Poly(butylene adipate-terephthalate)(PBAT),as one of the most common and promising biodegradable plastics,has been widely used in agriculture,packaging,and other industries due to its strong biodegradability *** is well known that PBAT suffers a series of natural weathering,mechanical wear,hydrolysis,photochemical transformation,and other abiotic degradation processes before being ***,it is particularly important to understand the role of abiotic degradation in the life cycle of *** the abiotic degradation of PBAT has not been systematically summarized,this review aims to summarize the mechanisms and main factors of the three major abiotic degradation pathways(hydrolysis,photochemical transformation,and thermochemical degradation)of *** was found that all of them preferentially destroy the chemical bonds with higher energy(especially c-O and c=O)of PBAT,which eventually leads to the shortening of the polymer chain and then leads to reduction in molecular *** main factors affecting these abiotic degradations are closely related to the energy or PBAT *** findings provide important theoretical and practical guidance for identifying effective methods for PBAT waste management and proposing advanced schemes to regulate the degradation rate of PBAT.

Effects of salinity and betaine addition on anaerobic granular sludge properties and microbial community succession patterns in organic saline wastewater

In this study,the effects of different salinity gradients and addition of compatible solutes on anaerobic treated effluent water qualities,sludge characteristics and microbial communities were *** increase in salinity resulted in a decrease in particle size of the granular sludge,which was concentrated in the range of 0.5-1.0 *** content of EPS(extracellular polymeric substances)in the granular sludge gradually increased with increasing salinity and the addition of betaine(a typical compatible solute).Meanwhile,the microbial community structure was significantly affected by salinity,with high salinity reducing the diversity of *** higher salinity,Patescibacteria and Proteobacteria gradually became the dominant phylum,with relative abundance increasing to 13.53%and 12.16%at 20 g/L *** and its subordinate Desulfovibrio,which secrete EPS in large quantities,dominated significantly after betaine *** relative abundance reached 13.65%and 7.86%at phylum level and genus *** effect of these changes on the treated effluent was shown as the average chemical oxygen demand(cOD)removal rate decreased from 82.10%to 79.71%,78.01%,68.51%and 64.55%when the salinity gradually increased from 2 g/L to 6,10,16 and 20 g/*** the salinity of 20 g/L,average cOD removal increased to 71.65%by the addition of 2 mmol/L *** gradient elevated salinity and the exogenous addition of betaine played an important role in achieving stability of the anaerobic system in a highly saline environment,which provided a feasible strategy for anaerobic treatment of organic saline wastewater.

Reveal short range interactions between u/d quarks in the NN, D03, and D30 systems

The dynamic mechanism of short range interactions between u/d quarks remains an open and challenging problem. In order to reveal this quark dynamics, we perform a systematic analysis of N N, D03, and D30systems in the（extended） chiral SU（3） constituent quark models. By comparing results calculated with different models and different parameter sets, the effects of one gluon exchange and vector meson exchange terms are carefully examined. The results indicate that the vector meson exchange interactions dominate the short range interactions between u/d quarks, whereas the small residual one gluon exchange coupling strength is also allowed.

Metrological traceable calibration of organic carbon and elemental carbon based on laboratory-generated reference materials

carbonaceous aerosol,including organic carbon(Oc)and elemental carbon(Ec),has significant influence on human health,air quality and climate *** measurement of carbonaceous aerosol is essential to reduce the uncertainty of radiative forcing estimation and source *** accurate separation of Oc and Ec is controversial due to the charring of ***,the development of reference materials(RM)for the validation of Oc/Ec separation is an important basis for further *** RMs were mainly based on ambient air sampling,which could not provide traceability of Oc and Ec *** develop traceable RMs with known Oc/Ec contents,our study applied an improved aerosol generation and mixing technique,providing uniform deposition of particles on quartz *** generate Oc aerosol with similar pyrolytic property of ambient aerosol,both water soluble organic carbon(WSOc)and water insoluble organic carbon(WIOc)were used,and amorphous carbon was selected for Ec *** RMs were analyzed using different *** homogeneity within the filter was validated,reaching below 2%.The long-term stability of RMs has been validated with RSD ranged from 1.7%–3.2%.Good correlationwas observed between nominal concentration of RMswithmeasured concentration by two protocols,while the difference of Ec concentration was within 20%.The results indicated that the newly developed RMs were acceptable for the calibration of Oc and Ec,which could improve the accuracy of carbonaceous aerosol ***,the laboratory-generated Ec-RMs could be suitable for the calibration of equivalent Bc concentration by Aethalometers.

