Prevalence and risk factors associated with long cOVID symptoms in children and adolescents in a southern province of Vietnam

Objective:To investigate the prevalence and risk factors associated with long cOVID symptoms among children and adolescents who have recovered from ***:This study applied a cross-sectional approach within community settings in a southern province of Vietnam.A structured questionnaire featuring socio-demographic information and common long cOVID symptoms was *** correlation coefficients assessed associations among pairs of long cOVID ***,multivariable logistic regression models were performed to investigate the risk factors of long cOVID in recovered cOVID-19 children and ***:Among 422 participants,39.3%reported long cOVID symptoms,with a prevalence of 45.2%(SD=0.5)in children and 22.2%(SD=0.4)in *** symptoms reported were cough 34.6%(SD=0.5),fatigue 20.6%(SD=0.4),shortness of breath 10.9%(SD=0.3),and lack of appetite 6.6%(SD=0.3).concerning risk factors of long cOVID,a higher risk was observed among demographic groups,including girls(OR 1.25,95%cI 1.15-1.37;Pce:boys),children compared to adolescents(OR 1.24,95%cI 1.12-1.37;PcI 1.02-1.27;P=0.018,reference:healthy weight),and participants without any cOVID-19 vaccination(OR 1.36,95%cI 1.20-1.54;Pceived only one single dose(OR 1.35,95%cI 1.10-1.64;P=0.004)compared to those who have received two ***,patients with a cOVID-19 treatment duration exceeding two weeks also had a higher risk of long cOVID(OR 1.32,95%cI 1.09-1.60;P=0.003)than those who recovered less than seven ***:The insights from this study provide crucial guidance for predicting the factors associated with the occurrence of long cOVID in pediatric patients,contributing to strategic interventions aimed at mitigating the long cOVID risks among children and adolescents in Vietnam.

User profiles representing users’preferences and interests play an important role in many applications of personalized *** the rapid growth of social platforms,there is a critical need for efficient solutions to learn user profiles from the information they shared on social platforms so as to improve the quality of recommendation *** problem of user profile learning is significantly challenging due to difficulty in handling data from multiple sources,in different formats and often associated with *** this paper,we introduce an integrated approach that combines advanced Machine Learning techniques with evidential reasoning based on Dempster-Shafer theory of evidence for user profiling and *** developed methods for user profile learning and multi-criteria collaborative filtering are demonstrated with experimental results and analysis that show the effectiveness and practicality of the integrated approach.A proposal for extending multi-criteria recommendation systems by incorporating user profiles learned from different sources of data into the recommendation process so as to provide better recommendation capabilities is also highlighted.

Nowadays,Multi Robotic System(MRS)consisting of different robot shapes,sizes and capabilities has received significant attention from researchers and are being deployed in a variety of real-world *** sensors and actuators improved by communication technologies to powerful computing systems utilizing advanced Artificial Intelligence(AI)algorithms have rapidly driven the development of MRS,so the Internet of Things(IoT)in MRS has become a new topic,namely the Internet of Robotic Things(IoRT).This paper summarizes a comprehensive survey of state-of-the-art technologies for mobile robots,including general architecture,benefits,challenges,practical applications,and future research *** addition,remarkable research of i)multirobot navigation,ii)network architecture,routing protocols and communications,and iii)coordination among robots as well as data analysis via external computing(cloud,fog,edge,edge-cloud)are merged with the IoRT architecture according to their ***,security is a long-term challenge for IoRT because of various attack vectors,security flaws,and *** threats,attacks,and existing solutions based on IoRT architectures are also under ***,the identification of environmental situations that are crucial for all types of IoRT applications,such as the detection of objects,human,and obstacles,is also critically ***,future research directions are given by analyzing the challenges of IoRT in mobile robots.

The recent surge of mobile subscribers and user data traffic has accelerated the telecommunication sector towards the adoption of the fifth-generation (5G) mobile networks. cloud radio access network (cRAN) is a prominent framework in the 5G mobile network to meet the above requirements by deploying low-cost and intelligent multiple distributed antennas known as remote radio heads (RRHs). However, achieving the optimal resource allocation (RA) in cRAN using the traditional approach is still challenging due to the complex structure. In this paper, we introduce the convolutional neural network-based deep Q-network (cNN-DQN) to balance the energy consumption and guarantee the user quality of service (QoS) demand in downlink cRAN. We first formulate the Markov decision process (MDP) for energy efficiency (EE) and build up a 3-layer cNN to capture the environment feature as an input state space. We then use DQN to turn on/off the RRHs dynamically based on the user QoS demand and energy consumption in the cRAN. Finally, we solve the RA problem based on the user constraint and transmit power to guarantee the user QoS demand and maximize the EE with a minimum number of active RRHs. In the end, we conduct the simulation to compare our proposed scheme with nature DQN and the traditional approach.

Associating liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy (ALPPS)—pushing the envelope in modulation of future liver remnant before major hepatectomy

Insufficient future liver remnant (FLR) is an important factor that precludes patient from upfront major liver resection as it predisposes to post-hepatectomy liver failure and mortality. As such, augmentation of FLR by portal vein embolization (PVE) was the conventional approach to improve the safety profile of major hepatectomy. In recent years, associating liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy (ALPPS) has been popularized as an alternative approach for FLR augmentation (1,2). However, the initial inception of the ALPPS procedure was met by criticism for its high incidence of procedure-related morbidity, such as bile leakage and sepsis (3). In light of this issue, an international registry was set up for collection of cases and experience around the world and soon after that, the first International Expert Meeting was held in Hamburg in 2015 that led to the publication of eight recommendations on terminology of the procedures, indications and techniques for ALPPS (4). Two years later, a pre-congress meeting was held during the EHPBA (European Hepatopancreatobiliary Association) 12th Annual congress in Mainz, Germany to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of ALPPS (5) since the first case was performed by Prof. Hans Schlitt a decade ago (1). During this meeting, ten different aspects on ALPPS were covered including surgical anatomy, underlying mechanisms, perioperative assessment of liver function, technical approach, indications and its effectiveness in comparison to two-stage hepatectomy.

