In this paper,the authors consider how to design defensive countermeasures against DoS attacks for remote state estimation of multiprocess *** each system,a sensor will measure its state and transmits the data packets through an unreliable channel which is vulnerable to be jammed by an *** limited communication bandwidth,only a subset of sensors are allowed for data transmission,and how to select the optimal one to maximize the accuracy of remote state estimation is the focus of the proposed *** authors first formulate this problem as a Markov decision process and investigate the existence of optimal ***,the authors demonstrate the piecewise monotonicity structure of optimal *** the difficulty of obtaining an optimal policy of large-scale problems,the authors develop a suboptimal heuristic policy based on the aforementioned policy structure and Whittle’s ***,a closed form of the indices is derived in order to reduce implementation complexity of proposed scheduling policy and numerical examples are provided to illustrate the proposed developed results.

In this editorial we comment on an article published in a recent issue of the World J Gastrointest Surg.A common gene mutation in gastric cancer(GC)is the TP53 *** a tumor suppressor gene,TP53 is implicated in more than half of all tumor ***53 gene mutations in GC tissue may be related with clinical pathological *** TP53 mutation arose late in the progression of GC and aided in the final switch to ***1 encodes E-cadherin,which is involved in cell-to-cell adhesion,epithelial structure maintenance,cell polarity,differentiation,and intracellular signaling pathway ***1 mutations and functional loss can result in diffuse GC,and CDH1 mutations can serve as independent prognostic indicators for poor *** patients can benefit from genetic counseling and testing for CDH1 *** therapy may assist to postpone the onset and progression of *** investigation of TP53 and CDH1 gene mutations in GC allows for the investigation of the relationship between these two gene mutations,as well as providing some basis for evaluating the prognosis of GC patients.

High-voltage battery systems bring significant increases in energy density but are also accompanied by fast degradation of electrochemical performance and serious safety ***,Li^(+)coordination structure regulation was conducted to formulate a non-flammable electrolyte,which consists of 1.5 M lithium bis(fluor sulfonyl)imide(LiFSI)in triethyl phosphate and methyl 2,2,2-trifluoromethyl carbonate(FEMC).The renamed TEP-FEMC-FEC(TFF)electrolyte exhibits an FSI−-dominated solvation structure contributed by the weakly-solvating ability of *** generated inorganic-rich interfacial layers are conducive to stabilizing the phase transition of high-voltage cathodes while suppressing the dendritic growth on lithium metal or co-intercalation behavior in graphite *** TFF electrolyte enables LiCoO_(2)||Li batteries to achieve capacity maintenance over 79%after 400 cycles with high-rate of 5 C at an ultra-high voltage of 4.6 V,and an outstanding capacity exceeding 100 mA h g^(−1)even at a super-high current density of 20 ***,the Ah-level LiCoO_(2)||graphite pouch cells also exhibit high capacity retention and satisfactory safety performance even under fast *** work provides a novel research direction for the pursuit of high energy density non-flammable electrolytes.

