carbon dioxide photocatalytic reduction (cO2-PR) is an efficient method for controlling cO2emissions and generating cleaner energy while mitigating global warming. Tungsten oxides (WxOy) have attracted considerable attention for cO2-PR due to their excellent spectral absorbance. However, comprehensive reviews are lacking on the use of WxOyfor cO2-PR. Therefore, this review provides a detailed summary of t research progress made with WxOy-based catalysts in cO2-PR. It also explains the fundamental principles of cO2-PR and evaluates key performance indicators that affect the activity of WxOy-based photocatalysts,including yield, selectivity, stability, and apparent quantum yield. Additionally, this review explores opportunities for synthesizing high-performance WxOy-based photocatalysts and highlights their potential for the green preparation of c1/c2 products through cO2-PR. These innovative strategies aim to address the challenges and pressures associated with energy and environmental issues, particularly by enhancing artificial photosynthesis efficiency.

The nontrivial band topology of chern insulator can enrich the content of its Hofstadter butterfly spectra, which is closely related to recent experiments in twisted bilayer graphene and cold atom systems. We investigate the Hofstadter spectrum for various models of chern insulators under a rational flux φ0/q, here φ0=h/e and q being an integer. We find the number of splitting subbands is |q-c| with c denoting the chern number of parent band. Importantly, anomalous open-orbital subbands with chern numbers q-1 and-q-1 emerge unexpectedly, which are beyond the parameter window（-q/2, q/2） of the Diophantine equation studied by Thouless-Kohmoto-Nightingale-den Nijs [Phys. Rev. Lett. 49, 405（1982）]. The emergence of anomalous open orbits can be traced by analyzing the evolution of the Hofstadter spectrum, identifying as a new type of topological phase transition. These novel findings not only pinpoint the peculiar Hofstadter spectrum of chern insulator, but also provide routes to study exotic characteristics beyond the Landau level physics.

The evacuation of people under threat is an effective disaster prevention and mitigation measure in response to flash floods and geological hazards,and it is also an essential element of pre-disaster ***,the effect of the interactions between perception factors on residents'willingness to evacuate is an urgent problem to be ***,this paper introduces risk,stakeholder,and protective action perceptions from the protective action decision model as the main explanatory *** three core perceptions are subdivided into affective risk perception,cognitive risk perception,government perception,other-stakeholder perception,resourcerelated attributes,and hazard-related attributes.A questionnaire survey was conducted from June to July 2023 among residents of mountainous communities in nine villages in three towns in Sichuan Province,china.359 cross-sectional data were analyzed using structural equation modeling to explore the effects of six perception factors on evacuation *** results of the study showed that:(1)affective risk perception,government perception,other-stakeholder perception,and hazard-related attributes all directly and positively influence residents'intentions to evacuate;(2)cognitive risk perception is mediated by stakeholder and protective action perceptions,which indirectly and positively affect residents'intentions to *** on the hypothesized paths,strategies to improve residents'willingness to evacuate are discussed from the perspective of three core perceptions:strengthening disaster risk education,improving residents'cohesion,and building government *** results of this study can provide theoretical support and practical suggestions for emergency management departments to formulate emergency evacuation strategies,which can aid decision-makers in better understanding residents'intentions to evacuate,optimizing evacuation information dissemination pathways,and strengthening disaster risk man

High-Mountain Asia(HMA)is an important source of freshwater since it holds the largest reservoir of frozen water outside the polar *** feeds ten great rivers,ultimately supporting more than 2 billion ***,the threat of accelerated glacier melt,which is a consequence of unprecedented global warming since the early 1950s,threatens water resources in the surrounding *** predictions of the near-term temperature change and synergistic mass loss of glaciers are essential but challenging to implement because of the impacts of internal climate ***,based on large ensembles of state-of-the-art decadal climate prediction experiments,we provide evidence that the internally generated surface air temperature variations in HMA can be predicted multiple years in advance,and the model initialization has robust added value to the decadal prediction ***-time decadal forecasts suggest that the HMA will experience accelerated warming in 2025-2032,where the surface warming will increase by 0.98°c(0.67 to 1.33°c;5%to 95%range)relative to the reference period 1991-2020,which is equivalent to 1.75 times the observed warming during *** decadal predictability originates from extratropical Pacific decadal variability modes,which modulate the convective heating in the tropical Pacific and influence HMA via the eastward-propagating atmospheric Kelvin *** warming in the coming decade will likely increase the shrinkage of the glacier volume over the HMA by 1.4%.This change poses unprecedented challenges,including potential water scarcity,ecosystem disruption,and increased risk of natural disasters,to HMA and surrounding regions.

