Cloud Top Pressure Retrieval Using Polarized and Oxygen A-band Measurements from GF5 and PARASOL Satellites

Cloud top pressure(CTP)is one of the critical cloud properties that significantly affects the radiative effect of ***-angle polarized sensors can employ polarized bands(490 nm)or O_(2)A-bands(763 and 765 nm)to retrieve the ***,the CTP retrieved by the two methods shows inconsistent results in certain cases,and large uncertainties in low and thin cloud retrievals,which may lead to challenges in subsequent *** study proposes a synergistic algorithm that considers both O_(2)A-bands and polarized bands using a random forest(RF)*** CTP data are used as the true values and the polarized and non-polarized measurements are concatenated to train the RF model to determine ***,through analysis,we proposed that the polarized signal becomes saturated as the cloud optical thickness(COT)increases,necessitating a particular treatment for cases where COT<10 to improve the algorithm's *** synergistic method was then applied to the directional polarized camera(DPC)and Polarized and Directionality of the Earth’s Reflectance(POLDER)measurements for evaluation,and the resulting retrieval accuracy of the POLDER-based measurements(RMSEPOLDER=205.176 hPa,RMSEDPC=171.141 hPa,R^(2)POLDER=0.636,R^(2)DPC=0.663,respectively)were higher than that of the MODIS and POLDER Rayleigh pressure *** synergistic algorithm also showed good performance with the application of DPC *** algorithm is expected to provide data support for atmosphere-related fields as an atmospheric remote sensing algorithm within the Cloud Application for Remote Sensing,Atmospheric Radiation,and Updating Energy(CARE)platform.

Generally shortened 3′UTR due to alternative polyadenylation(APA)is widely observed in cancer,but its regulation mechanisms for cancer are not well ***,with profiling of APA in colorectal cancer tissues and poly(A)signal editing,we firstly identified that the shortened 3′UTR of CTNNIBP1 in colorectal cancer promotes cell proliferation and *** found that liquid-liquid phase separation(LLPS)of PABPN1 is reduced albeit with higher expression in cancer,and the reduction of LLPS leads to the shortened 3′UTR of CTNNBIP1and promotes cell proliferation and ***,the splicing factor SNRPD2 upregulated in colorectal cancer,can interact with glutamic-proline(EP)domain of PABPN1,and then disrupt LLPS of PABPN1,which attenuates the repression effect of PABPN1 on the proximal poly(A)*** results firstly reveal a new regulation mechanism of APA by disruption of LLPS of PABPN1,suggesting that regulation of APA by interfering LLPS of 3′end processing factor may have the potential as a new way for the treatment of cancer.

In this study,we introduce our newly developed measurement-fed-perception self-adaption Low-cost UAV Coordinated Carbon Observation Network(LUCCN)*** LUCCN primarily consists of two categories of instruments,including ground-based and UAV-based in-situ *** use the GMP343,a low-cost non-dispersive infrared sensor,in both ground-based and UAV-based *** first integrated measurement campaign took place in Shenzhen,China,4 May *** the campaign,we found that LUCCN’s UAV component presented significant data-collecting advantages over its ground-based counterpart owing to the relatively high altitudes of the point emission sources,which was especially obvious at a gas power plant in *** emission flux was calculated by a crosssectional flux(CSF)method,the results of which differed from the Open-Data Inventory for Anthropogenic Carbon dioxide(ODIAC).The CSF result was slightly larger than others because of the low sampling rate of the whole emission cross *** LUCCN system will be applied in future carbon monitoring campaigns to increase the spatiotemporal coverage of carbon emission information,especially in scenarios involving the detection of smaller-scale,rapidly varying sources and sinks.

通过对职业本科教育产教融合的发展阶段、内涵建设和指导性政策等进行梳理,围绕职业本科教育的办学机制、运行原则、人才供求和资源调控机制4个方面内容进行展开,并以此作为职业本科教育产教融合发展路径,从而丰富职业本科教育的办学模式和办学特色。同时从制定和实施产教融合政策、监督管理、经费保障等3个方面的支持政策进行分析,在提出优化路径和支持政策的同时,以浙江药科职业大学为例,对新建的职业本科大学在实施产教融合作出阐述,以此为职业本科教育在实施产教融合提供必要的理论依据。

A data assimilation-based method for optimizing parameterization schemes in a land surface process model

