High entropy oxides(HEOs),as a new type of single-phase multielement solid solution materials,have shown many attractive features and promising application prospect in the energy storage ***,six-element HEOs(CoNiZnFeMnLi)_(3)O_(4) and(CoNiZnCrMnLi)_(3)O_(4) with spinel structure are successfully prepared by con-ventional solid-phase method and present outstanding lithium storage performances due to the synergy effect of various electrochemically active elements and the entropy *** contrast,(CoNiZnFeMnLi)_(3)O_(4) delivers higher initial discharge specific capacity of 1104.3 mAh·g^(−1),better cycle stability(84%capacity retention after 100 cycles at 100 mA·g^(−1)) and rate performance(293 mAh·g^(−1)at 2000 mA·g^(−1))in the ***,the full-cell assembled with(CoNiZnFeMnLi)_(3)O_(4) and LiCoO_(2)provides a reversible specific capacity of 260.2 mAh·g^(−1)after 100 cycles at 500 mA·g^(−1).Ex situ X-ray diffraction reveals the electrochemical reaction mechanism of HEOs(CoNiZnFeMnLi)_(3)O_(4),and the amorphous phase and the large amount of oxygen vacancies were obtained after the initial discharge process,which are responsible for the excellent cycle and rate *** research puts forward fresh insights for the development of advanced energy storage materials for high-performance batteries.

AIM To identify a panel of biomarkers that can distinguish between non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH), and explore molecular mechanism involved in the process of developing NASH from *** Biomarkers may differ during stages of NAFLD. Urine and blood were obtained from non-diabetic subjects with NAFLD and steatosis, with normal liver function(n = 33), from patients with NASH, with abnormal liver function(n = 45), and from healthy age and sex-matched controls(n = 30). Samples were subjected to metabolomic analysis to identify potential non-invasive biomarkers. Differences in urinary metabolic profiles were analyzed using liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry with principal component analysis and partial least squares-discriminate *** Compared with NAFLD patients, patients with NASH had abnormal liver function and high serum lipid concentrations. Urinary metabonomics found differences in 31 metabolites between these two groups, including differences in nucleic acids and amino acids. Pathway analysis based on overlapping metabolites showed that pathways of energy and amino acid metabolism, as well as the pentose phosphate pathway, were closely associated with pathological processes in NAFLD and *** These findings suggested that a panel of biomarkers could distinguish between NAFLD and NASH, and could help to determine the molecular mechanism involved in the process of developing NASH from NAFLD. This study investigates the impact of the New Rural Cooperative Medical Scheme(NRCMS)on rural households to escape *** employ the instrumental variable method,the IVProbit model,to analyze the national data from the rural-resident field survey by the China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)in *** on the large-scale data,we found that,first,the hospitalization of family members is the key factor in increasing the risk of the family falling into *** NRCMS has significantly reduced the likely risk of falling into ***,the impact of the NRCMS on poverty alleviation varies among groups with different levels of *** is no impact on the upper-middle and high-income groups;in contrast,the NRCMS has substantially improved the capacity of low-income rural families to prevent poverty due to illness,especially for the lower-middle-income ***,there exist significant regional differences in the impact of NRCMS on the health poverty alleviation of rural households in *** NRCMS has successfully reduced the risk of rural households in the western region falling into poverty,simultaneously,no significant impact on those in the eastern and central *** order to diminish and eliminate poverty eventually and boost rural residents'capacity for income acquisition,we propose the following:raise the actual compensation ratio of the NRCMS,control the rising expense of NRCMS by promoting the payment method reform,construct the comprehensive healthcare system in the western region,strengthen the medical security for the poor in remote area,and enhance the living environment for rural residents.

Waveguides and resonators are core components in the large-scale integration of electronics, photonics and phononics, both in existing and future scenarios. In certain situations, there is critical coupling of the two components; i.e. no energy passes through the waveguide after the incoming wave couples into the resonator. The transmission spectral characteristics resulting from this phenomenon are highly advantageous for signal filtering, switching, multiplexing and sensing. In the present study, adopting an elastic-wave platform, we introduce topological insulator(TI), a remarkable achievement in condensed matter physics over the past decade, into a classical waveguide-ring-resonator configuration. Along with basic similarities with classical systems, a TI system has important differences and advantages, mostly owing to the spin-momentum locked transmission states at the TI boundaries. As an example, a two-port TI waveguide resonator can fundamentally eliminate upstream reflections while completely retaining useful transmission spectral characteristics, and maximize the energy in the resonator, with possible applications being novel signal processing, gyro/sensing, lasering, energy harvesting and intense wave–matter interactions, using phonons, photons or even electrons. The present work further enhances confidence in using topological protection for practical device performance and functionalities, especially considering the crucial advantage of introducing(pseudo)spins to existing conventional configurations. More in-depth research on advancing phononics/photonics, especially on-chip, is foreseen.

Yīn-Chén-Hāo decoction(YCHD) is a traditional Chinese medicine formula composed of capillaris(Artemisia capillaris), gardenia(Gardenia jasminoides), and rhubarb(Rheum rhabarbarum) that is used for the treatment of damp-heat jaundice. In modern clinics, YCHD is mostly used for hepatic diseases. This review summarizes the biological activities of YCHD and its medical applications. The main active compounds of YCHD are chlorogenic acid, rhein, geniposide, emodin, and scoparone. The pharmacological actions of YCHD include inhibition of hepatic steatosis, apoptosis, necrosis, anti-inflammation, and immune regulation. YCHD could be developed as a new therapeutic strategy for the treatment of hepatic diseases.

Swine influenza A virus（swine IAV） circulates worldwide in pigs and poses a serious public health threat, as evidenced by the 2009 H1N1 influenza pandemic. Among multiple subtypes/lineages of swine influenza A viruses, European avian-like（EA） H1N1 swine IAV has been dominant since 2005 in China and caused infections in humans in 2010. Highly sensitive and specific methods of detection are required to differentiate EA H1N1 swine IAVs from viruses belonging to other lineages and subtypes. In this study, a nested reverse transcription（RT）-PCR assay was developed to detect EA H1 swine IAVs. Two primer sets（outer and inner） were designed specifically to target the viral hemagglutinin genes. Specific PCR products were obtained from all tested EA H1N1 swine IAV isolates, but not from other lineages of H1 swine IAVs, other subtypes of swine IAVs, or other infectious swine viruses. The sensitivity of the nested RT-PCR was improved to 1 plaque forming unit（PFU） m L^（-1） which was over 10~4 PFU m L^（-1） for a previously established multiplex RT-PCR method. The nested RT-PCR results obtained from screening 365 clinical samples were consistent with those obtained using conventional virus isolation methods combined with sequencing. Thus, the nested RT-PCR assay reported herein is more sensitive and suitable for the diagnosis of clinical infections and surveillance of EA H1 swine IAVs in pigs and humans.
