While Mek1/2 and Gsk3βinhibition("2i")supports the maintenance of murine embryonic stem cells(Escs)in a homogenous naive state,prolonged culture in 2i results in aneuploidy and dNA hypomethylation that impairs developmental ***,2i fails to support derivation and culture of fully potent female *** we find that mouse EScs cultured in 2i/LIF supplemented with lipid-rich albumin(AlbuMAx)undergo pluripotency transition yet maintain genomic stability and full potency over long-term ***,lipids in AlbuMAx impact intracellular metabolism including nucleotide biosynthesis,lipid biogenesis,and TcA cycle intermediates,with enhanced expression of dNMT3s that prevent dNA *** induce a formative-like pluripotent state through direct stimulation of Erk2 phosphorylation,which also alleviates X chromosome loss in female ***,both male and female"all-ESc"mice can be generated from de novo derived EScs using AlbuMAXbased *** findings underscore the importance of lipids to pluripotency and link nutrient cues to genome integrity in early development.

BAcKGROUNd Previous meta-analyses,with many limitations,have described the beneficial nature of minimal invasive *** To compare all modalities of esophagectomies to each other from the results of randomized controlled trials(RcTs)in a network meta-analysis(NMA).METHOdS We conducted a systematic search of the MEdLINE,EMBASE,Reference citation Analysis(https://***/)and cENTRAL databases to identify RcTs according to the following population,intervention,control,outcome(commonly known as PIcO):P:Patients with resectable esophageal cancer;I/c:Transthoracic,transhiatal,minimally invasive(thoracolaparoscopic),hybrid,and robot-assisted esophagectomy;O:Survival,total adverse events,adverse events in subgroups,length of hospital stay,and blood *** used the Bayesian approach and the random effects *** presented the geometry of the network,results with probabilistic statements,estimated intervention effects and their 95% confidence interval(cI),and the surface under the cumulative ranking curve to rank the *** We included 11 studies in our *** found a significant difference in postoperative pulmonary infection,which favored the minimally invasive intervention compared to transthoracic surgery(risk ratio 0.49;95%cI:0.23 to 0.99).The operation time was significantly shorter for the transhiatal approach compared to transthoracic surgery(mean difference-85 min;95%cI:-150 to-29),hybrid intervention(mean difference-98 min;95%cI:-190 to-9.4),minimally invasive technique(mean difference-130 min;95%cI:-210 to-50),and robot-assisted esophagectomy(mean difference-150 min;95%cI:-240 to-53).Other comparisons did not yield significant *** Based on our results,the implication of minimally invasive esophagectomy should be favored.

Introduction: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is the most common chronic inflammatory rheumatism. The increasing use of bone and joint ultrasound as a tool to aid in the detection of unrefined synovitis in developed countries, has led us to study the performance of ultrasound in the diagnosis of RA in subjects consulting in rheumatology at cotonou. Study Method: descriptive cross-sectional study of patients with RA, selected on the basis of AcR/ EULAR 2010 criteria. A complete clinical examination with imaging including X-rays and ultrasounds of the hands and feet were performed in all patients who have given their consent. The data collected was analyzed using EPI data 3.1 and SPSS 24.0 software. The significance rate was defined with a p-value cohen’s Kappa (k) test was used to assess agreement. Results: All 53 patients included had lesions on ultrasound. Synovitis was found in 98.1% and bone erosions in 88.7%. There was no agreement in the wrists between clinical examination and ultrasound (k = -0.116), McP (k = -0.097) and MTP (k = -0.031). Agreement was very low at the PPI level (k = 0.03). It was low at the different sites, between ultrasound and radiographic detection of lesions (k between 0.022 - 0.22). Age, positive immunologic RA factor and biological inflammatory syndrome were associated with ultrasound erosions (p = 0.0001) and only age was associated with active synovitis (p = 0.022). conclusion: Bone and articular ultrasound is a good complementary alternative to clinical examination and radiography diagnostic in early diagnosis of RA in our developing countries, in the absence of MRI which remains a luxury.