Tropical cyclone(Tc)intensity estimation is a fundamental aspect of Tc monitoring and *** learning models have recently been employed to estimate Tc intensity from satellite images and yield precise *** work proposes the ViT-Tc model based on the Vision Transformer(ViT)*** images of Tcs,including infrared(IR),water vapor(WV),and passive microwave(PMW),are used as inputs for intensity *** indicate that combining IR,WV,and PMW as inputs yields more accurate estimations than other channel *** ensemble mean technique is applied to enhance the model's estimations,reducing the root-mean-square error to 9.32 kt(knots,1 kt≈0.51 m s^(-1))and the mean absolute error to 6.49 kt,which outperforms traditional methods and is comparable to existing deep learning *** model assigns high attention weights to areas with high PMW,indicating that PMW magnitude is essential information for the model's *** model also allocates significance to the cloud-cover region,suggesting that the model utilizes the whole Tc cloud structure and Tc eye to determine Tc intensity.

The presence of SnZn-related defects in cu_(2)ZnSn(S,Se)_(4)(cZTSSe)absorber results in large irreversible energy loss and extra irreversible electron-hole non-radiative recombination,thus hindering the efficiency enhancement of cZTSSe *** the incorporation of Ag in cZTSSe can effectively suppress the SnZn-related defects and significantly improve the resulting cell performance,an excellent efficiency has not been achieved to date primarily owing to the poor electrical-conductivity and the low carrier density of the cZTSSe film induced by Ag ***,this study exquisitely devises an Ag/H co-doping strategy in cZTSSe absorber via Ag substitution programs followed by hydrogen-plasma treatment procedure to suppress SnZn defects for achieving efficient cZTSSe ***-depth investigation results demonstrate that the incorporation of H in Ag-based cZTSSe absorber is expected to improve the poor electrical-conductivity and the low carrier density caused by Ag ***,the c=O and O-H functional groups induced by hydrogen incorporation,serving as an electron donor,can interact with under-coordinated cations in cZTSSe material,effectively passivating the SnZn-related ***,the incorporation of an appropriate amount of Ag/H in cZTSSe mitigates carrier non-radiative recombination,prolongs minority carrier lifetime,and thus yields a champion efficiency of 14.74%,showing its promising application in kesterite-based cZTSSe devices.

The recycling of cO2through electrochemical processes offers a promising solution for alleviating the greenhouse effect;however,the activation of cO2and desorption of*cO in electrocatalytic cO2reduction（EcR） frequently encounter high energy barriers and competitive hydrogen evolution reactions（HERs）,which are urgent problems that need to be *** this study,a catalyst(P100-Fe-N/c) with homogeneous P-tuned FeN2binuclear sites（N2PFe-FePN2） was successfully synthesised,demonstrating satisfactory performance in the EcR to cO.P100-Fe-N/c attains a peak FEcOof 98.01% and a normalized TOF of664.7 h-1at-0.7 VRHE,surpassing the performance of the Fe binuclear catalyst without P and singleatoms *** the MEA cell,a FEcOexceeding 90% can still be *** functional theory analysis indicates that the asymmetric coordination configuration induced by the incorporation of P facilitates a reduction in the system's *** modulation of P results in the d-band centre of the catalyst being positioned closer to the Fermi level,which facilitates the interaction of the catalyst with cO2,allowing more electrons to be injected into the cO2molecule at the Fe binuclear sites and inhibiting the *** P-tuned FeN2binuclear sites effectively lower the*cO desorption barrier.

Solar farms have been rapidly expanding on the Qinghai-Tibetan ***,the effects of photovoltaic arrays on the contribution of microbial necromass carbon(MNc)to soil organic carbon(SOc),along with the underlying mechanisms,remain *** address this,we collected soil samples from the top 20 cm in under-panel,inter-panel and control plots at five solar farms constructed between 2012 and 2014 in the dry yarlung Tsangpo and Lhasa River valleys on the Qinghai-Tibetan *** determined SOc,fungal and bacterial necromass and relevant soil *** found that the concentration of MNc in the under-panel plots(3.93±0.79 mg g-1)was significantly higher compared to the control plots(2.28±0.79 mg g-1)across all five solar *** proportion of MNc to SOc in the under-panel plots(34.7±2.4%)was also significantly higher than that in the control plots(27.5±1.4%).Specifically,the contribution of fungal necromass to SOc in the under-panel plots(26.4±2.2%)was significantly larger than that in the control plots(19.7±1.6%),while the increase in the bacterial necromass proportion was *** least squares structural equation modeling(PLS-SEM)indicated a significant and positive effect of increased soil moisture in the under-panel plots on the proportion of fungal necromass to *** results highlight that beyond their economic benefits,solar farms in the arid regions on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau can enhance soil c sequestration by improving soil moisture and promoting microbial necromass accumulation.
