Intranasal iron administration induces iron deposition,immunoactivation, and cell-specific vulnerability in the olfactory bulb of C57BL/6 mice

Iron is the most abundant transition metal in the brain and is essential for brain development and neuronal function;however, its abnormal accumulation is also implicated in various neurological disorders. The olfactory bulb(OB), an early target in neurodegenerative diseases, acts as a gateway for environmental toxins and contains diverse neuronal populations with distinct roles. This study explored the cell-specific vulnerability to iron in the OB using a mouse model of intranasal administration of ferric ammonium citrate(FAC). Olfactory function was assessed through olfactory discrimination tests, while iron levels in OB tissues, cerebrospinal fluid(CSF), and serum were quantified using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS), immunohistochemical staining,and iron assays. Transcriptomic changes and immune responses were assessed using RNA sequencing and immune cell infiltration analysis. Results showed that intranasal FAC administration impaired olfactory function,accompanied by iron deposition in the olfactory mucosa and OB, as well as damage to olfactory sensory ***, these effects occurred without elevations in CSF or serum iron levels. OB iron accumulation activated multiple immune cells, including microglia and astrocytes,but did not trigger ferroptosis. Spatial transcriptomic sequencing of healthy adult mouse OBs revealed significant cellular heterogeneity, with an abundance of neuroglia and neurons. Among neurons, GABAergic neurons were the most prevalent, followed by glutamatergic and dopaminergic neurons, while cholinergic and serotonergic neurons were sparsely distributed. Under iron-stressed conditions, oligodendrocytes, dopaminergic neurons, and glutamatergic neurons exhibited significant damage, while GABAergic neurons remained *** findings highlight the selective vulnerability of neuronal and glial populations to iron-induced stress,offering novel insights into the loss of specific cell types in the OB during iron

为了探究主压载水舱吹除速率及吹除顺序对潜艇应急上浮特性的影响,以Suboff为研究对象,基于RANS方程和整体动网格技术,联合简化的高压气吹除主压载水舱模型,构建潜艇应急上浮运动仿真计算模型。通过线性施加上浮力,得到初始航速为1 m/s时不同吹除速率以及不同吹除顺序和时间间隔下,潜艇应急上浮运动参数随时间的变化情况。结果表明:主压载水舱吹除速率越快,艇体出水越快,纵摇角的幅值越小,横摇角的幅值越大;按照首、中、尾组和中、首、尾组顺序吹除水舱相较于同时吹除,纵倾角幅值更大,上浮更快;按照首、中、尾组相较于中、首、尾组顺序吹除水舱,出水更快;在同一吹除顺序下,时间间隔越长,纵摇角幅值越大,而间隔时间为1.0 s的出水时间早于另外两种工况;在所有工况中,按照首、中、尾组顺序吹除水舱时间间隔为1.0 s的工况出现出水最高点最早为7.08 s,相较于同时吹除提前了1.21 s。研究结果对于潜艇高压气的压力设计及实艇应急上浮的吹除策略具有一定的指导意义。

为研究不同程度骨质疏松对松质骨力学性能及骨小梁结构分布的影响,该文采用体外脱钙方法对牛股骨松质骨进行不同程度的骨质疏松模拟,开展不同脱钙程度牛股骨松质骨的拉伸和断裂试验。研究结果表明:不同脱钙程度对松质骨的拉伸和断裂性能都有显著影响,但因其骨小梁分布特征差异,难以直接判断其影响规律。孔隙率和分形维数能够一定程度反映骨小梁分布特征,脱钙剂浓度越高,试样的分形维数越低。松质骨的弹性模量、抗拉强度随着孔隙率的增加而减小,随着分形维数的增加而增大。松质骨的断裂性能随着孔隙率的增加而减小,随着分形维数的增加而提高。

