Th1 cells inducing IFNγ response improves immunotherapy efficacy in gastric cancer

Objective: Cancer immunotherapy has made remarkable advances in recent years, but its effectiveness in treating gastric cancer is often limited by the complexity of the tumor microenvironment and the lack of effective biomarkers. This study aimed to identify effective biomarkers for immunotherapy treatment by characterizing the tumor microenvironment.Methods: We retrieved the RNA-seq data from gastric cancer patients treated with the programmed death 1(PD-1) blockade pembrolizumab. Differentially expressed genes associated with clinical outcomes were identified and further analyzed using gene ontology(GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG) pathway analysis. Gene signature scores were calculated by single sample Gene Set Enrichment Analysis(ssGSEA). The infiltration levels of immune cells were quantified using the xCell website. Cell type enrichment analysis was performed to compare treatment response and non-response groups, and regression analysis was used to investigate the relationship between interferon gamma(IFNγ) immune response and immune cell infiltration. Biomarkers were identified using least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO) analysis.Results: Compared to normal tissues, cytokine activity and interleukin-6 production were highly activated in gastric tumors. Responders to pembrolizumab showed significantly up-regulated expression of IFNγ responserelated genes. Cell type enrichment analysis revealed that Th1 cells were significantly enriched in the tumor microenvironment of responders. Regression analysis indicated that Th1 cells induced IFNγ response more efficiently than other cell types. Using signatures of Th1 cells, stromal cells and IFNγ response, a set of eight genes were identified that effectively predicted the efficacy of immunotherapy treatment and patient prognosis.Conclusions: Th1 cells promote therapeutic efficacy of PD-1 blockade by promoting IFNγ immune response in gastric cancer. A policy iteration method for improving robot assembly trajectory efficiency

Bolt assembly by robots is a vital and difficult task for replacing astronauts in extravehicular activities(EVA),but the trajectory efficiency still needs to be improved during the wrench insertion into hex hole of bolt.In this paper,a policy iteration method based on reinforcement learning(RL)is proposed,by which the problem of trajectory efficiency improvement is constructed as an issue of RL-based objective optimization.Firstly,the projection relation between raw data and state-action space is established,and then a policy iteration initialization method is designed based on the projection to provide the initialization policy for iteration.Policy iteration based on the protective policy is applied to continuously evaluating and optimizing the action-value function of all state-action pairs till the convergence is obtained.To verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method,a noncontact demonstration experiment with human supervision is performed.Experimental results show that the initialization policy and the generated policy can be obtained by the policy iteration method in a limited number of demonstrations.A comparison between the experiments with two different assembly tolerances shows that the convergent generated policy possesses higher trajectory efficiency than the conservative one.In addition,this method can ensure safety during the training process and improve utilization efficiency of demonstration data.

Joining SiO_(2)based ceramics:recent progress and perspectives

Nowadays,SiO_(2)based material is one of the widest used materials in optical,microelectromechanical system,aerospace and some other industries.In practical application,SiO_(2)based materials are required to be joined with themselves or other heterogeneous materials to assemble products with various functions.And the joining quality directly affects the mechanical performances and functional properties of assembled products.Though many researchers studied different joining technologies,explored the microstructure of joining interface and tested after-joining properties,a review that summarizes the recent cutting-edge researches and development tendency of joining technologies for SiO_(2)based ceramics is still absent.Therefore,according to different applications and requirements,this review summarizes the widely used joining technologies and discusses corresponding joining mechanisms,current research progress and suitable applications.Due to the wide applications in specific industry,laser welding,anodic bonding and wafer bonding are discussed in detail.Further,brazing,the widest used method in SiO_(2)joining,has been elaborated deeply in its wetting mechanism,residual stress control,interfacial microstructure and mechanical performance aspects.In the end,this review proposed the future development trends of SiO_(2)ceramics joining,aiming at offering a full-view of potential improvements in SiO_(2)ceramic joining technologies.

S-wave velocity inversion and prediction using a deep hybrid neural network

The S-wave velocity is a critical petrophysical parameter in reservoir description,prestack seismic inversion,and geomechanical analysis.However,obtaining the S-wave velocity from field measurements is difficult.When no measured Swave data are available,petrophysical modelling provides the most accurate S-wave velocity prediction.However,because of the complexity of underground geological structures and diversity of rock minerals,the prediction results of petrophysical modelling are easily affected by factors such as the cognition and experience of the modeller.Therefore,the development of novel robust and simple S-wave velocity inversion and prediction methods independent of the modeller is critical.Inspired by ensemble learning and based on the geologic sedimentation law of reservoirs and their characteristics in logging response,an Swave velocity inversion and prediction method based on deep hybrid neural network was developed by combining the classical convolution neural network(CNN)with the long short-term memory(LSTM)network.Considering the conventional logging data such as acoustic and density as the input in the proposed method,the CNN was used to establish the nonlinear mapping relationship between the input data and S-wave velocity,and the LSTM network was used to integrate the vertical variation trend of the stratum.Thus,intelligent data-driven inversion and prediction of the S-wave velocity were realised.The experimental results revealed that the proposed method exhibited a strong generalisation ability and could obtain prediction results comparable to those of petrophysical modelling with a single-well data set for training.Thus,a novel methodology for robust and convenient S-wave velocity prediction was devised.The proposed method has considerable academic and application implications.

