Vortex-Induced Vibration of Two Parallel Risers:Experimental Test and Numerical Simulation

The vortex-induced vibration of two identical rigidly mounted risers in a parallel arrangement was studied using Ansys-CFX and model *** vortex shedding and force were recorded to determine the effect of spacing on the two-degree-of-freedom oscillation of the *** was used to study the single riser and two parallel risers in 2–8D spacing considering the coupling *** of the limited width of water channel,only three different riser spacings,2D,3D,and 4D,were tested to validate the characteristics of the two parallel risers by comparing to the numerical *** results indicate that the lift force changes significantly with the increase in spacing,and in the case of 3D spacing,the lift force of the two parallel risers reaches the *** vortex shedding of the risers in 3D spacing shows that a variable velocity field with the same frequency as the vortex shedding is generated in the overlapped area,thus equalizing the period of drag force to that of lift *** can be concluded that the interaction between the two parallel risers is significant when the risers are brought to a small distance between them because the trajectory of riser changes from oval to curve 8 as the spacing is *** phase difference of lift force between the two risers is also different as the spacing changes.

The role of the delta isobar degrees of freedom in nucleon–nucleon scattering is *** attempt to understand why the dimensionally regularized two-pion exchanges with the explicit delta isobar is much stronger than the ones with spectral function *** the cutoff value of spectral function regularization is varied,the isoscalar central component exhibits a rather large cut-off *** reveals a surprisingly large numerical factor of the deltaful two-pion exchange *** power counting is adjusted accordingly and we discuss the results and how to improve upon this finding.

The 20th century witnessed a strong cultural enlightenment movement in China, starting with the industrialization movement in the late 19th century Qing dynasty （1616-1912） and continuing in the May Fourth movement in 1919. The cultural enlightenment movement was strongly influenced by Western ideas such as democracy and the primacy of science. The Chinese modern cultural enlightenment can be compared with the European enlightenment that began with the Renaissance. One typical characteristic of this Chinese enlightenment that I wish to emphasize is the determining function of ideas and cultures, especially in light of the many criticisms of traditional Confucianism by intellectuals who blamed it for all the failures of Westernization in the 20th century. This is what I call the ＂Confucian Cultural Fallacy.＂ This fallacy has influenced many famous intellectuals, such as Tu Wei-ming. In this paper, I set out to analyze how this fallacy influenced Tu in two of his major arguments： the third stage of the Confucian revival movement, and the idea of ＂cultural China.＂ Throughout my analysis of different versions of the Confucian cultural fallacy in modern China, I also discuss how best to understand the Chinese cultural enlightenment movement in relation to Western Enlightenment movements.

In this paper, the average packet delay on IEEE 802.11 DCF under finite load traffic in multi-hop ad hoc networks is analyzed. We employ a Markov chain model to analyze the probability of transmission at each node in an arbitrary slot and derive the channel access delay. We model each node using an M/G/1 queue and derive the queueing delay. The model is extended from analyzing the single-hop average packet delay to evaluating the end-to-end packet delay in multi-hop ad hoc networks without assuming the traffic to be in a saturation state. To validate our analytic results, we have done extensive simulation. The analytic and the simulation results match very well.

With the emerging diverse applications in data centers,the demands on quality of service in data centers also become diverse,such as high throughput of elephant flows and low latency of deadline-sensitive ***,traditional TCPs are ill-suited to such situations and always result in the inefficiency(*** the flow deadline,inevitable throughput collapse)of data *** further degrades the user-perceived quality of service(QoS)in data *** reduce the flow completion time of mice and deadline-sensitive flows along with promoting the throughput of elephant flows,an efficient and deadline-aware priority-driven congestion control(PCC)protocol,which grants mice and deadline-sensitive flows the highest priority,is proposed in this ***,PCC computes the priority of different flows according to the size of transmitted data,the remaining data volume,and the flows’*** PCC adjusts the congestion window according to the flow priority and the degree of network ***,switches in data centers control the input/output of packets based on the flow priority and the queue *** from existing TCPs,to speed up the data transfers of mice and deadline-sensitive flows,PCC provides an effective method to compute and encode the flow priority *** to the flow priority,switches can manage packets efficiently and ensure the data transfers of high priority flows through a weighted priority scheduling with minor *** experimental results prove that PCC can improve the data transfer performance of mice and deadline-sensitive flows while guaranting the throughput of elephant flows.

The good service experience,entertainment facilities and overall environment of a scenic spot,as well as the spending that tourists feel the value for money,will all affect tourists’ own tourism experience and thus affect their revisit intention A questionnaire survey was conducted to Dinghu Mountain tourists,and different analysis methods of SPSS 22.0 statistical analysis software were used to analyze the results of the *** results showed that the tourism experience value and its dimensions had a positive impact on revisit intention,that is,hedonism,return on investment,aesthetic sensibility and service superiority of tourism experience value had a positive impact on revisit *** results will provide the theoretical guidance for Dinghu Mountain Scenic Spot to attach importance to tourist experience and to take corresponding measures to improve tourist experience.