Introduction: Tendinopathy of the thoracic limb (TMT) is frequent, and is responsible for an important socio-professional handicap. Medical imaging, in particular, ultrasound has a major role in contributing to the diagnosis. As the use of ultrasound is recent in osteoarticular pathology, especially in Africa, we proposed to determine the contribution of imaging in the diagnosis of tendinopathy of the thoracic limbs in a country with limited resources. Patients and Method: A descriptive and analytical cross-sectional study of patients with tendinopathy of the thoracic limb who consulted the rheumatology department of the cNHU-HKM of cotonou from August 6, 2019 to October 6, 2019. We evaluated the concordance of thoracic limb tendinopathy between imaging (radiography and ultrasound) and the clinic on the one hand and then between radiography and ultrasound on the other hand. The analysis of the collected data was carried out with the Epi-info software version 7.***.1.0. Then the concordance was evaluated by the kappa coefficient. Results: Fifty- two (52) patients with 104 joints were evaluated. The average age was 54.92 ± 3.40 years. clinically, rotator cuff tendinopathy was the most frequent abarticular pathology (45.19%). The clinical-ultrasound agreement was strong (k = 0.7527) for the shoulders, very strong (k = 0.9360) for the elbows and moderate for the wrists (k = 0.6695). The clinical-radiographic agreement was weak (k = 0.2316) at the shoulder level and very weak (k = 0.2087) at the elbow level. The radio-ultrasound agreement was very low in the shoulders (k = 0.1522), elbows (k = 0.1859) and wrists (k = 0.0001). conclusion: The contribution of imaging in the diagnosis of TMT remains certain even in a country with limited resources like ours. Viticulture,like other fields of agriculture,is currently facing important challenges that will be addressed only through sustained,dedicated and coordinated *** the methods used in biology have evolved tremendously in recent years and now involve the routine production of large data sets of varied nature,in many domains of study,including grapevine research,there is a need to improve the findability,accessibility,interoperability and reusability(FAIR-ness)of these *** the heterogeneous nature of the data produced,the transnational nature of the scientific community and the experience gained elsewhere,we have formed an open working group,in the framework of the International Grapevine Genome Program(***),to construct a coordinated federation of information systems holding grapevine data distributed around the world,providing an integrated set of interfaces supporting advanced data modeling,rich semantic integration and the next generation of data mining *** achieve this goal,it will be critical to develop,implement and adopt appropriate standards for data annotation and *** development of this system,the GrapeIS,linking genotypes to phenotypes,and scientific research to agronomical and oeneological data,should provide new insights into grape biology,and allow the development of new varieties to meet the challenges of biotic and abiotic stress,environmental change,and consumer demand.

Objective This study was undertaken to determine the effect of advanc ed ultras ound equipment on the ability to visualize fetal cardiac structures in obese gra vid women. Study design Singleton pregnancies undergoing initial ultrasound exam ination between 14 weeks and 23 weeks 6 days were included. Patients were classi fied by body mass index (BMI) (nonobese d obese d visualization (SUV) of the fetal heart ( cardiac axis, cardiac position, 4-chamber, and outflow tracts views) was compar ed between patients examined by standard (HdI 3000) or advanced ultrasound equip ment (HdI 5000)-(ATL, Philips Medical Systems, Bothell, Wash). Results Over a 5 -year period, 7029 singleton gestations met inclusion criteria; 2498 (35.5%) w ere clinically obese. There was no difference in gestational age, rate of low am niotic fluid volume, anterior placenta, or vertex fetal presentation between the groups. When the advanced ultrasound equipment was used, SUV of the fetal heart was lower in the nonobese population (20.8%vs 16.4%; Pvid women (38.1%vs 35.5%; P=.27). However, obese patients who were e xamined by advanced ultrasound equipment after 18 weeks had less SUV of the outf low tracts (28.5%vs 23.1%, P=.04) but not of the 4-chamber view. conclusion d espite advanced ultrasound equipment,maternal obesity significantly limits visua lization of the fetal heart. However, the advanced ultrasound equipment may some what benefit obese gravid women examined after 18 weeksgestation.
