We study the ■_(s)^(0)→J/ψf_(0)(980) and ■_(s)^(0)→J/ψa_(0)(980) reactions,and pay attention to the different sources of iso spin violation and mixing of f_(0)(980) and a_(0)(980) resonances where these resonances are dynamically generated from meson-meson *** find that the main cause of isospin violation is isospin breaking in the meson-meson transition T matrices,and the other source is that the loops involving kaons in the production mechanism do not cancel due to the different masses of charged and neutral *** obtain a branching ratio for a_(0)(980)production of the order of 5×10^(-6).Future experiments can address this problem,and the production rate and shape of the π^(0)η mass distribution will definitely help to better understand the nature of scalar resonances.

In this work, we introduce a polymer version of a previously developed silicon MeMS drop deposition tool for surfacefunctionalization that consists of a microcantilever integrating an open fluidic channel and a reservoir. The device isfabricated by laser stereolithography, which offers the advantages of low-cost and fast prototyping. Additionally,thanks to the ability to process multiple materials, a magnetic base is incorporated into the cantilever for convenienthandling and attachment to the holder of a robotized stage used for spotting. Droplets with diameters ranging from∼50 μm to ∼300 μm are printed upon direct contact of the cantilever tip with the surface to pattern. Liquid loading isachieved by fully immersing the cantilever into a reservoir drop, where a single load results in the deposition of morethan 200 droplets. The influences of the size and shape of the cantilever tip and the reservoir on the printing outcomeare studied. As a proof-of-concept of the biofunctionalization capability of this 3D printed droplet dispenser,microarrays of oligonucleotides and antibodies displaying high specificity and no cross-contamination are fabricated,and droplets are deposited at the tip of an optical fiber bundle.

Motion of a vertically falling nano droplet in incompressible Newtonian media with initial velocity is investigated. The instantaneous velocity and acceleration are carried out by using the variational iteration method(VIM) and homotopy perturbation method(HPM), which are analytical solution techniques. The obtained results are compared with Runge–Kutta method in order to verify the accuracy of the proposed methods. The results show that, the analytical solutions are in good agreement with each other and with the numerical solution. Also, the effects of sphericity(?) on the velocity and acceleration profiles of the nano droplet are explained. Moreover, the results demonstrate that the VIM-Padé and HPM-Padé are very effective in generating analytical solutions for even highly nonlinear problems.

A golden age for heavy quarkonium physics dawned at the turn of this century, initiated by the confluence of exciting advances in quantum chromodynamics （QcD） and an explosion of related experimental activity. The subsequent broad spectrum of breakthroughs, surprises, and continuing puzzles had not been anticipated. In that period, the BeSII program concluded only to give birth to BeSIII; the B-factories and cLeO-c flourished; quarkonium production and polarization measurements at HeRA and the Tevatron matured; and heavyion collisions at RHIc opened a window on the deconfinement regime. Recently also ATLAS, cMS and LHcb started to contribute to the field. For an extensive presentation of the status of heavy quarkonium physics, the reader is referred to several reviews [1-8]. This note focuses on experimental developments in heavy quarkonium spectroscopy with very few theoretical comments. Some other comments on possible theoretical interpretations of the states not predicted by the quark model are presented in the mini-review on non qq-states.

Sponges(phylum Porifera) represent a successful animal taxon that evolved prior to the ediacaran-cambrian boundary(542 million years ago).They have developed an almost complete array of cell-and tissue-based interaction systems necessary for the establishment of a functional,multicellular ***,a network of neurons,one cell/tissue-communication system is missing in *** fact is puzzling and enigmatic,because these animals possess receptors known to be involved in the nervous system in evolutionary younger animal *** an example,the metabotropic glutamate/GABA-like receptor has been identified and cloned by ***,we have identified a novel light transmission/light responsive system in sponges that is based on their skeletal elements,the siliceous glass fibers,termed *** classes of sponges,the Hexactinellida and the Demospongiae,possess a siliceous skeleton that is composed of *** the large spicules from hexactinellid sponges(>5 cm) revealed that these spicules are effective light-collecting optical *** we can report that the demosponge,Suberites domuncula,has a biosensor system consisting of the(organic) light producing luciferase and the(inorganic) light transducing silica *** light transmission features of these smaller spicules(200 μm) has been demonstrated and the ability of the sponge tissue to generate light had been *** for a luciferase gene in *** was *** the next step,we searched for a protein potentially involved in light *** a protein was identified,cloned and recombinantly expressed from *** protein sequence displays two domains characteristic of a cryptochrome,the N-terminal photolyase-related region and the c-terminal FAD-binding *** experimental data indicate that sponges may employ a network of luciferase-like proteins,a spicular system and a cryptochrome as the light source,optical waveguide and photosensor,***