Radiation belt electron wisp inside South Atlantic Anomaly due to terrestrial VLF transmitter observed by MSS-1

The South Atlantic Anomaly represents a region within near-Earth space characterized by a significantly weaker geomagnetic field and a higher flux of energetic particles compared to other areas. It is a space weather hazards to Low-EarthOrbit satellites. There has been evidence that the Very Low Frequency(VLF) waves from the powerful ground VLF radio transmitter in Australia, known as NWc, have the capacity to scatter energetic electrons' pitch angle in the inner radiation *** scattering directs electrons into the drift loss cone, forms a “wisp”, characterized by its peak intensity outside the South Atlantic Anomaly(SAA), and a “rift” exhibiting minimal intensity within SAA. Our findings mark the initial observation of a“wisp” precipitation, an unusual occurrence with peak intensity detected inside the SAA, observed via the Macao Science Satellite-1. Enabled by the Medium-energy Electron Spectrometer onboard Macao Science Satellite-1, we were able to comprehensively measure the full pitch angle distribution at Low-Earth-Orbit. This allowed us to attribute the “wisp” within the anomaly to a specific pitch angle range just outside the drift loss cone, a measurement unattainable by previous satellites. This“wisp” occurrence aligns with previous model predictions, despite being overlooked. Moreover, we distinguished between the trapped and precipitating electron populations. Directly derived from the ratio of these populations, our analysis revealed that approximately 2%-5% of trapped electrons will be lost in this specific wisp due to the influence of the ground VLF *** results not only complement existing evidence of energetic electron pitch angle scattering facilitated by the ground VLF transmitter but also offer a quantitative estimation of its impact.

Protonic solid oxide electrolysis cells(P-SOEcs)are a promising technology for water electrolysis to produce green ***,there are still challenges related key materials and anode/electrolyte interface.P-SOEcs with Zr-rich electrolyte,called Zr-rich side P-SOEcs,possess high thermodynamically stability under high steam concentrations but the large reaction resistances and the current leakage,thus the inferior *** this study,an efficient functional interlayer Ba_(0.95)La_(0.05)Fe_(0.8)Zn_(0.2)O_(3-δ)(BLFZ)in-between the anode and the electrolyte is *** electrochemical performances of P-SOEcs are greatly enhanced because the BLFZ can greatly increase the interface contact,boost anode reaction kinetics,and increase proton injection into *** a result,the P-SOEc yields high current density of 0.83 A cm^(-2) at 600℃ in 1.3 Vamong all the reported Zr-rich side *** work not only offers an efficient functional interlayer for P-SOEcs but also holds the potential to achieve P-SOEcs with high performances and long-term stability.

Trigonelline exerts its neuroprotective effects in experimental spinal cord injury through modulation of inflammation, apoptosis, and neurotrophic factors

Objective:To assess the protective effects of trigonelline against spinal cord injury(ScI)in ***:Rats(Sprague-Dawley,male)were randomly assigned to seven groups(n=15 per group):normal,sham,ScI control(1%DMSO),methylprednisolone(30 mg/kg),and trigonelline(50,100,and 200 mg/kg).Rats received respective treatment daily for 28 *** was induced by using a temporary aneurysm ***,biochemical,and histological analyses were performed to investigate the neuroprotective effect of ***:Trigonelline(100 and 200 mg/kg)treatment effectively(PcI-induced changes in mechano-tactile sensation,allodynia,hyperalgesia,and motor nerve conduction *** notably(Pc(Bax and caspase-3)and inflammatory(cOX-Ⅱ)markers,while upregulating Bcl-2 and BDNF mRNA expression in the spinal cord(Pctively alleviated(PcI-induced alterations in mitochondrial complex levels,resulting in enhanced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide dehydrogenase,succinate dehydrogenase,redox activity,and cytochrome-c *** examination of spinal cord tissue indicated that trigonelline significantly(Pcal damage caused by ScI,thereby improving neuronal degeneration,inflammatory cell infiltration,and ***:Trigonelline shows neuroprotective properties in ScI rats by reducing allodynia,hyperalgesia,and inflammation,stabilizing mitochondrial enzyme complexes,and modulating apoptotic and neurotrophic ***,trigonelline holds promise as a potential neuroprotective agent.

confined electric field in nano-sized channels of ionic porous framework towards unique adsorption selectivity

Drone photography is an essential building block of intelligent transportation,enabling wide-ranging monitoring,precise positioning,and rapid ***,the high computational cost of transformer-based methods in object detection tasks hinders real-time result transmission in drone target detection ***,we propose mask adaptive transformer (MAT) tailored for such ***,we introduce a structure that supports collaborative token sparsification in support windows,enhancing fault tolerance and reducing computational *** structure comprises two modules:a binary mask strategy and adaptive window self-attention (A-WSA).The binary mask strategy focuses on significant objects in various complex *** A-WSA mechanism is employed to self-attend for balance perfomance and computational cost to select objects and isolate all contextual *** experiments on the challenging carPK and VisDrone datasets demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed ***,it achieves a mean average precision (mAP@0.5) improvement of 1.25%over car detector based on you only look once version 5 (cD-yOLOv5) on the carPK dataset and a 3.75%average precision(AP@0.5) improvement over cascaded zoom-in detector (cZ Det) on the VisDrone dataset.