AIM:To evaluate the clinical significance of CpG island methylator phenotype(CIMP) in plasma and its asso-ciation with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) ***:CIMP status of 108 HCC patients wasanalyzed using a methylation marker panel in tumortissues and plasma with methylation-specific poly-merase chain reaction. Fifteen samples of non-neo-plastic liver tissues and 60 of plasma from healthy persons were examined simultaneously. Examinedgenes included APC,WIF-1,RUNX-3,DLC-1,SFRP-1,DKK and E-cad .RESULTS:The frequencies of high-level methylation in HCC tissue and plasma were at least 15% forthe seven genes:APC,48/108,44.44% in tissue and26/108,24.07% in plasma;WIF-1,53/108,49.07% intissue and 35/108,32.41% in plasma;RUNX-3,52/108,48.14% in tissue and 42/108,38.89% in plasma;DLC-1,38/108,35.18% in tissue and 23/108,21.30%in plasma;SFRP-1,40/108,37.04% in tissue and31/108,28.7% in plasma;DKK,39/108,36.1% in tis-sue and 25/108,23.14% in plasma;and E-cad,37/108,34.3% in tissue and 18/108,16.67% in plasma. CIMP+(≥ 3 methylated genes) was detected in 68(60.2%) tumor tissue samples and 62(57.4%) plasma *** was not detected in non-neoplastic liver tissuesor plasma of healthy persons. CIMP status in tumortissues differed significantly in gender,hepatitis Bsurface antigen,alpha-fetoprotein,and tumor-node-metastasis stage(P < 0.05) . Similar results were obtained with plasma samples(P < 0.05) . There was nodifference in CIMP status in age,presence of hepatitis C virus antibody,cirrhosis,number of nodes,numberof tumors,tumor size,or Edmondson-Steiner stage. Aone-year follow-up found that the metastatic rate and recurrence rate in the CIMP+ group were significantly higher than in the CIMP- group as assessed with plasma samples(P < 0.05) .CONCLUSION:Plasma DNA can be a reliable samplesource for CIMP analysis. CIMP in plasma may serve asa molecular marker of late-stage and poor-prognosis HCC.

The performance of nanoparticles is often affected by particle size and ***,electron microscopy or atomic force microscopy is typically utilized to determine the size and morphology of ***,there are issues such as difficult sample preparation,long processing times,and challenges in quantitative ***,it is of great significance to develop a fast,accu-rate,and statistical method to measure the size and morphology of *** this study,a new method,called polarized imaging dynamic light scattering(PIDLS),is *** nanoparticles are irradiated with a vertical linearly polarized laser beam,and a polarization camera collected the dynamic light scattering images of particles at four different polarization directions(0°,45°,90°,and 135°)at a scattering angle of 90°.The average particle size and distribution are obtained using the imaging dy-namic light scattering method at 0°polarization direction,and the morphology of the particles is ob-tained based on the depolarization patterns of the scattered *** optical sphericityΦis defined based on the degree of linear polarization(DoLP).It is also implemented for the quantitative evaluation of the sphericity of the nanoparticles,including spherical,octahedral,nanoplate,nanorod,and linear *** with the Poincarésphere parameterψ,the morphology of the nanoparticles can be roughly *** addition,PIDLS enables the measurement of particle size and morphology distributions simultaneously for evaluating the uniformity of *** effectiveness of PIDLS is verified by the measurement of five kinds of industrial titanium dioxide as well.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Chinese herbal medicines(CHMs)combined with chemical drugs for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease(AD).Materials and Methods:Databases were searched to retrieve randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of CHMs combined with tacrine,galantamine,rivastigmine,donepezil,or memantine,following strict inclusion and exclusion *** research papers published in English,Chinese,and Japanese were *** primary outcome was the mini-mental state examination(MMSE)score and the secondary outcomes were AD assessment scale cognitive subscale(ADAS-Cog)score and safety ***-analysis was carried out using Rev Man 5.3 and subgroup analysis was conducted to identify the sources of ***:A total of 15 RCTs with 1386 participants were included in this *** donepezil was used in the retrieved ***-analyses showed that the combination of CHMs with donepezil led to significant improvement in the MMSE score(Z=9.45;P<0.00001;weighted mean difference[WMD]=2.68,95%confidence interval[CI]:2.12-3.24)and a significant decrease in the ADAS-Cog score(Z=5.53;P<0.00001;WMD=-3.79;95%CI:-5.13--2.44).Safety evaluation demonstrated that these combination treatments relieved adverse events such as insomnia(risk ratio[RR]=0.20,95%CI:0.06-0.68;P=0.01)and hive(RR=0.10;95%CI:0.01-0.73;P=0.02).Conclusions:The combination of CHMs with a chemical drug like donepezil led to significant improvements in patient cognition as well as a better safety profile when compared to the application of a chemical drug alone.

