Trigonelline exerts its neuroprotective effects in experimental spinal cord injury through modulation of inflammation, apoptosis, and neurotrophic factors

Objective:To assess the protective effects of trigonelline against spinal cord injury(SCI)in ***:Rats(Sprague-Dawley,male)were randomly assigned to seven groups(n=15 per group):normal,sham,SCI control(1%DMSO),methylprednisolone(30 mg/kg),and trigonelline(50,100,and 200 mg/kg).Rats received respective treatment daily for 28 *** was induced by using a temporary aneurysm ***,biochemical,and histological analyses were performed to investigate the neuroprotective effect of ***:Trigonelline(100 and 200 mg/kg)treatment effectively(P<0.05)mitigated SCI-induced changes in mechano-tactile sensation,allodynia,hyperalgesia,and motor nerve conduction *** notably(P<0.05)downregulated apoptotic(Bax and caspase-3)and inflammatory(COX-Ⅱ)markers,while upregulating Bcl-2 and BDNF mRNA expression in the spinal cord(P<0.05).Furthermore,trigonelline effectively alleviated(P<0.05)SCI-induced alterations in mitochondrial complex levels,resulting in enhanced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide dehydrogenase,succinate dehydrogenase,redox activity,and cytochrome-C *** examination of spinal cord tissue indicated that trigonelline significantly(P<0.05)ameliorated the histological damage caused by SCI,thereby improving neuronal degeneration,inflammatory cell infiltration,and ***:Trigonelline shows neuroprotective properties in SCI rats by reducing allodynia,hyperalgesia,and inflammation,stabilizing mitochondrial enzyme complexes,and modulating apoptotic and neurotrophic ***,trigonelline holds promise as a potential neuroprotective agent.

Electron correlation often gives birth to various orders in quantum ***,a strongly correlated kagome antiferromagnet Fe Ge is discovered to undergo a charge density wave transition inside the A-type antiferromagnetic state,providing an opportunity to explore the interplay between charge order and ***,we reported the observation of anisotropic resistivity and Hall effect,along with a topological Hall effect,in the annealed Fe Ge *** the current flows along the abplane,the temperature dependence ofρ_(ab)exhibits a distinct resistivity loop related to a first-order transition at T_(cdw).The applied magnetic fields do not alter T_(cdw)but can induce a spin-flop transition at H_(sf).Consequently,a field-induced large topological Hall effect is observed in the canting antiferromagnetic(CAFM)state below T_(cant),which is possibly attributed to the non-trivial spin texture during the spin-flop ***,as current is parallel to c-axis,both the field-induced transitions inρ_(c)andχ_(c)***,the Hall resistivity in the annealed Fe Ge significantly exhibits a deviation from the linear *** findings provide valuable insight into revealing the interplay among magnetism,charge order and topology in the kagome magnets.

Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation(AMOC)plays a central role in long-term climate variations through its heat and freshwater transports,which can collapse under a rapid increase of greenhouse gas forcing in climate *** studies have suggested that the deviation of model parameters is one of the major factors in inducing inaccurate AMOC *** this work,with a low-resolution earth system model,the authors try to explore whether a reasonable adjustment of the key model parameter can help to re-establish the AMOC after its *** a new optimization strategy,the extra freshwater flux(FWF)parameter is determined to be the dominant one affecting the AMOC’s *** traditional ensemble optimal interpolation(EnOI)data assimilation and new machine learning methods are adopted to optimize the FWF parameter in an abrupt 4×CO_(2) forcing experiment to improve the adaptability of model parameters and accelerate the recovery of *** results show that,under an abrupt 4×CO_(2) forcing in millennial simulations,the AMOC will first collapse and then re-establish by the default FWF parameter ***,during the parameter adjustment process,the saltier and colder sea water over the North Atlantic region are the dominant factors in usefully improving the adaptability of the FWF parameter and accelerating the recovery of AMOC,according to their physical relationship with FWF on the interdecadal timescale.

Diverse wrinkling patterns can occur on curved bilayer systems under differential growth or *** such systems,stress anisotropy is frequently encountered,and the coupling effect of curvature and stress anisotropy on the pattern evolution remains largely *** this study,we investigate the evolution of wrinkling patterns on a cylinder core-shell system with stress anisotropy leveraging both theoretical analysis and finite element *** buckling analysis has identified three distinct critical buckling modes regulated by the stress anisotropy,i.e.,axial sinusoidal mode,checkerboard mode,and circumferential sinusoidal *** finite element simulations,along with post-buckling analysis,reveal seven distinct evolutionary paths stemming from the three critical buckling *** present phase diagrams for both the critical buckling modes and their evolutionary paths,which are determined by dimensionless curvature and stress *** results not only expand the theoretical research on surface wrinkling of a core-shell soft cylinder but also introduce stress anisotropy as a significant parameter for regulating the wrinkling patterns and their evolutionary paths in curved bilayer *** revelation of a multitude of wrinkling patterns and their evolutionary pathways holds great potential for advancing applications that leverage tunable wrinkle surfaces.

