This paper highlights the use of situated artificial institution(SAI) within a hybrid, interactive,normative multi-agent system to regulate human collaboration in crisis management. Norms regulate the actions of human actors based on the dynamics of the environment in which they are situated. This dynamics results from both environment evolution and actors' actions. Our objective is to situate norms in the environment in order to provide a context-aware crisis regulation. However, this coupling must be a loose one to keep both levels independent and easyto-change in order to face the complex and changing crisis situations. To that aim, we introduce a constitutive level between environmental and normative states providing a loose coupling of normative regulation with environment evolution. Norms are thus no more referring to environmental facts but to status functions, i.e., the institutional interpretation of environmental facts through constitutive rules. We present how this declarative and distinct SAI modelling succeeds in managing the crisis with a context-aware crisis regulation.

AIM: To compare the effectiveness of postoperative adjunctive use of subconjunctival bevacizumab in altering the outcome of primary trabeculectomy in terms of sustained lowering of intraocular pressure(IOP) and reduction of postoperative bleb vascularization and ***: A prospective, one center, randomized, placebo-control study. Fifty-nine patients(59 eyes) with uncontrolled IOP under maximal tolerated medical treatment(MTMT) were recruited. A primary trabeculectomy with mitomycin C(MMC) was done and the patients were randomized to either postoperative subconjunctival injection of bevacizumab(1.25 mg/0.05 mL) or balanced salt solution(BSS). Forty-seven patients(47 eyes) completed at least one year of follow up and were included in the study. The main outcome measure was the IOP, and secondary outcome measures include bleb morphology, vascularization, and fibrosis, as well as the need for glaucoma medications and 5-fluorouracil(5-FU) ***: At 1-year follow up, there was no significant difference between groups for IOP(P=0.65), bleb morphology(P=0.65), and the need for glaucoma medications(P=0.65) or 5-FU needling requirements(P=0.11). However, the bevacizumab group had a higher rate of success results, lower use of glaucoma medications after surgery, and optimal bleb aspect in more patients, but more 5-FU needling procedures required. CONCLUSION: A bigger sample size is needed in order to determine whether the differences found in the bevacizumab group are statistically significant.

National Land Cover Database(NLCD)2019 is a new epoch of national land cover products for the conterminous United *** quality is fundamental to the quality of any land cover *** preprocessing has often taken a considerable proportion of overall time and effort for this kind of national *** approach to prepare image inputs for NLCD 2019 production was developed to ensure efficiency and quality of operational ***,we introduce a new and comprehensive strategy to produce clear Landsat composite images for NLCD 2019 ***,we developed a new median-value compositing ***,we designed parameter settings for selecting images and pixels to generate 4 composite images(leaf-on,leaf-off,primary reference,and complementary reference)for a target year based on the US Landsat Analysis Ready Data surface reflectance ***,we developed a method,referred to as Detection and Filling with Simulated Image,to detect and replace clouds and cloud shadow pixels to produce the final clean leaf-on and leaf-off image *** image compositing and processing strategy was implemented for the entire conterminous United States to produce images for NLCD *** image results and NLCD 2019 change detection and land cover products,which were released in July 2021,showed this new strategy to be effective and efficient.

Four novel Schiff bases were synthesized by the condensation reaction of 2-hydroxyl-3-nitrobenzaldehyde with either benzothiazoles or benzimidazolamines. The compounds 1–4 were characterized by spectroscopic and analytical methods. The crystal structures of 6-methoxy-1,3-benzothiazol-2-amine and compound 2 are reported only. The 6-methoxy-1,3-benzothiazol-2-amine was found to crystallize in the orthorhombic crystal system in the space group Pbca, having eight molecules in the unit cell, while compound 2 was found to crystallize in the monoclinic crystal system in the space group P2_1/c. The biological activities of these compounds were investigated by evaluating their antibacterial, antifungal, antimalarial, anti-HIV and anti-trypanosomiasis activities. These compounds displayed very interesting antibacterial, antifungal, antimalarial, anti-trypanosomiasis, anti-HIV and low cytotoxicity activity against HeLa cells.

Collagen structure in biological tissues imparts its intrinsic physical properties by the formation of several covalent *** the first time,two major crosslinks in the skin dihydroxylysinonorleucine(HLNL)and histidinohydroxymerodesmosine(HHMD),were isotopically labelled and then analysed by liquid-chromatography high-resolution accurate-mass mass spectrometry(LC-HRMS)and small-angle neutron scattering(SANS).The isotopic labelling followed by LC-HRMS confirmed the presence of one imino group in both HLNL and HHMD,making them more susceptible to degrade at low *** structural changes in collagen due to extreme changes in the pH and chrome tanning were highlighted by the SANS contrast variation between isotopic labelled and unlabelled *** provided a better understanding of the interaction of natural crosslinks with the chromium sulphate in collagen suggesting that the development of a benign crosslinking method can help retain the intrinsic physical properties of the *** analytical method can also be applied to study artificial crosslinking in other collagenous tissues for biomedical applications.

Global Transcriptional Profile of Tranosema rostrale Ichnovirus Genes in Infected Lepidopteran Hosts and Wasp Ovaries

The ichnovirus TrIV, transmitted by the endoparasitic wasp Tranosema rostrale to its lepidopteran host during oviposition, replicates asymptomatically in wasp ovaries and causes physiological dysfunctions in parasitized caterpillars. The need to identify ichnoviral genes responsible for disturbances induced in lepidopteran hosts has provided the impetus for the sequencing and annotation of ichnovirus genomes, including that of TrIV. In the latter, 86 putative genes were identified, including 35 that could be assigned to recognized ichnoviral gene families. With the aim of assessing the relative importance of each TrIV gene, as inferred from its level of expression, and evaluating the accuracy of the gene predictions made during genome annotation, the present study builds on an earlier qPCR quantification of transcript abundance of TrIV rep ORFs, in both lepidopteran and wasp hosts, extending it to other gene families as well as to a sample of unassigned ORFs. We show that the majority (91%) of putative ORFs assigned to known gene families are expressed in infected larvae, while this proportion is lower (67%) for a sample taken among the remaining ORFs. Selected members of the TrV and rep gene families are shown to be transcribed in infected larvae at much higher levels than genes from any other TrIV gene family, pointing to their likely involvement in host subjugation. In wasp ovaries, the transcriptional profile is dominated by a rep gene and a member of a newly described gene family encoding secreted proteins displaying a novel cysteine motif, which we identified among previously unassigned ORFs.
