coastal zones are dynamic,rich environments,now densely populated,and increasingly challenged by human and climatechange *** long-term integrated coastal zone planning is needed to ensure sustainable environmental protection and economic *** this study,we reviewed the history of coastal zone planning since its birth in the 1950s based on the literature retrieved from the Web of science(core collection)from 2000–2023,then summarized the tools and spatial allocation methods commonly used in the planning process,and finally proposed potential solutions to the challenges *** results show that after decades of development,coastal zone planning has changed from a decentralized activity to a targeted and integrated one,with an increasing emphasis on the ecosystem approach and the use of multiple planning *** analysis techniques and environmental modelling software have become increasingly *** programming and overlay analysis are common approaches when performing spatial optimization,but land-sea interactions and planning in the marine parts still lack in-depth analysis and practical *** are also aware that the challenges posed by the integration of administrative hierarchies,scoping and conservation objectives,stakeholder participation,consideration of social dimensions,and climate change are pervasive throughout the planning *** is an urgent need to develop more flexible and accurate spatial modelling tools,as well as more efficient participatory methods,and to focus on the holistic nature of the land-sea system to create more resilient and sustainable coastal zones.

Radiative decays D((s))*→D((s))γare revisited in light of new experimental data from the BaBar and BEsⅢ*** radiative couplings gD*Dγencoding nonperturbative QcD effects are calculated in the framework of the covariant confined quark model developed by *** compare our results with other theoretical studies and experimental *** couplings(in GeV-1)|g(D*+D+γ)|=0.45(9)and|g(D*0D0γ)|=1.72(34)calculated in our model agree with the corresponding experimental data|g(D*+D+γ)|=0.47(7)and|g(D*0D0γ)|=1.77(16).The most interesting case is the decay Ds*→Dsγ,for which a recent prediction based on light-cone sum rules at next-to-leading order|gDs*Dsγ|=0.60(19)deviates from the first(and only to date)lattice QcD result|gDs*Dsγ|=0.11(2)at nearly3σ.Our calculation yields|gDs*Dsγ|=0.29(6),which falls somehow between the two mentioned results,although it is larger than those predicted in other studies using quark models or QcD sum rules.

Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glasses are promising materials for thermometers based on the fluorescence intensity ratio(FIR)***,at high Nd^(3+)concentrations,energy transfer(ET)processes such as optical reabsorption and cross-relaxation can affect the Nd^(3+)emission,which has been little explored in the ***,the present work investigated the use of Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glass(samples doped with Nd^(3+)at 0.2 mol%,0.5 mol%,2.0 mol%,and 4.0 mol%)in fluorescence thermometers,in the temperature range from 299 to 371 *** results indicate a strong dependence of the FIR parameters on the Nd^(3+)concentration,due to changes in the emission band profiles caused by optical reabsorption of the Nd^(3+)emissions and cross-relaxation processes.A decrease of the relative sensitivity of the ratio^(4)F_(5/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)/^(4)F_(3/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)is observed for samples doped with higher amounts of Nd^(3+).The maximum relative sensitivity at 299 K is 3.00%/K,which is the highest value among the reported Nd^(3+)ions.

cr-induced fusion reactions to synthesize superheavy elements

We investigated ^(50,52-54)cr-induced fusion reactions for the synthesis of the superheavy element in the 104≤Z≤122 *** cross sections produced in this investigation using ^(54)cr projectiles were compared with those obtained in prior *** estimated cross sections from this analysis are consistent with the findings of prior *** the current study,the predicted cross section was found to be 42fb at 236 meV for ^(53)cr+^(243)Am,23.2 fb at 236 meV for ^(54)cr+^(247)cm,95.6 fb at 240 meV for ^(53)cr+248Bk,and 1.33 fb at 242 meV for ^(53)cr+***,these projected cross sections with excitation energy and beam energy will be useful in future cr-induced fusion reaction investigations.

Astrophysical s-factor and reaction rate for 15N(p,γ)16O within the modified potential cluster model

We study radiative p^(15)N capture on the ground state of ^(16)O at stellar energies within the framework of a modified potential cluster model(mPcm)with forbidden states,including low-lying *** investigation of the ^(15)N(p,γ0)^(16)O reaction includes the consideration of ^(3)s_(1) resonances due to E1 transitions and the contribution of the ^(3)P_(1) scattering wave in the p+^(15)N channel due to the ^(3)P_(1)→^(3)P_(0)m1 *** calculated the astrophysical low-energy s-factor,and the extrapolated s(0)turned out to be within 34.7−40.4 keV·*** important role of the asymptotic constant(Ac)for the ^(15)N(p,γ0)16O process with interfering ^(3)s_(1)(312)and ^(3)s_(1)(962)resonances is elucidated.A comparison of our calculation for the s-factor with existing experimental and theoretical data is addressed,and a reasonable agreement is *** reaction rate is calculated and compared with the existing *** has negligible dependence on the variation of Ac but shows a strong impact of the interference of ^(3)s_(1)(312)and ^(3)s_(1)(962)resonances in reference to the cNO Gamow windows,especially at low *** estimate the contribution of cascade transitions to the reaction rate based on the exclusive experimental data from ***.c.85,065810(2012).The reaction rate enhancement due to the cascade transitions is observed from T_(9)>0.3 and reaches the maximum factor~1.3 at T_(9)=*** present the Gamow energy window and a comparison of rates for radiative proton capture reactions ^(12)N(p,γ)^(13)O,^(13)N(p,γ)^(14)O,^(14)N(p,γ)^(15)O,and ^(15)N(p,γ)^(16)O obtained in the framework of the mPcm and provide the temperature windows,prevalence,and significance of each process.

