A parabolic trough solar collector(PTSc)converts solar radiation into thermal ***,low thermal efficiency of PTSc poses a hindrance to the deployment of solar thermal power *** performance of PTSc is enhanced in this study by incorporating magnetic nanoparticles into the working *** circular receiver pipe,with dimensions of 66 mm diameter,2 mm thickness,and 24 m length,is exposed to uniform temperature and velocity *** working fluid,Therminol-66,is supplemented with Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles at concentrations ranging from 1%to 4%.The findings demonstrate that the inclusion of nanoparticles increases the convective heat transfer coefficient(HTc)of the PTSc,with higher nanoparticle volume fractions leading to greater heat transfer but increased pressure *** thermal enhancement factor(TEF)of the PTSc is positively affected by the volume fraction of nanoparticles,both with and without a magnetic ***,the scenario with a 4%nanoparticle volume fraction and a magnetic field strength of 250 G exhibits the highest TEF,indicating superior thermal *** findings offer potential avenues for improving the efficiency of PTScs in solar thermal plants by introducing magnetic nanoparticles into the working fluid.

Efficient detection of single optical centres in solids is essential for quantum information processing, sensing and single-photon generation *** this work,we use radio-frequency（RF） reflectometry to electrically detect the photoionisation induced by a single Er3+ion in *** high bandwidth and sensitivity of the RF reflectometry provide sub-100-ns time resolution for the photoionisation *** this technique,the optically excited state lifetime of a single Er3+ion in a Si nano-transistor is measured for the first time to be 0.49±0.04μ*** results demonstrate an efficient approach for detecting a charge state change induced by Er excitation and *** approach could be used for fast readout of other single optical centres in solids and is attractive for large-scale integrated optical quantum systems thanks to the multi-channel RF reflectometry demonstrated with frequency multiplexing techniques.

The layer Hall effect describes electrons spontaneously deflected to opposite sides at different layers, which has been experimentally reported in the MnBi2Te4thin films under perpendicular electric fields. Here, we reveal a universal origin of the layer Hall effect in terms of the so-called hidden Berry curvature, as well as material design principles. Hence, it gives rise to zero Berry curvature in momentum space but non-zero layer-locked hidden Berry curvature in real space. We show that, compared to that of a trivial insulator, the layer Hall effect is significantly enhanced in antiferromagnetic topological insulators. Our universal picture provides a paradigm for revealing the hidden physics as a result of the interplay between the global and local symmetries, and can be generalized in various scenarios.

Nonlinear dielectric metasurfaces provide a promising approach to control and manipulate frequency conversion optical processes at the nanoscale,thus facilitating both advances in fundamental research and the development of new practical applications in photonics,lasing,and ***,we employ symmetry-broken metasurfaces made of centrosymmetric amorphous silicon for resonantly enhanced second-and third-order nonlinear optical *** the rich physics of optical quasi-bound states in the continuum and guided mode resonances,we comprehensively study through rigorous numerical calculations the relative contribution of surface and bulk effects to second-harmonic generation(SHG)and the bulk contribution to third-harmonic generation(THG) from the ***,we experimentally achieve optical resonances with high quality factors,which greatly boosts light-matter interaction,resulting in about 550 times SHG enhancement and nearly 5000-fold increase of THG.A good agreement between theoretical predictions and experimental measurements is *** gain deeper insights into the physics of the investigated nonlinear optical processes,we further numerically study the relation between nonlinear emission and the structural asymmetry of the metasurface and reveal that the generated harmonic signals arising from linear sharp resonances are highly dependent on the asymmetry of the *** work suggests a fruitful strategy to enhance the harmonic generation and effectively control different orders of harmonics in all-dielectric metasurfaces,enabling the development of efficient active photonic nanodevices.

Insight into Metabolomic Profiling of Tinospora cordifolia: Recent Advances and Future Perspectives of Quality control

The objective of this study was to offer a review of previous works on Tinospora cordifolia(Tc) metabolomics with a highlight on the use of metabolomics in comparative evaluations between varieties and selection of optimum cultivation, collection, and extraction procedures, providing insights into pharmaceutical and food product quality monitoring. Scholarly databases were searched to gather relevant information on Tc's therapeutic usefulness, phytoconstituent studies, metabolomics, and applications. Pub chem was used to learn the structures of several of the metabolites. The various medicinal properties of Tc were extensively researched. The most essential portions of the plant in Ayurvedic medicines are the stems. Bioactive phytochemicals such as steroidal lactones, alkaloids, diterpenoids, and phenolic compounds are present in the roots and leaves. Metabolomic analysis revealed that, in addition to the season and geographical region of the sample collected, the metabolite profiles of Tc also depend on the parts of the plant taken as a sample and also the plant's stage of growth. The amounts of secondary metabolites differed between morpho/chemotypes within the Tc species. Despite the fact that research on Tc began several decades ago, the diversity of phytoconstituents was not appreciated because of a lack of reliable techniques for phytochemical fingerprinting. The uncovering of several novel metabolites was aided by advances in chromatography combined with mass spectrometry. To produce a full metabolomic profile, researchers used mutually complementary techniques. Following that, data analysis and searches against spectrum databases allowed for signal annotation and interpretation of metabolites in large quantities without separating them separately. The current review includes a critical assessment of metabolomic data and an overview of the technique's various applications. Virtual Transmission Solution Based on Battery Energy Storage Systems to Boost Transmission capacity

The increasing penetration of variable renewable energy(VRE)generation along with the decommissioning of conventional power plants in chile,has raised several operational challenges in the chilean National Power Grid(NPG),including transmission congestion and VRE *** mitigate these limitations,an innovative virtual transmission solution based on battery energy storage systems(BESSs),known as grid booster(GB),has been proposed to increase the capacity of the main 500 kV corridor of the *** paper analyzes the dynamic performance of the GB using a wide-area electromagnetic transient(EMT)model of the *** GB project,composed of two 500 MVA BESS units at each extreme of the 500 kV corridor,allows increasing the transmission capacity for 15 min during N-1 contingencies,overcoming transmission limitations under normal operation conditions while maintaining system stability during *** dynamic behavior of the GB is also analyzed to control power flow as well as voltage *** results show that the GB is an effective solution to allow greater penetration of VRE generation while maintaining system stability in the NPG.
