With the recent advancement in nanotechnology,nanoparticles(NPs)offer an ample variety of smart functions than conventional materials in various *** compared to larger particles,NPs possess unique characteristics and excellent abilities,such as low toxicity,chemical stability,surface functionality,and *** advantageous properties allow them to be widely utilized in many applications,including biomedical applications,energy applications,IT applications,and industrial *** order to fulfill the increasing demands of NP applications,existing NP synthesis methods need to be improved based on the requirements of different applications to further their usage.A comprehensive understanding of the relationships between synthesis parameters and properties of NPs can help us better fine-tune them with designed properties and minimal *** review paper will discuss the commonly used synthesis methods of functionalized NPs,as well as future directions and challenges to develop various synthesis methods further.

全球贸易扩张和气候变化促进外来植物的入侵,致使很多生境存在多种入侵植物。然而,入侵物种间如何相互作用,以及调节其相互作用的内在机制仍不清楚。本研究通过温室盆栽实验,探究18种入侵植物的邻近效应对中国中部主要入侵植物小蓬草(Erigeron canadensis)生长的影响。所选取的邻近入侵植物分为3个功能群:禾草类、非禾草类草本和豆科植物。同时,这些邻近入侵植物与小蓬草的系统发育距离存在差异。研究结果表明,小蓬草的生长取决于邻近入侵植物的种类。12种入侵植物抑制了小蓬草的生长,4种入侵植物促进其生长,而其它入侵植物对小蓬草的生长没有影响。此外,小蓬草和邻近入侵植物的功能和系统发育相似性决定小蓬草的生长。豆科入侵植物促进小蓬草的生长,而禾草类植物和非禾草类草本植物抑制小蓬草的生长。虽然促进作用不受系统发育距离的影响,但是抑制作用随着小蓬草与邻近入侵植物系统发育距离的增加不断增强。这些结果表明,小蓬草的成功入侵可能依赖于邻近入侵植物的种类。小蓬草与邻近入侵植物互作关系和驱动机制的研究,有助于制定多种入侵植物防控治理的优先次序。

In this work, we evaluate the lifetimes of the doubly charmed baryons Ξcc^＋ ,Ξcc^＋＋, and Ωcc^＋. We carefully calculate the non-spectator contributions at the quark level, where the Cabibbo-suppressed diagrams are also included. The hadronic matrix elements are evaluated in the simple non-relativistic harmonic oscillator model. Our numerical results are generally consistent with that obtained by other authors who used the diquark model. However, all the theoretical predictions on the lifetimes are one order larger than the upper limit set by the recent SELEX measurement. This discrepancy would be clarified by the future experiment. If more accurate experiment still confirms the value of the SELEX collaboration, there must be some unknown mechanism to be explored.

A biological aerated filter （BAF） was evaluated as a fixed-biofilm process to remove water-borne volatile organic compounds （VOCs） from a multiple layer ceramic capacitor （MLCC） manufacturing plant in southern Taiwan. The components of VOC were identified to be toluene, 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene, 1,3,5-trimethylbenzene, bromodichloromethane and isopropanol （IPA）. The full-scale BAF was constructed of two separate reactors in series, respectively, using 10- and 15-cm diameter polypropylene balls as the packing materials and a successful preliminary bench-scale experiment was performed to feasibility. Experimental results show that the BAF removed over 90% chemical oxygen demand （COD） from the influent with （1188 ± 605） mg/L of COD. A total organic loading of 2.76 kg biochemical oxygen demand （BOD）/（m3 packing·d） was determined for the packed bed, in which the flow pattern approached that of a mixed flow. A limited VOC concentration of （0.97 ± 0.29） ppmv （as methane） was emitted from the BAF system. Moreover, the emission rate of VOC was calculated using the proposed formula, based on an air-water mass equilibrium relationship, and compared to the simulated results obtained using the Water 9 model. Both estimation approaches of calculation and model simulation revealed that 0.1% IPA （0.0031-0.0037 kg/d） were aerated into a gaseous phase, and 30% to 40% （0.006-0.008 kg/d） of the toluene were aerated.

Volatile organic compounds(VOCs)are the important precursors of the tropospheric ozone(O3)and secondary organic aerosols(SOA),both of which are known to harm human health and disrupt the earth’s climate *** this study,VOC emission factors,O3 and SOA formation potentials were estimated for two types of industrial boilers:coal-fired boilers(n=3)and oil-fired boilers(n=3).Results showed that EVOCs concentrations were more than nine times higher for oil-fire d boilers compared to those for coal-fired *** factors ofΣVOCs were found to be higher for oil-fired boilers(9.26-32.83 mg-VOC/kg)than for coal-fired boilers(1.57-4.13 mg-VOC/kg).Alkanes and aromatics were obtained as the most abundant groups in coal-fired boilers,while oxygenated organics and aromatics were the most contributing groups in oil-fired ***,n-hexane and o-ethyl toluene were the abundant VOC species in coal-fired boiler emissions,whereas toluene was the most abundant VOC species emitted from oil-fired boilers.O3 and SOA formation potentials were found 12 and 18 times,respectively,higher for oil-fired than for coal-fired *** OFP ranged from 3.99 to 11.39 mg-O3/kg for coal-fired *** oil-fired boilers,total OFP ranged from 36.16 to 131.93 mg-O3/***,total secondary organic aerosol potential(SOAP)ranged from 65.4 to 122.5 mg-SOA/kg and 779.9 to 2252.5 mg-SOA/kg for the coal-fired and oil-fired boilers,respectively.

水合物流动障碍的形成已经成为深水气井测试和生产过程最为严峻的流动保障问题之一,在分析了深水气井井筒外部环境温度分布的基础上,针对井下节流工况,探究了井下节流对井筒中水合物生成区域分布的影响。结果表明:深水井筒外部环境温度由地面至储层呈现先减小后增大的趋势,泥线处水温为沿程温度的最低点;海水上部200 m以内的混合层和温跃层海水水温受表层温度和季节的影响很大,恒温层海水温度低、变化小;由泥线至储层近似呈线性增大,达储层后温度到达最高值;测试气量增加,井筒流温曲线右移,由于高产气量下携热量升高,受外界低温环境影响更小,温度曲线更加平缓;节流后的水合物生成区域和过冷度分布由受Joule-Thomson效应影响的流体流温和水合物相平衡温度的下降幅度决定;低深度节流往往导致流体温降大于水合物相平衡温降,促使水合物生成区域扩大和过冷度升高,加剧水合物堵塞风险;合理的高深度节流能有效避开水合物生成条件,起到水合物预防的作用。

The objective of this research is to embed information in personalized stamps by modified digital halftoning techniques. The displaced and deformed halftone dots are used to encode data in the personalized stamps. Hidden information can be retrieved by either an optical decoder or digital image processing techniques. The results show that personalized stamps with value-added features like data hiding or digital watermarking can be successfully implemented.