This research evaluates the ability of six soybean local cultivars and a control cultivar(DT84) to tolerate severe *** this research,SL5 and SL6 have the most stress tolerance while DT84 and SL1 have the least stress *** have isolated P5cS gene as it relates to stress tolerance by using PcR with *** results show that the size of the P5cS gene of the studied cultivars is 2,148 bp,which encodes for 715 amino *** these proteins are compared with the P5cS proteins of the other species,the result shows that the isolated P5cS proteins have a higher identity than other bean *** are located on the same branch of the phylogenetic ***(Pro) is one of the most accumulated osmolytes in salinity and water deficit conditions in plants.P5cS is a key regulatory enzyme involved in prolin biosynthesis in plants and is subject to feedback inhibition by *** conserved aspartate residue at 126 and the phenylalanine at 129 are involved in the feedback inhibition by Pro binding.A gene encoding a feedback insensitive P5cS enzyme was obtained by mutating the P5cS *** mutation was due to a change of an aspartate at position 125 to alanine in the *** mutated gene was cloned in pBT vector and *** gene will be transfered to plants to increase the level of proline overproduction and to enhance the drought tolerance ability.

An enhanced framework for providing multimedia broadcast/multicast service over heterogeneous networks

Multimedia broadcast multicast service(MBMS)with inherently low requirement for network resources has been proposed as a candidate solution for using such resources in a more efficient *** the other hand,the Next Generation Mobile Network(NGMN)combines multiple radio access technologies(RATs)to optimize overall network *** performance is becoming a vital indicator of the quality experience of mobile user equipment(UE).In contrast to the conventional vertical handover issue,the problem we are facing is how to seamlessly transmit broadcast/multicast sessions among heterogeneous *** this paper,we propose a new network entity,media independent broadcast multicast service center(MIBM-Sc),to provide seamless handover for broadcast/multicast sessions over heterogeneous networks,by extensions and enhancements of MBMS and media independent information service(MIIS)***,a network selection scheme and a cell transmission mode selection scheme are proposed for selecting the best target network and best transmission *** schemes are based on a load-aware network capacity estimation *** results show that the proposed approach has the capability to provide MBMS over heterogeneous networks,with improved handover performance in terms of packet loss rate,throughput,handover delay,cell load,bandwidth usage,and the peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR).

Effects of parental age on offspring growth and survival in both wild and domesticated strains of bighead catfish(clarias macrocephalus Günther,1864)

Understanding the relationship between fish parental age and offspring performance over their life cycle is crucial for *** study investigates the effect of parental age for both 1-and 2-year-old fish on the growth and survival rates of their larval to grow-out stages for two wild and domesticated strains of bighead catfish(clarias macrocephalus).Fish were sampled from the Vietnamese Mekong Delta where wild adult fish were collected from a conservation area in ca mau Province and domesticated fish were taken from a hatchery in can *** offspring treatments of 1-and 2-year-old broodstock strains were reared for 3 successive periods:40 days for fingerling rearing in static tanks with water exchange,60 days for juveniles,and 90 days for grow-out in recirculating *** final weight of fish at 190 days varied from 96.7 to 144.7 *** growth of offspring was not affected by parental age(P>0.05),over the 3 rearing ***,the domesticated fish strain showed significantly better growth rates than the wild fish strain(Pconversion ratios were comparable across fish *** rates did not differ at the fingerling(21.8%-36.4%)and juvenile(69.0%-73.3%)***,significant differences were found at the grow-out stage(69.3%-84.0%),with offspring from 2-year-old parents of both strains having greater survival ***,1-and 2-year-old fish appear to be suitable for bighead catfish breeders.

In live donor liver transplantation, anatomical anomalies of the portal vein are more frequently encountered in right lobe than left lobe grafts. Of these, a dual portal vein is one of the most common anatomical anomalies encountered. We hereby report our method of using a recipient portal vein patch after venoplasty for reconstruction in a right lobe graft with separate anterior and posterior portal vein branches.

The first search for the doubly heavy Ωbc0baryon and a search for the Ξbc0baryon are performed using pp collision data collected via the LHcb experiment from 2016 to 2018 at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV,corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.2 *** baryons are reconstructed via their decays to ∧c+π-andΞc+π-.No significant excess is found for invariant masses between 6700 and 7300 MeV/c2,in a rapidity range from2.0 to 4.5 and a transverse momentum range from 2 to 20 MeV/*** limits are set on the ratio of the Ωbc0andΞbc0production cross-section times the branching fraction to ∧c+π-（Ξc+π-） relative to that of the ∧b0（Ξb0） baryon,for different lifetime hypotheses,at 95% confidence *** upper limits range from 0.5×10-4to 2.5×10-4for theΩbc0→∧c+π-(Ξbc0→∧c+π-) decay,and from 1.4×10-3to 6.9×10-3for the Ωbc0→Ξc+π-(Ξbc0→Ξc+π-) decay,depending on the considered mass and lifetime of the Ωbc0(Ξbc0) baryon.