Home Energy management systems(HEms)are increasingly relevant for demand-side management at the residential level by collecting data(energy,weather,electricity prices)and controlling home appliances or storage *** control can be performed with classical models that find optimal solutions,with high real-time computational cost,or data-driven approaches,like Reinforcement Learning,that find good and flexible solutions,but depend on the availability of load and generation data and demand high computational resources for *** this work,a novel HEms is proposed for the optimization of an electric battery operation in a real,online and data-driven environment that integrates state-of-the-art load forecasting combining cNN and LsTm neural networks to increase the robustness of *** Reinforcement Learning agents are trained with different algorithms(Double DQN,Dueling DQN,Rainbow and Proximal Policy Optimization)in order to minimize the cost of electricity purchase and to maximize photovoltaic self-consumption for a PV-Battery residential *** show that the best Reinforcement Learning agent achieves a 35%reduction in total cost when compared with an optimization-based agent.

The present study was to evaluate the effect of trace minerals(Zn,mn,and cu)from complexed amino acid minerals(ZmcAA)and bis-glycinate chelated minerals(ZmcGly)in laying hen diets on performance,internal and external egg quality,yolk mineral deposition,intestinal morphometry,and bone *** 78 to 98 weeks of age,400 White LsL-Lite strain laying hens were distributed in a randomized design with 4 treatments with 10 replicates per *** were distributed in a 2×2 factorial arrangement using either Zn,mn,and cu of ZmcAA or ZmcGly source at 2 levels:low(20,20,and 3.5 mg/kg of Zn,mn,and cu,respectively)or high(40,40,and 7 mg/kg of Zn,mn,and cu,respectively).The analysis of variance was performed,and in cases where differences were observed,the means were compared using Tukey?s test(Psource and level of trace mineral supplementation had a significant impact on the performance of laying *** fed ZmcAA had higher egg production(P=0.01),egg weight(P=0.02),egg mass(P=0.01),and lower feed conversion ratio(P=0.05)compared to those fed *** ZmcAA supplementation showed higher albumen height(P=0.01),albumen weight(P=0.01),and eggshell thickness(Psition of Zn(Pmn(Pcu(Ps greater for hens received *** weight(P=0.04)and bone densitometry(PmcAA *** the small intestine,ZmcAA resulted in longer villi(P=0.02)and shorter crypt depth(P=0.01)in the *** and ileum measurements were influenced by the level and source of trace minerals(Ps fed ZmcAA exhibited superior performance,egg quality,deposition of trace minerals in the egg yolk,and bone density compared to hens fed *** this study,older laying hens supplemented with ZmcAA at lower levels demonstrated adequate levels of supplementation.

search for production of dark fermion candidates in association with heavy neutral gauge boson decaying to dimuon in proton-proton collisions at√s=8 TeV using cms open data

In this study,we conducted a search for dark matter using a part of the data recorded by the cms experiment during run-I of the LHc in 2012 with a center of mass energy of 8 TeV and an integrated luminosity of 11.6 fb−*** data were gathered from the cms open *** matter,in the framework of the simplified model(mono-Z′),can be produced from proton-proton collisions in association with a new hypothetical gauge boson,Z′.Thus,the search was conducted in the dimuon plus large missing transverse momentum *** benchmark scenario of mono-Z′,which is known as light vector,was used for interpreting the cms open *** evidence of dark matter was observed,and exclusion limits were set on the masses of dark matter and Z′at 95%confidence level.

Engineering of efficient visible light photocatalysts:Ti_(1-x+y)cu_(x)La_(y)O_(2)(x=0.03;y=0,0.005,0.01) compositions

In dye-photocatalysis, widening the wavelengths absorption range of catalysts as well as aborting the recombination of the photoexcited charge carriers(electrons-holes pairs) are of paramount *** the current study, we report the photocatalytic characteristics of four compositions composed of TiO_(2),Ti_(0.97)cu_(0.03)O_(2), Ti_(0.965)cu_(0.03)La_(0.005)O_(2)and Ti_(0.96)cu_(0.03)La_(0.01)O_(2)powders for two harmful dyes(congo red and methylene blue). The X-ray diffraction technique verified the configuration of mixed anatase and rutile phases in pure TiO_(2)and Ti_(0.97)cu_(0.03)O_(2)powders while Ti_(0.965)cu_(0.03)La_(0.005)O_(2)and Ti_(0.96)cu_(0.03)La_(0.01)O_(2)powders possess anatase phase only. The changes of the band gap structure and dimensions of the unit cell volume of TiO_(2)confirm the substitution of Ti^(4+)sites by cu^(2+)and La^(3+)ions. Remarkable widening of wavelengths absorption with formation of long absorption tails were found in TiO_(2)(3.13 e V) through insertion of La^(3+)plus cu^(2+)ions. Ti_(0.965)cu_(0.03)La_(0.005)O_(2)and Ti_(0.96)cu_(0.03)La_(0.01)O_(2)samples exhibit a visible light band gap of 2.3 and 2.7 e V, respectively. Based on sEm images, incorporation of cu^(2+)and La^(3+)ions influences the surface morphology of TiO_(2). The resulting Ti_(0.97)cu_(0.03)O_(2), Ti_(0.965)cu_(0.03)La_(0.005)O_(2)and Ti_(0.96)cu_(0.03)La_(0.01)O_(2)powders present enhanced photocatalytic activity towards congo red dye degradation compared to pure one under natural solar spectrum. The best Ti_(0.96)cu_(0.03)La_(0.01)O_(2)catalyst exhibits superior photocatalytic activity of 96% for 10 ppm cR dye in 20 min as well as above average photocatalytic efficiency of 63% for 30 ppm cR dye in 120 min. As well, it showed acceptable photodegradation activity of 52% for 30 ppm mB solution in 140 min of sunlight irradiation.
