNA interference approach revealed that only NlApoD2 was essential for BPH development and survival,whereas NlApoD4/5 are highly expressed in testes,and might play roles in ***,stress response analysis revealed that NlApoD3−5/9,NlApoD3−5,and NlApoD9 were up-regulated after treatment with lipopolysaccharide,H2O2,and ultraviolet-C,respectively,indicating their potential roles in stress resistance.

The exploration of eco-friendly insulating gas to substitute the most potent greenhouse gas sulphur hexafluoride(SF6)has consistently garnered significant ***,the au-thors evaluated the feasibility of utilising perfluoromethyl vinyl ether(PMVE,C_(3)F_(6)O)as a new branch of eco-friendly insulating gas for the first *** primary dielectric and stability characteristics of PMVE regarding AC breakdown,partial discharge,dielectric recovery,and decomposition properties were revealed under various gas pressure and electrical field *** was found that PMVE demonstrated superior dielectric strength,with the AC breakdown and PD inception voltage(PDIV)1.10 and 1.14 times that of pure SF_(6).Furthermore,the dielectric strength of PMVE exhibits stability even after undergoing 100 cycles of AC breakdowns,and there is no observable formation of solid precipitation on the electrode *** discharge decomposition of PMVE mainly generates fluorocarbon(CF_(4),C_(2)F_(6),C_(3)F_(6),C_(3)F_(8),etc.)and ***,the exceptional insulation stabilityandno absence of solidprecipitation featuresendow PMVE tobe utilised as a new eco-friendly gas for SF_(6)-free gas-insulated equipment.