Airborne microplastics(MPs)are important pollutants that have been present in the environment for many years and are characterized by their universality,persistence,and potential *** study investigated the effects of terrestrial and marine transport of MPs in the atmosphere of a coastal city and compared the difference between daytime and *** direct infrared imaging(LDIR)and polarized light microscopy were used to characterize the physical and chemical properties of MPs,including number concentration,chemical types,shape,and *** trajectories were used to distinguish the air masses from marine and terrestrial *** chemical types were detected by LDIR,with rubber(16.7%)and phenol-formaldehyde resin(PFR;14.8%)being major *** main morphological types of MPs were identified,and fragments(78.1%)are the dominant *** in the atmosphere were concentrated in the small particle size segment(20-50μm).The concentration of MPs in the air mass from marine transport was 14.7 items/m^(3)-lower than that from terrestrial transport(32.0 items/m^(3)).The number concentration of airborne MPs was negatively correlated with relative *** from terrestrial transport were mainly rubber(20.2%),while those from marine transport were mainly PFR(18%).MPs in the marine transport air mass were more aged and had a lower number concentration than those in the terrestrial transport air *** number concentration of airborne MPs is higher during the day than at *** findings could contribute to the development of targeted control measures and methods to reduce MP pollution.

Seismic-induced liquefaction of sandy soils can fail foundations in the vicinity of *** investigate the effect of a non-free field subsurface seismic history on the ability of saturated sandy soils to resist liquefaction,four shaking events with different accelerations were input to the sandy soils in the *** results of the study revealed that:(1)Shallow soils that are not free-field undergo acceleration amplification effects after being subjected to seismic loading.(2)Building overburden pressure reduces the sensitivity of the shallow soils directly below in small and moderate earthquakes,which are more prone to rearranging and forming unstable structures under strong seismic *** excess pore pressure response on the load side resembles that of a free site,with the depth range of the liquefaction strength of soils affected by the seismic history,increasing progressively as input seismic intensity increases.(3)After experiencing earthquakes of different intensities,the excess pore pressure directly below the building overburden pressure at 0.1 m and 0.2 m is greater than that at the *** the same time,the side of the building structure is more prone to liquefaction than the soil directly below it.

Hydroformylation could convert olefins and syngas （mixture of H2and CO） into aldehydes with a great atomic *** transformation serves as one of the most prominent processes in modern chemical industry, as it provides over 10million tons of aldehydes as feedstock for our daily essential products such as plasticizers, paints, solvents, and pharmaceuticals. This process generally requires efficient yet robust catalyst to realize decent efficacy. Compared with metals such as Co, Ru, and Pd, rhodium （Rh）-based catalysts stand out due to its superior activity even under mild reaction conditions, and dominate over 70%of global hydroformylation processes.

This study presents an innovative approach to calculating the failure probability of slopes by incorporating fuzzylimit-state functions,a method that significantly enhances the accuracy and efficiency of slope stability *** traditional probabilistic techniques,this approach utilizes a least squares support vector machine(LSSVM)optimized with a grey wolf optimizer(GWO)and K-fold cross-validation(CV)to approximate the limit-statefunction,thus reducing computational *** novelty of this work lies in its application to one-dimensional(1D),two-dimensional(2D),and three-dimensional(3D)slope models,demonstrating its versatility andhigh *** proposed method consistently achieves error margins within 3%of Monte Carlo simulation(MCS)results,while substantially reducing computation time,particularly for 2D and 3D *** makes theapproach highly practical for real-world engineering ***,by applying fuzzy mathematics tohandle uncertainties in geotechnical properties,the method offers a more realistic and comprehensive understandingof slope *** water is the main factor influencing the stability of slopes,this aspect is investigatedby calculating the phreatic line after the change in water *** examples are used to show that the failureprobability of a slope under water wading condition can increase by more than 20%(increase rates in 1D,2D and3D conditions being 25%,27%and 31%,respectively)compared with the natural *** influence ofdiverse fuzzy membership functions—linear,normal,and Cauchy—on failure probability is also *** not only provides a strategy for better calculation of the slope failure probability but also pioneers theintegration of computational intelligence,fuzzy logic and fluid-dynamics in geotechnical engineering,presentingan innovative and efficient tool for slope stability analysis.

Multivariate time series forecasting iswidely used in traffic planning,weather forecasting,and energy *** decomposition algorithms can help models better understand the underlying patterns of the original series to improve the forecasting accuracy of multivariate time ***,the decomposition kernel of previous decomposition-based models is fixed,and these models have not considered the differences in frequency fluctuations between *** problems make it difficult to analyze the intricate temporal variations of real-world time *** this paper,we propose a series decomposition-based Mamba model,DecMamba,to obtain the intricate temporal dependencies and the dependencies among different variables of multivariate time series.A variable-level adaptive kernel combination search module is designed to interact with information on different trends and periods between *** backbone structures are proposed to emphasize the differences in frequency fluctuations of seasonal and trend *** with superior performance is used instead of a Transformer in backbone structures to capture the dependencies among different variables.A new embedding block is designed to capture the temporal features better,especially for the high-frequency seasonal component whose semantic information is difficult to acquire.A gating mechanism is introduced to the decoder in the seasonal backbone to improve the prediction accuracy.A comparison with ten state-of-the-art models on seven real-world datasets demonstrates that DecMamba can better model the temporal dependencies and the dependencies among different variables,guaranteeing better prediction performance for multivariate time series.