Sandwich structure for enhancing the interface reaction of hexanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane and nanoporous carbon scaffolds film to improve the thermal decomposition performance

Improving the thermal decomposition performance of hexanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane(CL-20)by appropriate methods is helpful to promote the combustion performance of CL-20-based solid propellants.In this study,we synthesized a sandwich structure of CL-20 and nanoporous carbon scaffolds film(NCS)and emphatically studied the thermal decomposition performance of the composite structure.Thermogravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry were used to measure the thermal decomposition process of the composite structure.The kinetic parameters of thermal decomposition were calculated by the thermal dynamic analysis software AKTS.These results showed that the thermal decomposition performance of the sandwich structure of CL-20 and NCS was better than CL-20.Among the tested samples,NCS with a pore size of 15 nm had the best catalytic activity for the thermal decomposition of CL-20.Moreover,the thermal decomposition curve of the composite structure at the heating rate of 1 K/min was deconvoluted by mathematical method to study the thermal decomposition process.And a possible catalytic mechanism was proposed.The excellent thermal decomposition performance is due to the sandwich structure enhances the interface reaction of CL-20 and NCS.This work may promote the extensive use of CL-20 in the field of solid rocket propellant.

Adsorption limitation investigation on olefins for Cu–BTC

To utilize Cu-benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylate(Cu-BTC)adsorbed lubricant oils in the self-lubricating field,the adsorption properties of Cu-BTC on different 1-olefins must be clarified.In this work,1-hexene,1-octene,1-nonene,1-decene,1-undecene,and 1-dodecene were studied by the Monte Carlo method and experimentally.The adsorption limit of Cu-BTC for n-olefins was determined as 1-undecene by the adsorption isotherms.This suggested a limit for even straight-chain molecules to the adsorption of Cu-BTC.The maximum ratio of the olefin length of the largest pore diameter(L/D)of Cu-BTC was approximately 1.57.Furthermore,theoretical calculations(radial distribution function(RDF))and experiments(infrared(IR)spectra)confirmed the interaction of n-olefin adsorbates and the Cu-BTC framework occurred between the-CH=of olefins and the Cu and O atoms of the Cu-BTC framework.This work adds to the understanding and investigation of the adsorption of liquid lubricants using Cu-BTC as a metal-organic framework(MOF).

Graphene-wrapped multiloculated nickel ferrite:A highly efficient electromagnetic attenuation material for microwave absorbing and green shielding

Dedicating to the exploration of efficient electromagnetic(EM)absorption and electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding materials is the main strategy to solve the EM radiation issues.The development of multifunction EM attenuation materials that are compatible together EM absorption and EMI shielding properties is deserved our exploration and study.Here,the graphenewrapped multiloculated NiFe_(2)O_(4) composites are reported as multifunction EM absorbing and EMI shielding materials.The conductive networks configurated by the overlapping flexible graphene promote the riched polarization genes,as well as electron transmission paths,and thus optimize the dielectric constant of the composites.Meanwhile,the introduction of magnetic NiFe_(2)O_(4) further establishes the magnetic-dielectric synergy effect.The abundant non-homogeneous interfaces not only generate effective interfacial polarization,also the deliberate multiloculated structure of NiFe_(2)O_(4) strengthens multi-scattering and multi-reflection sites to expand the transmission path of EM waves.As it turns out,the best impedance matching is matched at a lower filled concentration to achieve the strongest reflection loss value of−48.1 dB.Simultaneously,green EMI shielding based on a predominantly EM absorption and dissipation is achieved by an enlargement of the filled concentration,which is helpful to reduce the secondary EM wave reflection pollution to the environment.In addition,the electrocatalytic properties are further examined.The graphene-wrapped multiloculated NiFe_(2)O_(4) shows the well electrocatalytic activity as electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER),which is mainly attributed to the interconnected structures formed by graphene and NiFe_(2)O_(4) connection.The structural advantages of multiloculated NiFe_(2)O_(4) expose more active sites,which plays an important role in optimizing catalytic reactions.This work provides an excellent jumping-off point for the development of multifunction EM absorbin

A Novel Plane-Based Control Bus Design with Distributed Registers in 3D NAND Flash Memories

This work presents a novel plane-based area-saving control bus design with distributed registers in 3D NAND flash memory. 99.47% control signal routing wires are reduced compared to the conventional control circuit design. Independent multi-plane read is compatible with the existing read operations thanks to the register addresses are reasonably assigned. Furthermore,power-saving register group address-based plane gating scheme is proposed which saves about 2.9 m W bus toggling power. A four-plane control bus design with 20Kbits registers has been demonstrated in field programmable gate array tester. The results show that the planebased control bus design is beneficial to high-performance3D NAND flash memory design.

Dual-surfactant templated hydrothermal synthesis of CoSe_(2) hierarchical microclews for dielectric microwave absorption

Cobalt diselenide(CoSe_(2))hierarchical clew-like structure is synthesized via a dual-surfactant templated hydrothermal process,and for the first time,its microwave absorption capability has been established.Specifically,the as-synthesized hierarchical interconnected structure is assembled by numerous dense nanobelts.Meticulous tuning of the synthetic conditions which could influence the hierarchical architecture indicates that,in this system,cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB)plays a dominate role of“balling”while protonated diethylenetriamine(DETA)plays the role of“stringing”.As a novel absorbent,the microwave absorption performance of CoSe_(2)microstructure is evaluated in 2–18 GHz band.Particularly,3D hierarchical CoSe_(2)microclews exhibit superior minimum reflection loss of−26.93 dB at 7.28 GHz and effective absorption bandwidth of 3.72 GHz,which are∼120%and∼104%higher than those of simple CoSe_(2)nanosheets,respectively.Such drastic enhancement could be attributed to the large specific surface area,and more dissipation channels and scattering sites enabled by the unique clew-like microstructure.The versatile dual-surfactant templated assembly of hierarchical CoSe_(2)microstructure,along with its appreciable dielectric microwave absorption performance,provides new inspirations in developing novel microwave absorbents for mitigation of electromagnetic pollution.
