Enhanced crystallization of poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate)by a Self-assembly Nucleating Agent

poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate)(pBAT)is a promising biodegradable flexible polymer but suffers from slow crystallization rate,making it less attractive for some applications like the injection-molded products in comparison with low-density polyethylene(LDpE).This work aimed to accelerate the crystallization of pBAT by adding a self-assembly nucleating agent octamethylenedicarboxylic dibenzoylhydrazide(OMBH).pBAT/OMBH composites with various OMBH contents(0 wt%,0.5 wt%,0.7 wt%,1 wt%,2 wt%,3 wt%and 5 wt%)were prepared through *** effect of OMBH on the crystallization behavior,morphologies and mechanical properties of pBAT was *** highest nucleation efficiency value of 59.6%was achieved for pBAT with 0.7 wt%OMBH,much higher than that of 22.7%for pBAT with 0.7 wt%*** force microsc.p. results showed that OMBH formed fine fibers and induced the formation of transcrystalline layers of *** transform infrared spectrosc.p.(FTIR)combined with two-dimensional correlation spectra suggested that the intermolecular dipole-dipole N—H…O=c interactions but not hydrogen bond between OMBH and pBAT promoted the crystallization of pBAT in the initial period of *** presence of OMBH did not change the crystal form of pBAT but had positive contribution in enhancing its crystallinity and mechanical *** work is essential for preparing pBAT with high crystallization rate,enhancing its potential applications in injection-molded products.

Due to the low cost,high working voltage and high storage c.p.city,Li-rich Mn-based layered compounds show promise as the cathode materials for lithiumion batteries(LIBs).However,the side reactions at the solid-liquid interface of the cathode will lead to rapid c.p.city decay and inferior rate ***,this article proposes a liquid-phase dispersion strategy to introduce a Na_(2)WO_(4)layer on the Li_(1.2)Ni_(0.13)-co_(0.13)Mn_(0.54)O_(2) cathode,which can reduce the side effects between raw materials and electrolyte and promote the insertion/extraction rate of Li^(+),thus enhancing the material stability and rate *** a result,the c.p.city retention rate is 96.9%after 200 cycles under ***,the c.p.cities are 177.5,149.5,111.1 and58.3 mAh·g^(-1)at 1c,2c,5c and 10c,implying a superior fast charging *** exc.p.ional performance can be ascribed to both the increased conductivity and enhanced structural stability of the cathode ***'s more,based on the investigation of ion insertion/extraction behavior in electrode materials and the ion migration kinetics in the electrolyte,this study suggests that coating Li-rich Mn-based materials with Na_(2)WO_(4)can be a promising strategy to improve their performance in LIBs.

Understanding the combustion behavior of electric bicycle batteries and unveiling its relationship with fire extinguishing

In this study,a detailed analysis of the combustion behaviors of the lithium iron phosphate(LFp)and lithium manganese oxide(LMO)batteries used in electric bicycles was *** research included quantitative measurements of the combustion duration,flame height,combustion temperature,heat release rate,and total heat *** results indicated that LMO batteries exhibited higher combustion temperatures of 600–700°c,flame heights of 70–75 cm,a significantly higher heat release rate of40.1 k W(12 Ah),and a total heat release of 1.04 MJ(12 Ah)compared to LFp batteries with the same *** on these experimental results,a normalized total heat release(NORTHR)parameter was proposed,demonstrating good universality for batteries with different *** this parameter,quantitative calculations and optimization of the extinguishing agent dosage were conducted for fires involving these two types of batteries,and the method was validated by extinguishing fires for these two types of battery packs with water-based extinguishing fluids.