Optimizing the parameters of a land surface process model(LSPM) through data assimilation(DA) can not only improve and perfect the parameterization schemes in the LSPM through the physical mechanism, but also increase its regional adaptability and simulation capability. This has practical importance for improving simulation results and the climate-prediction capability of general circulation models(GCMs) and regional climate models(RCMs). This paper presents a DA-based method for optimizing the parameterization schemes in LSPMs. We optimize the unsaturated-soil water flow(Un SWF) model as an example by developing a soil-moisture assimilation scheme based on the Un SWF model and the extended Kalman filter(EKF) algorithm, and then combining them with the Variable Infiltration Capacity(VIC) model. Using a month as the assimilation window, we used the Shuffled Complex Evolution–University of Arizona(SCE-UA) algorithm to minimize the objective function through simulated and assimilated soil moisture, achieved the best fit with the given objective function measurement, and optimized the parameters of the Un SWF model, including the saturated-soil hydraulic conductivity, moisture content, matrix potential, and the Clapp and Hornberger constant. The optimal values of the model parameters were obtained during the DA period(the year 1986), and then the optimized parameters were used to improve the Un SWF model. Finally, numerical simulation experiments were carried out from 1986 to 1993 to evaluate the simulation capability of the improved model and to explore and realize the DA-based method for optimizing the soil water parameterization scheme in LSPMs. The experimental results indicated that the optimized model parameters improved and perfected the model based on the physical mechanism, and increased its simulation capability; the optimized model parameters had good temporal portability and their adaptability was stronger, achieving the aim of improving the model. An improved constraint method in optimal estimation of CO2 from GOSAT SWIR observations

Forest NPP estimation based on MODIS data under cloudless condition

Based on light-use efficiency model, an MODIS-derived daily net primary production (NPP) model was developed. In this model, a new model for the fraction of photosynthetically active radiation absorbed by vegetation (FPAR) is developed based on leaf area index (LAI) and albedo parameters, and a pho- tosynthetically active radiation (PAR) is calculated from the combination of Bird's model with aerosol optical thickness and water vapor derived from cloud free MODIS images. These two models are inte- grated into our predicted NPP model, whose most parameters are retrieved from MODIS data. In order to validate our NPP model, the observed NPP in the Qianyanzhou station and the Changbai Mountains station are used to compare with our predicted NPP, showing that they are in good agreement. The NASA NPP products also have been downloaded and compared with the measurements, which shows that the NASA NPP products underestimated NPP in the Qianyanzhou station but overestimated in the Changbai Mountains station in 2004.

Optical properties of chain-like soot with water coatings

In a moist atmosphere,the ageing process of aerosol can make the agglomerated soot particles compact,and cause them to be covered by a water *** on the cluster‒cluster aggregation(CCA)algorithm,the models of chain-like soot with water coatings(Models A to E)were generated in this *** superposition T-matrix method was employed to calculate their optical properties at 337,550,860,and 1060 nm wavelengths,with a focus on the impact of the soot inclusion morphology and water *** results indicate that for particles with a looser soot-inclusion structure,there is a larger difference in the scattering phase function between them and the corresponding particles with a spherical soot *** largest relative difference reached 51.8%at 337 *** by the size parameter,the extinction cross section(Cext),absorption cross section(Cabs),scattering cross section(Csca),and single scattering albedo(SSA)increased as the water coating radius(Rwater)increased and incidence wavelength *** traditional assumption of a spherical soot core can cause the Cext,Cabs,and Csca to be overestimated,and cause the SSA to be underestimated when the incident wavelength is 337 *** 1060 nm,the assumption can cause the Cext,Cabs,and Csca to be underestimated,and lead the SSA to be *** the fractal dimension(Df)of chain-like soot inclusion increased from 1.8 to 2.6,the SSA of the particles with a Rwater of 0.20μm significantly decreased from 0.784 to 0.764 at 1060 ***,the thickness of the water coating had a stronger effect on the particles with chain-like soot inclusion at 337 nm than that at 1060 *** the 337 nm wavelength,the difference between the Cext and Csca in Model B when Rwater=0.30 and 0.20μm was 0.588 and 0.587μm2,*** differences were only 0.096 and 0.095μm2,respectively,for the 1060 nm *** on the results calculated by the superposition T-matrix method,the ratios of P22(Θ)/P11(Θ)for chain-like soot with

A convolution algorithm to calculate differential cross sections of the Ring effect in the Earth's atmosphere based on rotational Raman scattering

The Ring effect refers to the filling in of Fraunhofer lines, which is mainly attributed to the rotational Raman scattering of solar spectra by N2 and O2 molecules in the atmosphere. The Ring effect is one of the most significant factors affecting the accuracy of retrieving concentrations of atmospheric trace gases, such as NO2 and SO2, from satellite observations through differential optical absorption spectroscopy. First in this study, the solar spectrum measured by the Ozone Monitoring Instrument onboard NASA Aura is convolved with the rotational Raman cross section of the atmosphere, which is calculated from the rotational Raman cross sections of N2 and O2 molecules, and divided by the original solar spectrum. The slowly varying term is removed by fitting it with a cubic polynomial to obtain the differential Ring spectrum. The results agree well with the calculations using a radiative transfer model (R2=0.9663). Second, the differential Ring spectrum is computed using two fixed wavelengths of 410 nm and 488 nm, and the resulting differential Ring spectra are similar to that calculated with varying wavelengths and agree well with the calculation using the radiative transfer model (R2=0.9624 and 0.9639 respectively). The computation time using the fixed wavelength is about 0.128% of that using a varying wavelength. Finally, we found that the frequency spectrum of the Raman cross sections for the atmosphere, N2 molecules and O2 molecules are similar; thus, the Raman cross section of N2 or O2 molecules can be used to compute the approximate Ring effect for simplicity.
