Opportunistic admission and resource allocation for slicing enhanced IoT networks

Network slicing is envisioned as one of the key techniques to meet the extremely diversified service requirements of the Internet of Things(IoT)as it provides an enhanced user experience and elastic resource *** the context of slicing enhanced IoT networks,both the Service Provider(SP)and Infrastructure Provider(InP)face challenges of ensuring efficient slice construction and high profit in dynamic *** challenges arise from randomly generated and departed slice requests from end-users,uncertain resource availability,and multidimensional resource *** and resource allocation for distinct demands of slice requests are the key issues in addressing these challenges and should be handled effectively in dynamic *** this end,we propose an Opportunistic Admission and Resource allocation(OAR)policy to deal with the issues of random slicing requests,uncertain resource availability,and heterogeneous *** key idea of OAR is to allow the SP to decide whether to accept slice requests immediately or defer them according to the load and price of *** cope with the random slice requests and uncertain resource availability,we formulated this issue as a Markov Decision Process(MDP)to obtain the optimal admission policy,with the aim of maximizing the system ***,the buyer-seller game theory approach was adopted to realize the optimal resource allocation,while motivating each SP and InP to maximize their *** numerical results show that the proposed OAR policy can make reasonable decisions effectively and steadily,and outperforms the baseline schemes in terms of the system reward.

Photocatalytic reduction of CO_(2)has attracted considerable interest owing to its potential to resolve the energy and environmental ***,the lack of proficient photocatalysts has restricted the application of solar-driven photocatalytic CO_(2)***,we reported an S-scheme heterojunction by combining g-C_(3)N_(4)with La^(3+)and Rh^(3+)co-doped SrTiO_(3)through the electrostatic self-assembly method for the efficient photocatalytic CO_(2)*** comparison with g-C_(3)N_(4),the asprepared CN/LRSTO-30 wt%S-scheme heterojunction not only possesses a broadened visible-light response due to the defect states in La,Rh co-doped SrTiO_(3)induced by codoped La^(3+)and Rh^(3+)but also has more adsorption sites for the capture and activation of CO_(2)***,separation and transfer efficiency of the photoinduced charge carriers is much enhanced in the CN/LRSTO-30wt%S-scheme heterojunction via its robust internal electric field,which is firmly demonstrated by in situ irradiation X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy ***,the prepared S-scheme heterojunction achieves impressive photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction performance with an average CO and CH4 evolution rate of4.1-1.8μmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1),respectively,which are~1.9 and~22.5-fold higher than those of pure g-C_(3)N_(4).This study provides innovative perspectives on the design of creative S-scheme heterojunctions for applications in photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction.

There are a lot of researches on qualitative aseismatic measures for buried gas pipeline crossing movable *** a few of them are quantitative,especially in the size and shape of the *** paper first established the finite element model of the strain of buried pipeline crossing a fault which effected by the size and shape of the *** it obtained new soil spring stiffness which considered different buried depth,bottom width of trench,trench slope and elastic modulus of *** mechanical analysis model of pipeline is established,and the limit state equation of pipeline is *** reliability and sensitivity of the natural gas pipeline under fault action are analysed by a Monte Carlo method,and the error and accuracy are *** the pipeline is under tension,the sensitivity from large to small is buried depth,sand friction angle,pipe diameter,pipeline displacement,trench bottom width,trench depth,clay cohesion,trench slope and clay friction angle;when the pipeline is under pressure,the trench depth and clay cohesion have great *** findings of this study provide a reference for pipeline design and safety evaluation under fault action.

Multicomponent crystalline materials construct more complex and diversified structures with different combinations and modes,which expands the material structure space and application *** this work,we have successfully synthesized two twocomponent ionic hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks （iHOF-32 and iHOF-33） and a three-component iHOF （iHOF-34）.Guanidine hydrochloride which is rich in N and H and has a short chain length strengthens the hydrogen bonding network of iHOF,thereby aiding in the efficient migration of *** rigid architecture of 1,1'-diamino-4,4'-bipyridine diiodide furnishes additional scaffolding for the iHOFs and enhances its robustness under harsh ***-34 accomplishes the combination of the ultra-high proton conductivity of iHOF-32 and the robustness of iHOF-33 by the synergistic interaction among the three components of *** addition,iHOF-34 was fabricated as a composite membrane with a peak proton conductivity of 1.55×10-1S cm-1,which is 3.8 times higher than that of recast Nafion,and has extensive potential in fuel *** self-assembly strategy of multicomponent HOFs opens up new avenues for constructing diverse structures while promising new opportunities for applications in the fields of proton conduction and energy storage.

