Grain-boundary(GB)precipitation has a significant adverse effect on plasticity of alloys,which easily leads to catastrophic intergranular failure in safety-critical applications under high external ***,we report a novel strategy that uses the local stress concentration induced by GB precipitates as a driving force to trigger phase transformation of preset non-equiatomic high-entropy solid-solution phase at *** in situ deformation-induced phase transformation at GBs introduces a well-known effect:transformation-induced plasticity(TRIP),which enables an exceptional elongation to fracture(above 38%)at a high strength(above 1.5 GPa)in a GB precipitation-hardened high-entropy alloy(HEA).The present strategy in terms of"local stress concentration-induced phase transformations at GBs"may provide a fundamental approach by taking advantage of(rather than avoiding)the GB precipitation to gain a superior combination of high strength and high ductility in HEAs.

Background: The protective role of (poly)phenols against metabolic disorders has been extensively studied in adults but not in ***: To assess associations of dietary (poly)phenols and their subclasses with cardiometabolic health parameters in adolescents. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in 944 individuals aged 11 to 14 years enrolled in the SI! Program for Secondary Schools trial (ncT03504059). (Poly)phenol intake was assessed using semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaires and the Phenol-Explorer database. The measured cardiometabolic parameters were waist circumference (Wc) age-sex z-score， blood pressure (BP) age-sex z-score， blood glucose (BG)， triglycerides (TG)， and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-c). Multilevel mixed-effect linear regression models were applied to examine the association between (poly)phenol quintiles and cardiometabolic health ***: compared to the lowest quintile， adolescents in the highest quintile of total (poly)phenol intake had lower Wc z-scores (β=-0.09， 95%cI=-0.09;-0.08， P-for trend=0.002)， mean arterial pressure z-scores (β =-0.11， 95%cI=-0.12;-0.09， P-for trend=0.206)， and HDL-c (β=-1.52， 95%cI=-2.90;-0.14， P-for trend=0.108)， after multivariable adjustment. The Wc z-scores (β=-0.11， 95%cI=-0.19;-0.03， P-for trend=0.013) and HDL-c (β=-2.16， 95%cI=-3.78;-0.53， P-for trend=0.046) were lower in the highest quintile of flavonoid intake compared to the lowest quintile. AIM：To compare visual,surgical and topographic outcomes of deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty（DALK）and penetrating keratoplasty（PK）for keratoconus（Kc）.METHODS：In this multicenter,prospective,randomized clinical trial 76 eyes of 71 Kc patients operated between January 2011 and July 2014 in 2 tertiary referral hospitals were included. consecutive patients were alternately selected to receive one of the two surgical methods. Thirty eight eyes underwent DALK with the big-bubble technique and 38 eyes underwent ***：Mean best spectacle corrected visual acuity（BScVA）at the first postoperative week（P=0.012）and the first postoperative month（P〈0.001）was statistically significantly higher in DALK group. The mean BScVA at12 mo was not significantly different for DALK（0.30±1.99 log MAR）versus PK（0.40±0.33 log MAR）（P=0.104）. The76.3% of the eyes had a BScVA over 0.5 in DALK and 47.4%in PK group（P=0.009）. The 7.9% of the eyes had a BScVA of 1.0 in DALK and 5.3% in PK group（P=0.644）. Mean spherical equivalent was-2.94 D in DALK and-3.09 D in PK *** topographic astigmatism was 4.62 D and 4.18 D respectively. Regular topographic patterns were observed in 31（81.6%）of DALK and 29（76.3%）of PK（P=0.574）. The most frequent topographic pattern was oblate asymmetric bow tie,seen in 39.5% in DALK and 23.7% in PK. cOncLUSIOn：Big bubble DALK provides an earlier visual improvement compare to PK. However,visual and topographic outcomes are similar to those in PK at 1y. Postoperative complications including rejection and intraocular pressure elevation are more frequent in PK. DALK is a safer alternative to PK for Kc. However,intraoperativeperforation of the Descemet＇s membrane is a significant complication.

In order to clarify the cause of pressure loss increase in supercritical water gasification（ScWG） equipment, the pressure loss through a heat exchanger for the ScWG tubular reactor was measured and compared for chicken manure gasification and that of ethanol, which included no inorganic compounds. The reactor was operated at 600 oc, 25 MPa, and suspended activated carbon catalyst was applied. Reactor plugging was observed after pressure loss increase for the case of chicken manure. In the case of ethanol, although some pressure increase was observed, stable operation was achieved. The effect of the suspended activated carbon catalyst on the pressure loss was negligible. This fact indicates that inorganic compounds in the feedstock cause plugging. The result presented here indicates the importance of the proper treatment of inorganic materials in the feedstock for the continuous operation of ScWG.

Recently, there has been a rapid development in computer technology, which has in turn led to develop the fully robotic welding system using artificial intelligence （AI） technology. However, the robotic welding system has not been achieved due to difficulties of the mathematical model and sensor technologies. The possibilities of the fuzzy regression method to predict the bead geometry, such as bead width, bead height, bead penetration and bead area in the robotic GMA （gas metal arc） welding process is presented. The approach, a well-known method to deal with the problems with a high degree of fuzziness, is used to build the relationship between four process variables and the four quality characteristics, respectively. Using these models, the proper prediction of the process variables for obtaining the optimal bead geometry can be determined.

With the advancement of implantable hearing devices, more options will be available for the microtia patients. Otologists play a leading role in the whole management process. They not only provide proper guidance to the patients in choosing the correct path of the treatment, but also play a key role in organising and maintaining a cost-effective multidisciplinary rehabilitation team for the microtia patients.

Amorphization of Mn carbides by rapid quenching method has been proved to be *** mechanical milling in the present work, amorphous phases have been formed in the perovskitetype Mn3Alc compound. The transformation process from crystalline to amorphous phase was found to be milling time controlled, and 10 h is a critical period for the macroscopically single amorphous phase to form. It has been clarified that the redistribution of c atoms is an instinctive factor for amorphous phase to nucleate, and the atomic configuration in the amorphous phase is changed much in longer milling that different crystallizing behaviours have been caused. With X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry (DSc) results, an atomic configuration transition model is considered for the structures of the amorphous phases changed during milling.
