High-nitrogen and low-irradiance can restrict energy utilization in photosynthesis of successional tree species in low subtropical forest

Responses of photosynthesis and the partition of energy utilization to high-nitrogen importation and high-light intensity in leaves of three dominant tree species of subtropical forest,including sun plant or early-successional species Schima superba,mesophyte or intermediate-successional species Canstanopsis hystrix,and shading-tolerant plant or late-successional species Cryptocarya concinna were studied by using the CO2.exchange system and chlorophyll fluorescence *** results showed that,regardless of plant species,net photosynthetic rate(Pn)was higher in high-nitrogen supply and high irradiance(HNHL)plants than in low-nitrogen supply and high irradiance(LNHL)plants,implying that low-nitrogen importation would limit Pn of plants grown under high ***, high-nitrogen supply and low irradiance(HNLL)plants had a lower *** change of quantum yield(Fv′/Fm′)in opened PS II was found in leaves of HNHL,LNHL or HNLL plants of *** and C. hystrix,while a higher Fv′/Fm′occurred in HNHL plants of *** in comparison with LNHL or HNLL *** HNHL plants of *** also had a higher photochemical quantum yield(△F/Fm′) than LNHL or HNLL plants,however no similar responses were found in plants of *** and C. hystrix(P2.00μmol photon·m -2.s -1,the fraction of energy consumed by photochemistry(φ PSII )was 18.2.in LNHL plants of *** which was higher than that in HNHL plants(P>0.05)and it was significantly higher than in HNLL plants(P<0.05).*** also had a similar response inφ PSII to nitrogen supply and *** of species HNLL plants had a significantφ PSII and higher heat dissipation in light,and this effect was more severe in *** than in *** or *** results may mean that high-nitrogen importation by nitrogen deposit and low irradiance caused by changing climate or air pollution would more severely restrict photosynthetic processes in the late-succ

The available methods for studying C uptake of forest and their problems in practices are reviewed, and a new approach to combining sap flow and 13C techniques is proposed in this paper. This approach, obtained through strict mathematic derivation, combines sap flow measure-ment-based canopy stomatal conductance and 13C discrimi-nation to estimate instantaneous carbon assimilation rate of a forest. Namely the mean canopy stomatal conductance (gc) acquired from accurate measurement of sap flux density is integrated with the relationship between 13C discrimination (?) and Ci/Ca (intercellular/ambient CO2.concentrations) and with that between Anet (net photosynthetic rate) and gCO2.(stomatal conductance for CO2. so that a new relation be-tween forest C uptake and ? as well as gc is established. It is a new method of such kind for studying the C exchange be-tween forest and atmosphere based on experimental ecology.

Aims Nighttime sap flow of trees may indicate transpiration and/or recharge of stem water storage at *** paper deals with the water use of Acacia mangium at night in the hilly lands of subtropical south *** primary goal was to reveal and understand the nature of nighttime sap flow and its functional *** Granier’s thermal dissipation method was used to determine the nighttime sap flux of *** exchange system was used to estimate nighttime leaf transpiration and stomatal conductance of studied *** Findings Nighttimesap flowwas substantial and showed seasonal variation similar to the patterns of daytime sap flowin *** nighttime sap flow was higher in the less precipitation year of 2.04(112..4 mm)than in the more precipitation year of 2.05(1342.5 mm)since more daytime transpiration and low soil water availability in the relatively dry 2.04 can be the cause of more nighttime sap *** vapor pressure deficit and air temperature were significantly correlated with nighttime sap flow,they could only explain a small fraction of the variance in nighttime sap *** total accumulated water loss(E_(L))by transpiration of canopy leaves was only;2.6–8.5%of the total nighttime sap flow(E_(t))during the nights of July 17–18 and 18–19,***,it is likely that the nighttime sap flow was mainly used for refillingwater in the *** stem diameter at breast height,basal area and sapwood area explained much more variance of nighttime water recharge than environmental factors and other tree form features,such as tree height,stem length below the branch,and canopy *** contribution of nighttime water recharge to the total transpiration ranged from 14.7 to 30.3%depending on different DBH class and was considerably higher in the dry season compared to the wet season.

With the digestive endoscopic tunnel technique(DETT), many diseases that previously would have been treated by surgery are now endoscopically curable by establishing a submucosal tunnel between the mucosa and muscularis propria(MP). Through the tunnel, endoscopic diagnosis or treatment is performed for lesions in the mucosa, in the MP, and even outside the gastrointestinal(GI) *** present, the tunnel technique application range covers the following:(1)Treatment of lesions originating from the mucosal layer, e.g., endoscopic submucosal tunnel dissection for oesophageal large or circular early-stage cancer or precancerosis;(2. treatment of lesions from the MP layer, per-oral endoscopic myotomy, submucosal tunnelling endoscopic resection, etc.; and(3) diagnosis and treatment of lesions outside the GI tract, such as resection of lymph nodes and benign tumour excision in the mediastinum or abdominal cavity. With the increasing number of DETTs performed worldwide, endoscopic tunnel therapeutics, which is based on DETT, has been gradually developed and optimized. However, there is not yet an expert consensus on DETT to regulate its indications, contraindications, surgical procedure, and postoperative *** International DETT Alliance signed up this consensus to standardize the procedures of DETT. In this consensus, we describe the definition, mechanism,and significance of DETT, prevention of infection and concepts of DETTassociated complications, methods to establish a submucosal tunnel, and application of DETT for lesions in the mucosa, in the MP and outside the GI tract(indications and contraindications, procedures, pre-and postoperative treatments, effectiveness, complications and treatments, and a comparison between DETT and other operations).

At present,natural orifice specimen extraction surgery(NOSES)has attracted more and more attention worldwide,because of its great advantages including minimal cutaneous trauma and post-operative pain,fast post-operative recovery,short hospital stay,and positive psychological ***,NOSES for the treatment of gastric cancer(GC)is still in its infancy,and there is great potential to improve its theoretical system and clinical ***,several key points including oncological outcomes,bacteriological concerns,indication selection,and standardized surgical procedures are raised with this innovative ***,it is necessary to achieve an international consensus to regulate the implementation of GC-NOSES,which is of great significance for healthy and orderly development of NOSES worldwide.

原发性免疫性血小板减少症(ITP)中少见但至关重要的危重出血事件,给患者的预后、生活质量和治疗决策带来严重影响。尽管有一些研究探讨了ITP中与危重出血相关的风险因素,但目前尚缺乏大样本数据、大规模多中心研究结果以及针对ITP患者致命出血事件的预测模型。本研究首次采用国际血栓与止血学会新提出的ITP致命出血标准,利用大样本数据开发了首个基于机器学习的在线应用,用于预测ITP患者的致命出血.研究中,我们使用中国各地大型多中心数据进行开发,并对全国39家医疗中心进行为期一年的外部测试,得到了较好的训练、验证和测试数据集预测能力该基于新算法的便捷网络工具能够快速识别ITP患者的出血风险,辅助临床决策,有望未来降低不良事件的发生。
