＜正＞We report new Archaean carbonaceous microstructures from ca. 3.4 Ga sedimentary rocks in the Pilbara craton, Western Australia. Specifically, we have discovered a similar association of microstructures of various morphological types in carbonaceous black cherts at Mount Goldsworthy and Mount Grant, 100km east of Port Hedland. The cherts are closely associated with evaporites and the associations are inter-bedded with silicified coarse- to fine-grained clastic rocks and laminated chert. The sedimentary succession is assumed to have deposited at the continental margin setting. Significant supply of detritus from granitoid rocks is also recently suggested by trace element geochemistry. The mode of occurrence and sedimentary petrology indicate a primary sedimentary origin and low metamorphic grade （＜ greenschist facies） for the black cherts. Traceelement data including rare-earth elements show some contribution of hydrothermal components, suggesting that the chert was deposited in a closed to semi-closed, coastal basin into which hydrothermal fluids discharged intermittently.

We investigated the influence of electric field and magnetic field on the ground state energy ofpolaron in spherical semiconductor quantum dot （QD） using a modified Lee Low Pines （LLP） method. The numerical results show the increase of the ground state energy with the increase of the electric field and the decreasing with the magnetic field. The modulation of the electric field, magnetic field and the confinement lengths lead to the control of the decoherence of the system.

The effect of sintering temperature on microstructure and varistor properties of Zn-V-O-based ceramics incorporated with Mn-Nb-Tb was investigated. The results showed that the increase of sintering temperature in the range from 875 to 950 °c decreased the densities of sintered pellets in the range of 5.55 to 5.45 g/cm3 and increased the average grain size in the range of 4.1 to 8.8 ？m. The breakdown field decreased noticeably from 7443 to 1064 V/cm with increasing sintering temperature from 875 to 950 °c. The varistor ceramics sintered at 900 ？c exhibited nonlinear properties, with 49.4 in the nonlinear coefficient and 0.21 m A/cm2 in the leakage current density. The dielectric constant increased greatly from 440.1 to 2197.2 with increasing sintering temperature from 875 to 950 °c; however, the dissipation factor exhibited a fluctuation between 0.237 and 0.5. These ceramic compositions and sintering conditions can be applied to the development of advanced multiplayer varistors with silver as an inner electrode.

Background Many patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) have complicated with hypertension and may be prescribed with antihypertension medications to control their blood pressure But whether antihypertension medications can also decrease arterial stiffness or control the blood pressure increasing following obstructive events is not well described This study aimed to investigate whether antihypertensive medications can ameliorate the changes in arterial stiffness and blood pressure associated with OSA Methods Sixtyone OSAS patients [13 women, 48 men, mean age (534±123) years], 26 normotensive patients (N), 7 hypertensive patients on no antihypertension medications (H), and 28 hypertensive patients on various combination antihypertension therapy (HM), were prospectively diagnosed with standard nocturnal polysomnography Beattobeat blood pressure was continuously recorded from the radial artery by applanation tonometry during baseline sleep As a measure of arterial stiffness, arterial augmentation index (AAI) was calculated as the ratio of augmented systolic blood pressure (SBP) to pulse pressure and expressed as a percentage for the following conditions: awakening, the first 10 ("early apnea") and last 10 ("late apnea") cardiac cycles of obstructive events (apnea or hypopnea), and the first 15 cardiac cycles following event termination ("post apnea") for all events with nadir O2 saturation ≤89% Results Systolic blood pressure (SBP) postapnea [(14274±1306) mmHg (N), (13706±2656) mmHg (H), (13694±141) mmHg (HM)] was significantly increased from awakening [(13576±1476) mmHg (N), (13558±2317) mmHg (H), (12977±1400) mmHg (HM)], early apnea [(13053±1265) mmHg (N), (12447±2497) mmHg (H), (12604±1312) mmHg (HM)], and late apnea [(1298±1268) mmHg(N), (12478±2515) mmHg (H), (12448±1382) mmHg (HM)] respectively (Pcantly increased for the N group (Pkening to late

Industrial and agricultural activities lead to the release of rare earth elements(REEs)in wastewater and aquatic ecosystems,and their accumulation in ***,the behavior of REEs in soils remains somewhat *** the present work the fractionation and fixation of REEs in soddy-podzolic and chernozem soils spiked with La,ce,and Nd chlorides were studied using dynamic(continuous flow)extraction,which allows natural conditions to be mimicked and artefacts to be *** eluents applied are aimed to dissolve exchangeable,specifically sorbed,bound to Mn oxides,bound to metal-organic complexes,and bound to amorphous and poorly ordered Fe/Al oxides fractions extractable by 0.05 mol/L ca(NO_(3))2,0.43 mol/L cH_(3)cOOH,0.1 mol/L NH_(2)OH·Hcl,0.1 mol/L k_(4)P_(2)O_(7) at pH 11,and 0.1 mol/L(NH4)_(2)c_(2)O_(4) at pH 3.2,*** is found that the fixations of added La,ce,and Nd in the form of metal-organic complexes is predominant for both types of soils:35%-38%in soddy-podzolic soil and 50%-79%in *** fixation of added elements in the first three fractions(exchangeable,specifically sorbed,and bound to Mn oxides)is significant for soddy-podzolic soil(5%-25%).For chernozem,the relative contents of added ce and Nd in these fractions are nearly *** the content of exchangeable La is notable,about 5%.Adding any of three elements(La,ce,or Nd)at the level of100 mg/kg to an initial sample results in changing the fractionation and bioaccessibility of other REEs present in *** contents increase in the first three fractions and decrease in fifth(oxalate extractable)fraction for both soddy-podzolic soil and *** main difference is the behavior of REEs in pyrophosphate extractable *** soddy-podzolic soil,adding La,ce,or Nd results in decreasing the contents of other REEs associated with organic *** chernozem,on the contrary,the contents of REEs in the form of metal-organic complexes slightly *** processes

The effect of small changes in sintering temperature on microstructure, electrical properties, dielectric characteristics, and degradation behavior of V-Mn-Nb-Gd co-doped zinc oxide ceramics was investigated. With the increase of sintering temperature, the densities of the sintered pellets decreased from 5.54 to 5.42 g/cm3 and the average grain size increased from 4.1 to 11.7 μm. The breakdown field(E1 m A) decreased noticeably from 7138 to 920 V/cm with the increase of sintering temperature. The varistor ceramics sintered at 900 ℃ exhibited excellent nonohmic properties, which were 66 for the nonohmic coefficient and 77 μA/cm2 for the leakage current density. concerning stability, the varistors sintered at 900 ℃ exhibited the strongest accelerated degradation characteristics, with ΔE1 mA =-9.2% for Dc accelerated degradation stress of 0.85 E1 m A at 85 °c for 24 h.

We studied the factors affecting the framework aluminium distribution in the ZSM-5 structure by hydrothermal treatment under different conditions. (27)AlMASNMR, XPS and chemical analysis revealed that with steaming at lower water vapor pressure, the framework aluminium located at the external surface is less stable. Steaming at higher water vapor pressure is beneficial in removing the framework Al in HZSM-5, and especially helpful in removing that located at the internal surface of HZSM-5. By changing steaming conditions, one may control the framework aluminium distribution in the HZSM-5 structure.