BACKGROUND The recurrence rate of liver cancer after surgery is *** ablation(RFA)combined with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE)is an effective treatment for liver cancer;however,its efficacy in recurrent liver cancer remains *** To investigate the clinical effect of TACE combined with RFA in the treatment of recurrent liver *** Ninety patients with recurrent liver cancer were divided into 2 groups according to treatment plan:Control(RFA alone);and experimental[TACE combined with RFA(TACE+RFA)].The incidence of increased alanine aminotransferase levels,complications,and other indices were compared between the two groups before and after the *** One month after the procedures,the short-term efficacy rate and Karnofsky Performance Status scores of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P0.05).CONCLUSION TACE+RFA was effective for the treatment of recurrent liver cancer and significantly reduced AFP levels and improved various indices of liver function.

Assessing the conservation impact of Chinese indigenous chicken populations between ex-situ and in-situ using genome-wide SNPs

Conservation programs require rigorous evaluation to ensure the preservation of genetic diversity and viability of conservation populations. In this study, we conducted a comparative analysis of two indigenous Chinese chicken breeds, Gushi and Xichuan black-bone, using whole-genome SNPs to understand their genetic diversity, track changes over time and population structure. The breeds were divided into five conservation populations(GS1, 2010, ex-situ;GS2, 2019, ex-situ;GS3, 2019, in-situ;XB1, 2010, in-situ;and XB2, 2019, in-situ) based on conservation methods and generations. The genetic diversity indices of three conservation populations of Gushi chicken showed consistent trends, with the GS3 population under in-situ strategy having the highest diversity and GS2 under ex-situ strategy having the lowest. The degree of inbreeding of GS2 was higher than that of GS1 and GS3. Conserved populations of Xichuan black-bone chicken showed no obvious changes in genetic diversity between XB1 and XB2. In terms of population structure, the GS3 population were stratified relative to GS1 and GS2. According to the conservation priority, GS3 had the highest contribution to the total gene and allelic diversity in GS breed, whereas the contribution of XB1 and XB2 were similar. We also observed that the genetic diversity of GS2 was lower than GS3, which were from the same generation but under different conservation programs(in-situ and ex-situ). While XB1 and XB2 had similar levels of genetic diversity. Overall, our findings suggested that the conservation programs performed in ex-situ could slow down the occurrence of inbreeding events, but could not entirely prevent the loss of genetic diversity when the conserved population size was small, while in-situ conservation populations with large population size could maintain a relative high level of genetic diversity.

The reactive oxygen species(ROS) generation efficiency is always limited by the extreme tumor microenvironment(TME), leading to unsatisfactory antitumor effects in photodynamic therapy(PDT). As a promising gas therapy molecule, nitric oxide(NO) is independent of oxygen and could even synergize ROS to enhance the therapeutic effect. However, the short half-life, instability, and uncontrollable release of exogenous NO limited the application of tumor synergistic therapy. Herein, we reported a novel kind of red-emissive carbon dots(CDs) that was capable of lysosome-targeted and light-controlled NO delivery. The CDs were synthesized by using metformin and methylene blue(MB) via a hydrothermal *** obtained metformin-MB CDs(MMCDs) exhibited a higher1O2quantum yield and NO generation efficiency under light emitting diode(LED) light irradiation. Noteworthily, the1O2could further in situ oxidize NO into peroxynitrite anions(ONOO-), which own the higher cytotoxicity against cancer *** experiments indicate that MMCDs could destruct lysosome membrane integrity and kill almost 80%of Hep G2 cells under light irradiation while very low cytotoxicity in the dark. Moreover, MMCDs significantly decreased tumor volume and weight after phototherapy in hepatoma Hep G2-bearing mice. Our study provides a new strategy for light-controlled NO generation as well as precise lysosome-targeting for enhancement of PDT efficiency.
