Synthetic molecules that form functional noncovalent assemblies in water have received much attention for their potential applications as *** this work,we introduce a novel water-compatible monomer based on the phthalhydrazide moiety that assembles into hydrogen-bonded trimeric *** bulk,the material exhibits a cylindrical nanostructure in the liquid-crystalline phase at elevated temperatures,morphologically distinct from the crystalline lamellar *** water,these molecules effectively form cylinders in a one-dimensional fashion,yielding fibrous *** formation of these supramolecular polymers follows a cooperative mechanism,as evidenced by denaturation *** trimerized pattern represents a new category of aqueous su pramolecular polymers with future prospects for functional complex molecular systems.

This work reports the influence of alumina fiber reinforcement of an AZ91Nd MMc(metal matrix composite)on the PEO coating formation process in a sodium phosphate-based *** comparison with the pure AZ91Nd,the evolution of alumina fiber during the processing and the characteristics of the resultant PEO coating were *** voltage response as a function of processing time was *** voltage in the presence of alumina fiber is responsible for the lower coating *** morphology and phase composition of the coatings are also influenced by the incorporation of the ***,the fiber is embedded in the coating and interrupts the continuity of the *** increasing processing time,the fiber is found to be reactively incorporated in the *** intention to produce a MgAl_(2)O_(4)containing coating is achieved and it is mainly accumulated near the coating ***,due to the low number of fibers,the Al content is overall still low and only near to the fibers the MgAl_(2)O_(4)spinel phase can form.

continuous high spatial resolution observations of living cells would greatly aid the elucidation of the relation-ship between structure and function and facilitate the study of major physiological processes such as the mechanism of action of aldosterone on the activity regulation of epithelial sodium channel （ENac）. Unfortunately, observing the micro-structural and functional changes in the membrane of living cells is still a big challenge in current nanomedicine. Scanning ion conductance microscopy （SIcM） is such a kind of scanning probe microscopy, which is designed for continuous high-resolution topographic imaging of living cells. Under the help of SIcM, we have found that aldosterone stimulates ATP release and the basolateral P2X4-like receptors may be in-volved in the regulation of the activity of ENac. However, the signaling components linking receptor binding to final ENac channel regulation remain incompletely characterized. We have now further investigated using SIcM and Xenopus A6 kidney epithelial cells that the involvement of the PI3K path-way during the aldosterone action. Three hours continuous SIcM observations showed how A6 cells changed their morphology in response to the aldosterone treatment. Patch clamping of individual cells enabled anatomy and function to be correlated, showed that the morphology changed cells with the ENac channel activity. These morphol-ogy changes and ENac activities were abolished by the specify Phosphoinositide 3-kinases （PI3K） inhibitor LY294002. SIcM has the potential to become a powerful tool for research on living renal cells, and has been used to elucidate how PI3K pathway involved in the aldosterone action on renal epithelial sodium reabsorption.

In this paper,water diffusion coefficients and dynamics in PI film/adhesive/PI film joints are determined with both energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and elemental *** energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy analysis (EDX) is an easy and exact method for determination of water diffusion coefficients and *** we have calculated the water diffusion coefficients and dynamics in PI film/adhesive/PI film joints subjected to different surface treatments with both energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and elemental *** water diffusion coefficients and dynamics in the adhesive joints determined with EDX analysis are almost the same as those determined with elemental *** durability of the adhesive joints with PI film subjected to c06O irradiation is better than those subjected to acetone washing treatment and chemical treatment.

Binding interaction of phosphorus heterocycles with bovine serum albumin:A biochemical study

Interaction between bovine serum albumin(BSA) and phosphorus heterocycles(PHs) was studied using multispectroscopic techniques. The results indicated the high binding affinity of PHs to BSA as it quenches the intrinsic fluorescence of BSA. The experimental data suggested the fluorescence quenching mechanism between PHs and BSA as a dynamic quenching. From the UV–vis studies, the apparent association constant(K_(app)) was found to be 9.25×10~2, 1.27×10~4and 9.01×10~2L/mol for the interaction of BSA with PH-1, PH-2 and PH-3,respectively. According to the F?rster's non-radiation energy transfer(FRET) theory, the binding distances between BSA and PHs were calculated. The binding distances(r) of PH-1, PH-2 and PH-3 were found to be2.86, 3.03, and 5.12 nm, respectively, indicating energy transfer occurs between BSA and PHs. The binding constants of the PHs obtained from the fluorescence quenching data were found to be decreased with increase of temperature. The negative values of the thermodynamic parameters ΔH, ΔS and ΔG at different temperatures revealed that the binding process is spontaneous; hydrogen bonds and van der Waals interaction were the main force to stabilize the complex. The microenvironment of the protein-binding site was studied by synchronous fluorescence and circular dichroism(cD) techniques and data indicated that the conformation of BSA changed in the presence of PHs. Finally, we studied the BSA-PHs docking using Auto Dock and results suggest that PHs is located in the cleft between the domains of BSA.
