Optical remote sensing has been widely used to study internal solitary waves(ISWs).Wind speed has an important effect on ISW imaging of optical remote sensing.The light and dark bands of ISWs cannot be observed by optical remote sensing when the wind is too strong.The relationship between the characteristics of ISWs bands in optical remote sensing images and the wind speed is still unclear.The influence of wind speeds on the characteristics of the ISWs bands is investigated based on the physical simulation experiments with the wind speeds of 1.6,3.1,3.5,3.8,and 3.9 m/s.The experimental results show that when the wind speed is 3.9 m/s,the ISWs bands cannot be observed in optical remote sensing images with the stratification of h_(1)∶h_(2)=7∶58,ρ_(1)∶ρ_(2)=1∶1.04.When the wind speeds are 3.1,3.5,and 3.8 m/s,which is lower than 3.9 m/s,the ISWs bands can be obtained in the simulated optical remote sensing image.The location of the band’s dark and light extremum and the band’s peak-to-peak spacing are almost not affected by wind speed.More-significant wind speeds can cause a greater gray difference of the light-dark bands.This provided a scientific basis for further understanding of ISW optical remote sensing imaging.

To address the challenge of achieving both high sensitivity and a high quality factor in quartz crystal microbalance（QCM） humidity sensors,a nanodiamond（ND）/Ti3C2MXene composite-coated QCM humidity sensor was fabricated.The material characteristics of ND,Ti3C2MXene,and ND/Ti3C2MXene composite were analyzed by transmission electron microscopy（TEM） and Fourier transform infrared（FTIR） spectroscopy.The experimental results demonstrated that the hydrophilic ND nanoparticles coated on Ti3C2MXene nanosheet prevented the self-stacking of Ti3C2MXene and enhanced the sensitivity of Ti3C2MXene-based QCM humidity sensor.Moreover,the high mechanical modulus of Ti3C2MXene material helped ND/Ti3C2MXene composite-coated QCM humidity sensor to achieve a high quality factor（> 20,000）.ND/Ti3C2MXene compositecoated QCM humidity sensor exhibited a sensitivity of 82.45 Hz/%RH,a humidity hysteresis of 1.1 %RH,fast response/recovery times,acceptable repeatability,and good stability from 11.3%RH to 97.3%RH.The response mechanism of ND/Ti3C2MXene composite-coated QCM humidity sensor was analyzed in combination with a bi-exponential kinetic adsorption model.Finally,the potential application of ND/Ti3C2MXene composite-coated QCM humidity sensor was demonstrated through its frequency response to wooden blocks with different moisture contents.

BACKGROUND The prevalence of metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD)is rapidly increasing,currently affecting approximately 25%of the global population.Liver fibrosis represents a crucial stage in the development of MAFLD,with advanced liver fibrosis elevating the risks of cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.Simple serum markers are less effective in diagnosing liver fibrosis compared to more complex markers.However,imaging techniques like transient elastography face limitations in clinical application due to equipment and technical constraints.Consequently,it is imperative to identify a straightforward yet effective method for assessing MAFLD-associated liver fibrosis.AIM To investigate the predictive value of angiopoietin-like protein 8(ANGPTL8)in MAFLD and its progression.METHODS We analyzed 160 patients who underwent abdominal ultrasonography in the Endocrinology Department,Xiaogan Central Hospital affiliated to Wuhan University of Science and Technology,during September 2021-July 2022.Using abdominal ultrasonography and MAFLD diagnostic criteria,among the 160 patients,80 patients(50%)were diagnosed with MAFLD.The MAFLD group was divided into the liver fibrosis group(n=23)and non-liver fibrosis group(n=57)by using a cut-off fibrosis-4 index≥1.45.Logistical regression was used to analyze the risk of MAFLD and the risk factors for its progression.Receiver operating characteristic curves were used to evaluate the predictive value of serum ANGPTL8 in MAFLD and its progression.RESULTS Compared with non-MAFLD patients,MAFLD patients had higher serum ANGPTL8 and triglyceride-glucose(TyG)index(both P<0.05).Serum ANGPTL8(r=0.576,P<0.001)and TyG index(r=0.473,P<0.001)were positively correlated with MAFLD.Serum ANGPTL8 was a risk factor for MAFLD[odds ratio(OR):1.123,95%confidence interval(CI):1.066-1.184,P<0.001).Serum ANGPTL8 and ANGPTL8+TyG index predicted MAFLD[area under the curve(AUC):0.832 and 0.886,respectively;both P<0.05].Compared with MAFLD patients without fibrosis,those with fibrosis