为确保孤网模式下频率稳定性,水电站通常采用参数较小的固定PID(F-PID)控制,导致调节速度慢,难以实现全工况最优控制.针对这一问题,设计了一种基于改进灰狼优化算法(IGWO)和反向传播神经网络(BPNN)的水轮机调节系统(HTRS)自适应变PID控制器(V-PID),以在全工况下获得最优调节效果.首先,搭建高精度的HTRS仿真平台,并按水头和导叶开度变化范围划分工况.然后基于Hopf分岔理论确定各工况下PID参数约束条件及最大值.进一步,采用基于PID参数最大值数据集、综合ITAE指标和非线性收敛因子的IGWO计算出各工况下最优PID参数,并以最优PID参数作为BPNN样本数据,通过训练得到自适应V-PID控制器神经网络模型.最后,以某实际水电站为例,验证了V-PID控制器效果.仿真试验表明:基于V-PID控制器的非线性HTRS模型可根据工况变化在线自动调整PID参数,以结构简单、易实现为前提,实现了孤网模式下水电机组全工况最优控制.

Energy Expenditure of Trotting Gait Under Different Gait Parameters

Robots driven by batteries are clean, quiet, and can work indoors or in space. However, the battery endurance is a great problem. A new gait parameter design energy saving strategy to extend the working hours of the quadruped robot is proposed. A dynamic model of the robot is established to estimate and analyze the energy expenditures during trotting. Given a trotting speed, opti- mal stride frequency and stride length can minimize the energy expenditure. However, the relationship between the speed and the optimal gait parameters is nonlinear, which is difficult for practical application. Therefore, a simplified gait parameter design method for energy saving is pro- posed. A critical trotting speed of the quadruped robot is found and can be used to decide the gait parameters. When the robot is travelling lower than this speed, it is better to keep a constant stride length and change the cycle period. When the robot is travelling higher than this speed, it is better to keep a constant cycle period and change the stride length. Simulations and experiments on the quadruped robot show that by using the proposed gait parameter design approach, the energy expenditure can be reduced by about 54% compared with the 100 mm stride length under 500 mm/s speed. In general, an energy expenditure model based on the gait parameter of the quadruped robot is built and the trotting gait parameters design approach for energy saving is proposed.

Estimation of the J-resistance curve for Cr2Ni2MoV steel using the modified load separation parameter S_(pb) method

Based on load separation theory, the load separation parameter Spb method is an effective approach for estimating the J-resistance curve from records of load versus displacement directly, using one sharp cracked specimen and an additional reference blunt cracked specimen. However, the effect of the reference blunt cracked specimen on J-resistance determination was not explicitly considered in past work. In this paper, a modified load separation parameter Spb method was developed to eliminate this effect, and then a unique estimation of instantaneous crack length for one sharp cracked specimen could be obtained. Furthermore, a forced blunting calibration method was also adopted to determine the instantaneous crack length in the load inseparable region, referring to a normalization method. Experiments on steam turbine rotator steel Cr2Ni2MoV were carried out to estimate J-resistance curves using an unloading compliance method. By removing unload and reload data from load-displacement records, the J-resistance curve for the same sharp cracked specimen was estimated using the modified separation parameter Spb method. The results indicate that the modified Spb method completely eliminates the effect of the reference blunt cracked specimen on the instantaneous crack length determination of the sharp cracked specimen. However, different J-resistance curves in a small range of crack extension are present when different blunting coefficients are used in the blunting line equation. The J-resistance curve obtained from the modified Spb method agrees well with that obtained from the compliance method.

Superthermal Electron Produced in Relativistic Laser-Plasma Interaction

The dynamics of a relativistic electron submitted to an intense, plane wave, linearly polarized laser field is reviewed. Based on the dynamics, the temperature of the electron in the laser field is delined and calculated. It is found that the calculated temperature fits the first temperature observed in the experiment by Malka et al. A model to evaluate the electron temperature by taking the electron-ion scattering into account is proposed. It is found that when I ≥ 4.0 × 101s W/cm2 the electron temperature by considering the scattering, T hs, is evidently larger than the electron temperature without considering the scattering, Th. This result is in favor of explaining the two-temperature distribution of the electron energy observed in the experiment by Malka et al.
