The Dongying Basin, Huimin Basin, and Zhanhua Basin constitute the jiyang Depression in Shandong Province. They are major oil and gas exploring districts within the depression. Through reconstructions of the paleotemperature of the three basins facilitated with the chlorite geothermometry, the thermal history of the Paleogene prototype basin in jiyang Depression and its geologic significance were explored. This study reveals that the Si^(4+) component in chlorites reduces gradually as its buried depth increases, while the AI~Ⅳ component increases accordingly. The chlorite type changes from silicon-rich diabantite to silicon-poor ferroamesite and prochlorite. The prochlorite in this district only appears in the deep buried depth, high temperature, and relatively old stratigraphies; while the diabantite appears in the shallower buried, low temperature, and newly formed strata; the ferroamesite exists in the conditions between prochlorite and diabantite formation. The diagenetic temperatures of the chlorites in these Paleogene basins are 171 — 2.8℃ for the Dongying Basin, 160—2.2. for the Huimin Basin, and 135—180℃ for the Zhanhua Basin. The differences of the chlorite diagenetic temperatures in the three basins were controlled by the duration time of the structural depressing processes. Higher temperature indicates longer depression time. The relationship between the chlorite diagenetic temperature and its buried depth indicates that the average paleogeothermal gradient is about 38.3℃ /km in the Paleogene prototype basin of jiyang Depression. It was higher than the present geothermal gradient (2.—30℃/km). This phenomenon was attributed to the evolution of the structural dynamics in the depression basin.

Bifacial PV modules capture solar radiation from both sides,enhancing power generation by utilizing reflected ***,there are difficulties in obtaining ground albedo data due to its dynamic *** address this issue,this study established an experimental testing system on a rooftop and developed a model to analyze dynamic albedo variations,utilizing specific data from the *** results showed that the all-day dynamic variations in ground albedo ranged from 0.15 to 0.2. with an average of ***,this study eva{2.ates the annual performance of a bifacial PV system in Beijing by considering the experimental conditions,utilizing bifacial modules with a front-side efficiency of 2..2.%and a bifaciality factor of 0.8,and analyzing the dynamic all-day albedo data obtained from the numerical *** results indicate that the annual radiation on the rear side of bifacial PV modules is 2.8.90 kWh/m^(2.,which accounts for only 15.50%of the front-side ***,when using the commonly default albedo va{2.e of 0.2.the rear-side radiation is 333.01 kWh/m^(2.,resulting in an overestimation of 19.40%.Under dynamic albedo conditions,the bifacial system is predicted to generate an annual power output of 412.55 kWh/m^(2.,representing a significant increase of approximately 12.37%compared to an idealized monofacial PV system with equivalent front-side *** a 2.-year lifespan,the bifacial PV system is estimated to reduce carbon emissions by 8393.91 kgCO_(2./m^(2.,providing an additional reduction of 92..31.kgCO_(2./m^(2.compared to the idealized monofacial PV *** findings offer va{2.able insights to promote the application of bifacial PV modules.

Enhanced silicate weathering （ESW） is a geoengineering method aimed at accelerating carbon dioxide (CO2. removal （CDR） from atmosphere by increasing the weathering flux of silicate rocks and minerals. It has emerged as a promising strategy for CDR. Theoretical studies underscore ESW’s substantial potential for CDR and its diverse benefits for crops when applied to croplands. However， the well-known significant discrepancies in silicate weathering rates between laboratory and field conditions introduce uncertainty in CDR through ESW. By compiling data from recent literature， we calculated and compared CDR efficiency (t CO2.silicate-1ha-1y-1) observed in mesocosm experiments and field trials. The findings indicate that CDR efficiencies in field trials are comparable to or exceeding that observed in mesocosm experiments by 1-3 orders of magnitude， particularly evident with wollastonite application. The hierarchy of CDR efficiency among silicates suitable for ESW is ranked as follows: olivine ≥ wollastonite > basalt > albite ≥ anorthite. We suggest the potential role of biota， especially fungi， in contributing to higher CDR efficiencies observed in field trials compared to mesocosm experiments. We further emphasize introducing fungi known for their effectiveness in silicate weathering could potentially enhance CDR efficiency through ESW in croplands. But before implementing fungal-facilitated ESW， three key questions need addressing: （i） How does the community of introduced fungi evolve over time? （ii） What is the long-term trajectory of CDR efficiency following fungal introduction? and （iii） Could fungal introduction lead to organic matter oxidation， resulting in elevated CO2.missions? These investigations are crucial for optimizing the efficiency and sustainability of fungal-facilitated ESW strategy.

Cymbidium(Orchidaceae:Epidendroideae),with around 60 species,is widely-distributed across Southeast Asia,providing a nice system for studying the processes that underlie patterns of biodiversity in the ***,phylogenetic relationships of Cymbidium have not been well resolved,hampering investigations of species diversification and the biogeographical history of this *** this study,we construct a plastome phylogeny of 56 Cymbidium species,with four well-resolved major clades,which provides a framework for biogeographical and diversification rate *** dating and biogeographical analyses show that Cymbidium likely originated in the region spanning northern IndoBurma to the eastern Himalayas during the early Miocene(~2..10 Ma).It then rapidly diversified into four major clades in East Asia within approximately a million years during the middle *** *** to the adjacent regions(Borneo,Philippines,and sulawesi)primarily occurred during the Pliocene-Pleistocene *** analyses indicate that the net diversification rate of Cymbidium has decreased since its origin,and is positively associated with changes in temperature and monsoon *** hydrothermal conditions brought by monsoon intensification in the early Miocene possibly contributed to the initial rapid diversification,after which the net diversification rate was reduced with the cooling climate after the middle *** transition from epiphytic to terrestrial habits may have enabled adaptation to cooler environments and colonization of northern niches,yet without a significant effect on diversification *** study provides new insights into how monsoon activity and temperature changes affected the diversification dynamics of plants in Southeast Asia.

Dear Editor,The common marmoset(Callithrix jacchus),a small New World monkey species,is considered an ideal non-human primate model for studying the evolution and neural mechanism of vocal behavior due to their rich call repertoire and vocal communication[1-3].Especially,the early vocal development of marmoset monkeys has attracted much attention,because newborn marmosets have been shown to exhibit a vocal development *** two months after birth,marmosets'vocalizations undergo dramatic changes from cries to adult-like mature calls,a process that is influenced not only by inner physical maturation but also by parental care and feedback[4].