BACKGROUND Tumor budding(TB)has emerged as a promising independent prognostic biomarker in colorectal cancer(CRC).The prognostic role of TB has been extensively studied and currently affects clinical decision making in patients with stage I and II CRC.However,existing prognostic studies on TB in stage III CRC have been confined to small retrospective cohort studies.Consequently,this study investigated the correlation among TB categories,clinicopathological features,and prognosis in stage III-IV CRC to further enhance the precision and individualization of treatment through refined prognostic risk stratification.AIM To analyze the relationship between TB categories and clinicopathological characteristics and assess their prognostic value in stage III-IV CRC to further refine the prognostic risk stratification of stage III-IV CRC.METHODS The clinical data of 547 CRC patients were collected for this retrospective study.Infiltration at the front edge of the tumor buds was counted according to the 2016 International Tumor Budding Consensus Conference guidelines.RESULTS Multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression analysis demonstrated that chemotherapy(P=0.004),clinical stage IV(P<0.001),≥4 regional lymph node metastases(P=0.004),left-sided colonic cancer(P=0.040),and Bd 2-3(P=0.002)were independent prognostic factors in patients with stage III-IV CRC.Moreover,the density of tumor infiltrating lymphocytes was higher in Bd 1 than in Bd 2-3,both in the tumor stroma and its invasive margin.CONCLUSION TB has an independent predictive prognostic value in patients with stage III-IV CRC.It is recommended to complete the TB report of stage III-IV CRC cases in the standardized pathological report to further refine risk stratification.

Biomimetic materials have emerged as attractive and competitive alternatives for tissue engineering(TE)and regenerative medicine.In contrast to conventional biomaterials or synthetic materials,biomimetic scaffolds based on natural biomaterial can offer cells a broad spectrum of biochemical and biophysical cues that mimic the in vivo extracellular matrix(ECM).Additionally,such materials have mechanical adaptability,micro-structure interconnectivity,and inherent bioactivity,making them ideal for the design of living implants for specific applications in TE and regenerative medicine.This paper provides an overview for recent progress of biomimetic natural biomaterials(BNBMs),including advances in their preparation,functionality,potential applications and future challenges.We highlight recent advances in the fabrication of BNBMs and outline general strategies for functionalizing and tailoring the BNBMs with various biological and physicochemical characteristics of native ECM.Moreover,we offer an overview of recent key advances in the functionalization and applications of versatile BNBMs for TE applications.Finally,we conclude by offering our perspective on open challenges and future developments in this rapidly-evolving field.

Natural fractures(NFs) are common in shale and tight reservoirs, where staged multi-cluster fracturing of horizontal wells is a prevalent technique for reservoir stimulation. While NFs and stress interference are recognized as significant factors affecting hydraulic fracture(HF) propagation, the combined influence of these factors remains poorly understood. To address this knowledge gap, a novel coupled hydromechanical-damage(HMD) model based on the phase field method is developed to investigate the propagation of multi-cluster HFs in fractured reservoirs. The comprehensive energy functional and control functions are established, while incorporating dynamic fluid distribution between multiple perforation clusters and refined changes in rock mechanical parameters during hydraulic fracturing. The HMD coupled multi-cluster HF propagation model investigates various scenarios, including single HF and single NF, reservoir heterogeneity, single HF and NF clusters, and multi-cluster HFs with NF clusters. The results show that the HMD coupling model can accurately capture the impact of approach angle(θ),stress difference and cementation strength on the interaction of HF and NF. The criterion of the open and cross zones is not fixed. The NF angle(a) is not a decisive parameter to discriminate the interaction.According to the relationship between approach angle(θ) and NF angle(a), the contact relationship of HF can be divided into three categories(θ = a, θ a). The connected NF can increase the complexity of HF by inducing it to form branch fracture, resulting in a fractal dimension of HF as high as2.1280 at angles of ±45°. Inter-fracture interference from the heel to the toe of HF shows the phenomenon of no, strong and weak interference. Interestingly, under the influence of NFs, distant HFs from the injection can become dominant fractures. For the reduction of bovine serum proteins from wastewater,a novel mixed matrix membrane was prepared by functionalizing the substrate material polyaryletherketone(PAEK),followed by carboxyl groups(C-SPAEKS),and then adding amino-functionalized UiO-66-NH_(2)(Am-UiO-66-NH_(2)).Aminofunctionalization of UiO-66 was accomplished by melamine,followed by an amidation reaction to immobilize Am-UiO-66-NH_(2),which was immobilized on the surface of the membrane as well as in the pore channels,which enhanced the hydrophilicity of the membrane surface while increasing the negative potential of the membrane surface.This nanoparticle-loaded ultrafiltration membrane has good permeation performance,with a pure water flux of up to 482.3 L·m^(-2)·h^(-1) for C-SPAEKS/AmUiO-66-NH_(2) and a retention rate of up to 98.7%for bovine serum albumin(BSA)-contaminated solutions.Meanwhile,after several hydrophilic modifications,the flux recovery of BSA contaminants by this series of membranes increased from 56.2%to 80.55%of pure membranes.The results of ultra-filtration flux time tests performed at room temperature showed that the series of ultrafiltration membranes remained relatively stable over a test time of 300 min.Thus,the newly developed mixed matrix membrane showed potential for high efficiency and stability in wastewater treatment containing bovine serum proteins.

