Present of wind power is sporadically and cannot be utilized as the only fundamental load of energy *** paper proposes a wind-solar hybrid energy storage system(HeSS)to ensure a stable supply grid for a longer period.A multi-objective genetic algorithm(MOGA)and state of charge(SOc)region division for the batteries are introduced to solve the objective function and configuration of the system capacity,***/Simulink was used for simulation *** optimization results show that for a 0.5 MW wind power and 0.5 MW photovoltaic system,with a combination of a 300 Ah lithium battery,a 200 Ah lead-acid battery,and a water storage tank,the proposed strategy reduces the system construction cost by approximately 18,000 ***,the cycle count of the electrochemical energy storage systemincreases from4515 to 4660,while the depth of discharge decreases from 55.37%to 53.65%,achieving shallow charging and discharging,thereby extending battery life and reducing grid voltage fluctuations *** proposed strategy is a guide for stabilizing the grid connection of wind and solar power generation,capability allocation,and energy management of energy conservation systems.

AIM To clarify the association of malignancy with mesenteric panniculitis-like changes on computed tomography(cT).MeTHODS All abdominal cT scans performed at North Shore University HealthS ystem showing mesenteric panniculitis from January 2005 to August 2010 were identified in the Radnet(Rad Net corporation, Los Angeles, cA) database. Patients with a new or known diagnosis of a malignancy were included for this analysis. Longitudinal clinical histories were obtained from electronic medical *** In total, 147794 abdominal cT scans were performed during the study period. Three hundred and fiftynine patients had mesenteric panniculitis(MP)-like abnormalities on their abdominal cT. Of these patients, 81 patients(22.6%) had a known history of cancer at the time of their cT scan. Nineteen(5.3%) had a new diagnosis of cancer in concurrence with their cT, but the majority of these(14/19, 74%) were undergoing cT as part of a malignancy evaluation. Lymphomas were the most common cancers associated with MPlike findings on cT(36 cases, 36%), with follicular lymphoma being the most frequent subtype(17/36). A variety of solid tumors, most commonly prostate(7) and renal cell cancers(6) also were seen. cT follow up was obtained in 56 patients. Findings in the mesentery were unchanged in 45(80%), worsened in 6(11%), and improved in 5 patients(9%). Positron emission tomography(PeT) scans performed in 44 patients only showed a positive uptake in the mesenteric mass in 2 patients(5%). cONcLUSION A new diagnosis of cancer is uncommon in patients with cT findings suggestive of MP. MP-like mesenteric abnormalities on cT generally remain stable in patients with associated malignancies. PeT scanning is not recommended in the evaluation of patients with mesenteric panniculitis-like findings on cT.

Liposarcoma is one of the most common soft tissue sarcomas,however,its occurrence rate is still rare compared to other *** to its rarity,in vitro experiments are an essential approach to elucidate liposarcoma *** cell culture-based research(2D cell culture)is still playing a pivotal role,while several shortcomings have been recently under *** vivo,mouse models are usually adopted for pre-clinical analyses with expectations to overcome the issues of 2D cell ***,they do not fully recapitulate human dedifferentiated liposarcoma(DDLPS)***,three-dimensional(3D)culture systems have been the recent research focus in the cell biology field with the expectation to overcome at the same time the disadvantages of 2D cell culture and in vivo animal models and fill in the gap between *** the liposarcoma rarity,we believe that 3D cell culture techniques,including 3D cell cultures/co-cultures,and Patient-Derived tumor Organoids(PDOs),represent a promising approach to facilitate liposarcoma investigation and elucidate its molecular mechanisms and effective therapy *** this review,we first provide a general overview of 3D cell cultures compared to 2D cell *** then focus on one of the recent 3D cell culture applications,Patient-Derived Organoids(PDOs),summarizing and discussing several PDO ***,we discuss the current and future applications of PDOs to sarcoma,particularly in the field of liposarcoma.