Metabolomic Analysis of the Anthocyanins Associated with Different colors of cymbidium goeringii in Guizhou, china

cymbidium goeringii is an economically important ornamental plant,and flower color is one of the main features of *** that contributes to its high economic *** clarify the molecular mechanisms underlying the role of anthocyanins in mediating differences in color among varieties,liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry was used to perform anthocyanin-targeted metabolomics of seven *** varieties,including‘Jin Qian Yuan’(JQY),‘Jin Xiu Qian Yuan’(JXQY),‘Miao Jiang Su Die’(MJSD),‘Qian Ming Su’(QMS),‘Shi chan’(Sc),and‘Yang Ming Su’(YMS),as well as the *** detected 64 anthocyanins,including cyanidins,delphinidins,malvidins,pelargonidins,peonidins,petunidins,procyanidins,and *** identified six shared differentially accumulated metabolites(DAMs),including cyanidin-3-O-rutinoside,delphinidin-3-Osophoroside,pelargonidin-3-O-rutinoside,peonidin-3-O-(6-O-malonyl-beta-D-glucoside),peonidin-3-Osophoroside,and *** DAMs were enriched in the anthocyanin biosynthesis *** Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway analysis revealed that the differentially expressed metabolites were significantly enriched in the anthocyanin biosynthesis *** of the content of differentially expressed metabolites indicated that peonidin-3-O-(6-O-malonyl-beta-D-glucoside)was the key metabolite underlying color differences among *** *** B2,pelargonidin-3-O-galactoside,and naringenin might also affect the color formation of JQY and QMS,Sc,and MJSD,*** results of this study shed light on the metabolic mechanism underlying flower color differences in *** at the molecular *** findings will aid future studies of the mechanism of flower color regulation in *** and have implications for the breeding of new varieties.

Draft tube vortex rope is considered a special cavitation flow phenomenon in tubular turbine *** vortex rope is one of the most detrimental factors affecting the safety of hydraulic *** this study,ANSYS cFX software was utilized to numerically simulate the internal cavitation flow of a hydraulic turbine draft *** evolution of the cavitation vortex core was characterized by vortex line distribution and vorticity transport *** shape and number of blades influenced the revolving direction and distribution characteristics of the vortex close to the runner cone,which formed a counterclockwise-clockwise-counterclockwise distribution ***,there were many secondary flows in the draft *** cancellation and dissipation between the flows was one of the reasons for reduction in *** the cross-sectional shape of the draft tube was changed,the vorticity was distributed from the center of the vortex rope to all parts of the cross-sectional draft tube,with extreme values at the center and at the *** vortex stretching and dilatation terms played a major role in the change in vorticity,with the baroclinic torque having an effect at the center of the vortex rope,this study is helpful to understand the flow of water in the draft tube and guide the design and optimization of the draft tube in engineering application.

Distribution and correlation of refractive parameters in children with different corneal curvatures in southeast china

AIM:To analyze the distribution of refractive status in school-age children with different corneal curvatures(cc)and the correlation between cc and refractive ***:A total of 2214 school-aged children of grade 4 in Hangzhou who were screened for school myopia were *** distance visual acuity(UcDVA),non-cycloplegic refraction,axial length(AL),horizontal and vertical corneal curvature(K1,K2)were measured and spherical equivalent(SE),corneal curvature radius(ccR)and axial length/corneal radius of curvature ratio(AL/cR)were ***classified as school-screening *** to the different ccRs,the patients were divided into the lower corneal curvature(Lcc)group(ccR≥7.92)and the higher corneal curvature(Hcc)group(ccRch group was further divided into the normal AL subgroup and the long AL *** refractive parameters were compared to identify any differences between the two ***:Both SE and AL were greater in the Lcc group(p=0.013,pprevalence of myopia was 38% in the Lcc group and 44% in the Hcc group(pproportion of children without screening myopia was higher in the Lcc group(62%)than in the Hcc group(56%).Among these children without screening myopia,the proportion of long AL in the Lcc group(24%)was significantly higher than that in the Hcc group(0.012%;pchange of SE in the Lcc group was less affected by the increase of AL than that in the Hcc ***:School-aged children in the Lcc group have a lower incidence of screening myopia and longer *** cc can mask SE reduction and AL growth to some extent,and the change of AL growth change more in children with low cc than high *** the onset of myopia,its growth rate is even faster than that after the onset of myopia.