针对特殊散粒体压制成型过程发生弹塑性变形时，负载刚度呈现复杂的非线性时变特性，散粒体压制成型装置容易产生抖动现象，进而影响产品的密度均匀性和一致性问题，建立了散粒体压制成型装置电-液伺服系统的数学模型，提出了一种基于压制成型过程的非线性负载力补偿算法，通过对消补偿机制将非线性负载力对系统的影响进行抑制，使系统成为解耦线性系统．试验结果表明：当采用PID+LOC非线性负载力补偿算法时，散粒体压制成型过程中非线性负载力对控制系统性能的影响显著降低，运动控制曲线基本上呈线性变化；由于散粒体的蠕变特性，当采用比例-积分-微分(PID)控制算法时，在保压阶段容易诱发压制力的衰落振荡现象，而采用PID+LOC非线性负载力补偿算法则彻底消除了压制力的衰落振荡现象，并且提高了系统的控制精度，扩展了系统的频宽．

Gaoligong Mountain(hereafter,GLGM)is located at the intersection of Myanmar and China’s Yunnan Province and Xizang Zizhiqu,and spans three globally significant biodiversity hotspots:the Himalayas,Indo-Burma,and the Mountains of Southwest China.Although surveys of mammals in this ecologically important region have a long history,there is no comprehensive systematic checklist and distribution account of the mammals of GLGM.Here,we compiled a mammal species checklist of GLGM based on thorough field investigations and literature reviews.We also examined specimen collections and applied camera trapping surveys to explore the region’s mammal diversity and distribution patterns.We recorded 212 mammal species in nine orders,33 families,and 119 genera,which accounts for 30.5%of China’s mammal species,and a high proportion of nationally protected(50)and globally threatened(29)species.Mammal species richness showed a symmetrical unimodal curve along the elevation gradient,peaking at intermediate elevations(2000 to 2500 m above sea level(asl)),and increasing generally from south to north,slightly higher in the east slope than in the west.Cluster analysis and non-metric multidimensional scaling revealed three distinct elevational assemblages(3500 m asl)and significant south-to-north variation,but no substantial differences between the east and west slopes.The GLGM present a unique conservation value due to the high proportions of rare and endangered mammal species,complex faunal composition,high endemism,and being the distribution boundary for many species.This study is an important phased account of mammal diversity in GLGM and makes a prospect for future research.

目的比较眼肌型重症肌无力(OMG)患者接受或不接受免疫抑制治疗的全身转化风险。方法回顾了2015年1月1日至2019年5月1日在空军军医大学唐都医院注册登记的OMG患者的资料,按照是否接受免疫抑制治疗将患者分为治疗组和对照组,使用多因素Cox比例风险回归模型分析比较了发病后2年内两组患者的疾病转化风险。通过敏感性分析,评估了免疫抑制治疗时程以及不同免疫治疗方案下的转化风险;使用分层分析,评价了不同亚组因子水平下主要结果的一致性。结果共收集702例以眼肌症状起病的重症肌无力(MG)患者的信息,367例(52.3%)患者被纳入治疗组,平均发病年龄为(50.54±15.1)岁,其中159例(43.3%)为女性。335例(47.7%)患者被纳入对照组,平均年龄(49.1±14.6)岁,159例(47.5%)为女性。治疗组中28例(7.7%),对照组中106例(31.6%)患者在观察期内转化为全身型重症肌无力(GMG)。经多变量校正的Cox模型分析后发现,与对照组相比,接受免疫抑制治疗的患者全身转化风险明显降低(HR=0.24;95%CI:0.15~0.37;P<0.001)。敏感性分析发现,免疫抑制持续时间越长,转化风险越低(HR=0.88;95%CI:0.85~0.91;P<0.001)。分层分析显示,不同亚组中患者接受免疫抑制治疗均可降低转化风险。结论早期接受免疫抑制治疗可以显著降低OMG患者向全身型转化的风险。