Role of the globus pallidus in motor and non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease

The globus pallidus plays a pivotal role in the basal ganglia circuit. Parkinson's disease is characterized by degeneration of dopamine-producing cells in the substantia nigra, which leads to dopamine deficiency in the brain that subsequently manifests as various motor and non-motor symptoms. This review aims to summarize the involvement of the globus pallidus in both motor and non-motor manifestations of Parkinson's disease. The firing activities of parvalbumin neurons in the medial globus pallidus, including both the firing rate and pattern, exhibit strong correlations with the bradykinesia and rigidity associated with Parkinson's disease. Increased beta oscillations, which are highly correlated with bradykinesia and rigidity, are regulated by the lateral globus pallidus. Furthermore,bradykinesia and rigidity are strongly linked to the loss of dopaminergic projections within the cortical-basal ganglia-thalamocortical loop. Resting tremors are attributed to the transmission of pathological signals from the basal ganglia through the motor cortex to the cerebellum-ventral intermediate nucleus circuit. The cortico–striato–pallidal loop is responsible for mediating pallidi-associated sleep disorders. Medication and deep brain stimulation are the primary therapeutic strategies addressing the globus pallidus in Parkinson's disease. Medication is the primary treatment for motor symptoms in the early stages of Parkinson's disease, while deep brain stimulation has been clinically proven to be effective in alleviating symptoms in patients with advanced Parkinson's disease,particularly for the movement disorders caused by levodopa. Deep brain stimulation targeting the globus pallidus internus can improve motor function in patients with tremordominant and non-tremor-dominant Parkinson's disease, while deep brain stimulation targeting the globus pallidus externus can alter the temporal pattern of neural activity throughout the basal ganglia–thalamus network. Rosiglitazone enhances 5-fluorouracil-induced cell growth inhibition in hepatocellular carcinoma cell line Hep3B

Background and Objective: Rosiglitazone is a peroxisome proliferators-activated receptor γ (PPARγ) ligand, which inhibits tumor growth by activating PPARγ signaling pathways. Fluorouracil (5-FU) is one of the commonly used chemotherapeutic drugs. However, patients develop drug resistance of 5-FU over time. The aim of this study was to investigate whether rosiglitazone can enhance 5-FU-induced cell growth inhibition and to explore its potential ***: Cell viability was measured using MTT assay. Protein expression levels were detected by Western blot analysis. Small interference RNA was utilized to knockout PPARγ and PTEN in Hep3B cells. Results: After 48 h of treatment with 10, 20, and 40 μmol/L rosiglitazone, the viability of Hep3B cells was (78.0 ± 2.7)%, (37.3 ± 8.1)%, and (19.8 ± 2.2)%, respectively (compared with control group, P values were all bination with either 10, 20 or 40 μmol/L rosiglitazone, the cell viability was (51.6 ± 5.4)%, (14.8 ± 4.2)%, and (8.5 ± 0.9)%, with corresponding q value of 1.36, 1.23, and 1.19, respectively. These data suggested that the two drugs had synergic effect in inhibiting Hep3B cell growth, which was further confirmed in an in vivo mice model. Subsequent investigations showed that rosiglitazone activated PPARγ signaling pathways and increased the expression of PTEN. Conclusions: Rosiglitazone enhances 5-FU-induced cell growth inhibition of Hep3B cells.

A new 2D Eu-BTB framework(1) with stratified gridding structure of about 14.6×16.9was synthesized and *** 1 displays excellent water stability with the pH 2–12. The luminescent investigations suggest that 1 could represent a chemical sensor of PO43. with high sensitivity and selectivity. Importantly, 1 as a sensor of PO_4^(3-) can be reused at least five *** the other hand, the catalytic investigations of 1 were carried out, indicating that 1 could be demonstrated as a recyclable catalyst for CO_2 conversion with epoxides.