Sex control techniques are in great demand for aquaculture because of the huge benefits of mono-sex *** a previous study on yellow catfish(Tachysurus fulvidraco),intersex individuals were produced by administrating 17α-methyltestosterone(MT)or aromatase inhibitor letrozole(LZ).The ovarian and testicular portions of intersexual gonads developed well and were completely separated,arousing our interest in producing self-fertilizable fish and clone-like fish *** this study,yellow catfish fry were treated with a combination of MT and LZ at a low dose(5 mg kg^(-1)MT,300 mg kg^(-1)LZ)at a low water temperature(27.0℃,mixed sex-producing temperature,LL group)and a high temperature(33.5◦c,male-producing temperature,HL group),and with a high dose(10 mg kg^(-1) MT,600 mg kg^(-1) LZ)at a low water temperature(LH group),during 12-65 days post-hatching,the critical period of sex *** XX and XY intersex were produced with different percentages at the same time through co-treatment with MT and LZ,with or without the help of male-producing *** highest percentage of XY intersex(53%in XY,36%in XX and XY)and XX intersex(47%in XX,25%in XX and XY)was produced in LH and HL groups,*** of gonadal morphology,histology,and sperm dynamic analysis indicate that some XX and XY intersex individuals were c.p.ble of self-fertilization through artificial *** reproductive performance of these intersex individuals was then investigated by injecting spawning agents,dissecting gonads,and artificially fertilizing eggs with their own *** XX,XY,and YY genotypic individuals were produced by the self-fertilization of XY intersex *** present study successfully produced high percentages of XX and XY intersex and conducted self-fertilization by mating the eggs and sperm of a single intersex ***-fertilization in fish will show great potential in aquaculture genetics and breeding,for example,generating high

In addition to the cardinal motor symptoms,pain is a major non-motor symptom of parkinson's disease(pD).Neuroinflammation in the substantia nigra pars compacta and dorsal striatum is involved in neurodegeneration in *** the polarization of microglia and astrocytes in the dorsal striatum and their contribution to motor deficits and hyperalgesia in pD have not been *** the present study,we observed that hemiparkinsonian mice established by unilateral 6-OHDA injection in the medial forebrain bundle exhibited motor deficits and mechanical *** these mice,both microglia and astrocytes in the dorsal striatum were activated and polarized to M1/M2 microglia and A1/A2 astrocytes as genes specific to these cells were *** effects peaked 7 days after 6-OHDA ***,striatal astrocytes in parkinsonian mice also displayed hyperpolarized membrane potentials,enhanced voltage-gated potassium currents,and dysfunction in inwardly rectifying potassium channels and glutamate *** administration of minocycline,a microglia inhibitor,attenuated the expression of genes specific to M1 microglia and A1 astrocytes in the dorsal striatum(but not those specific to M2 microglia and A2 astrocytes),attenuated the damage in the nigrostriatal dopaminergic system,and alleviated the motor deficits and mechanical allodynia in parkinsonian *** contrast,local administration of minocycline into the dorsal striatum of parkinsonian mice mitigated only *** study suggests that M1 microglia and A1 astrocytes in the dorsal striatum may play important roles in the development of pathophysiology underlying hyperalgesia in the early stages of pD.

A metal-free,green,and sustainable functionalization of unactivated alkyl sp^(3) c—H bonds is reported using iodine(III)as a feasible dehydrogenation agent under visible light or KBr,and alkyl chlorides,bromides,alcohols,and ketones could be constructed by addition of different coupling *** and safe iodobenzene diacetate was used to form a radical to activate the alkyl sp^(3) c—H bond in a highly efficient manner,which can construct different alkylation products by adding corresponding coupling reagents.