Bound states in the continuum （BIcs） are perfectly localized resonances despite embedding in the continuum ***,an isolated BIc is very sensitive to the structure ***,we report merging acoustic BIcs in a single open resonator,robust against the structure *** find that both symmetry-protected BIc and Friedrich-Wintgen BIc are sustained in a single coupled waveguide-resonator *** varying the height and length of the resonator,these two BIcs move toward each other and merge into a single one at a critical *** to an individual BIc,the merged BIc is robust against fabrication error because its Q-factor is proportional to ΔL-4,whereΔL embodies the structure *** essence of this extraordinary phenomenon is perfectly explained by the two-and three-level approximations of the effective nonHermitian ***,we present direct experimental demonstrations of the moving and merging of BIcs in a coupled 3D waveguide-resonator,which are evidenced by the vanishing of the linewidth of Fano resonance in the transmission *** results may find exciting applications in designing high-quality acoustic sources,sensors and filters.

A data-driven approach using machine learning is presented for the identification of the critical flame location for the early detection of an incipient lean blowout(LBO)in a realistic gas turbine engine combustor under engine-relevant *** method is demonstrated by utilizing the temperature(T)and the hydroxyl radical mass fraction(YOH)data from high fidelity large eddy simulations(LeS)of Jet-A *** fuel flow rate is progressively reduced in numerical simulations with a fixed airflow rate to mimic experimental studies of LBO in the gas turbine *** simulations are the first of their kind for a fully resolved realistic combustor geometry with adaptive mesh refinement and have accurately captured the dynamics of the LBO process and global lean blowout equivalence ***-series of T and YOH are extracted in the primary zone of the combustor,from stable flame condition to LBO condition,to train the machine learning model.A Support Vector Machine(SVM)model with radial basis function is successfully developed to identify the critical flame location for early detection of incipient LBO condition in a practical combustor for the first *** performance of the SVM model is quantified using the F-score,and the critical flame location corresponds to the maximum value of the *** critical flame location is found to be in the flame root region and is effective in the early detection of incipient *** conventional statistical measures are compared with the results of the trained machine learning model to assess the feasibility of the latter for online flame health *** machine learning model successfully prognosticated the LBO approximately 20 ms before the event,and this study has shown significant promise for the use of the SVM model in engine prognostics and health management.

Pockets of unburned material in turbulent premixed flames burning cHs,air,and cO_(2) were studied using OH Planar Laser-Induced Fuorescence(PLIF)images to improve current *** flames are ubiquitous in most natural gas air combustors running gas turbines with dry exhaust gas recirculation(eGR)for land-based power *** improvements continue in the charactenization and understanding of turbulent flames with eGR particularly for transient events like ignition and *** and/or islands of unburned material within bumed and unburned turbulent media are some of the features of these *** features reduce the heat release rates and increase the carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons *** present work involves convolutional Neural Networks(cNN)based dassification of PIF images containing unburned pockets in three turbulent flames with 0%,5%,and 10%cO_(2).The cNN model was constructed using three convolutional layers and two fully connected layers using dropout and weight *** of 94.2%,92.3%and 89.2%were registered for the three flames,*** present approach represents significant computational time savings with respect to conventional image processing methods.

Avalanche activities in the Indian Himalaya cause the majority of fatalities and responsible for heavy damage to the *** susceptibility maps assist decision-makers and planners to execute suitable measures to reduce the avalanche *** the present study,a probabilistic data-driven geospatial fuzzy–frequency ratio(fuzzy–FR)model is proposed and developed for avalanche susceptibility mapping,especially for the large undocumented *** fuzzy–FR model for avalanche susceptibility mapping is initially developed and applied for Lahaul-Spiti *** fuzzy–FR model utilized the six avalanche occurrence factors(***,aspect,curvature,elevation,terrain roughness and vegetation cover)and one referent avalanche inventory map to generate the avalanche susceptibility *** 292 documented avalanche locations from the avalanche inventory map,233(80%)were used for training the model and remaining 59(20%)were used for validation of the *** avalanche susceptibility map is validated by calculating the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(ROc-AUc)*** validation of the results using ROc-AUc technique,the success rate and prediction rate were *** values of success rate and prediction rate were 94.07%and 91.76%,*** validation of results using ROc-AUc indicated the fuzzy–FR model is appropriate for avalanche susceptibility mapping.
