Silicon quantum dots(SiQDs)with high water-soluble and favorable photostability were prepared by a one-step hydrothermal *** average diameter of SiQDs was 2.02 nm characterized by transmission electron *** was to be noted that the as-prepared SiQDs showed eff ective antibacterial activity,which was attributed to electrostatic interaction and the generation of reactive oxygen *** minimum inhibitory concentration of SiQDs against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus was 0.45 mg/mL and 0.38 mg/mL,***,based on the static quenching eff ect-induced fluorescence quenching mechanism,the SiQDs exhibited high sensitivity and selectivity for detecting tetracyclines(Tc).A good linear relationship was obtained between the fluorescence intensity of SiQDs and the concentration of tetracycline(Tc)in the range of 0–0.08μmol/L(R^(2)=0.9993)with a detection limit of 0.0176μmol/***,the Tc content in the honey samples was determined using the *** the results suggest that the as-prepared SiQDs can be a potential fluorescent probe for application in antibacterial and analysis.

Rare-earth elements(REEs)are critical to modern industry but difficult to separate due to their subtle and monotonic changes in physico-chemical ***2-based two-dimensional(2D)materials offer novel opportunities for enhancing REE separation,exhibiting a distinct volcano-shaped transport performance distribution that peaks at Sm3+.However,the specific contributions of thermodynamic and kinetic factors to ion transport within 2D confinement remain *** this study,we conducted a series of non-equilibrium all-atom molecular dynamics(MD)simulations to explore the effects of interlayer spacing and external pressure on the transport of lanthanide ions inÅ-scale acetate functionalized 2D MoS2(MoS2-cOOH)*** examined ion entry and permeation rates,water flux,dehydration,and binding *** simulation results reveal that the transport trends of lanthanide ions are jointly driven by the dehydration degree and the relative-binding strengths of ions to water and to the acetate within the 2D ***,the dehydration pattern of lanthanide ions during permeation is closely linked to kinetic ***,this study provides a detailed atomistic understanding of the mechanisms under-lying lanthanide ion transport under *** findings point to the significant potential for tuning confinement and chemical functionalization withinÅ-scale channels for more efficient REE separation.

Long-term time series forecasting stands as a crucial research domain within the realm of automated machine learning(AutoML).At present,forecasting,whether rooted in machine learning or statistical learning,typically relies on expert input and necessitates substantial manual *** manual effort spans model development,feature engineering,hyper-parameter tuning,and the intricate construction of time series *** complexity of these tasks renders complete automation unfeasible,as they inherently demand human intervention at multiple *** surmount these challenges,this article proposes leveraging Long Short-Term Memory,which is the variant of Recurrent Neural Networks,harnessing memory cells and gating mechanisms to facilitate long-term time series ***,forecasting accuracy by particular neural network and traditional models can degrade significantly,when addressing long-term time-series ***,our research demonstrates that this innovative approach outperforms the traditional Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average(ARIMA)method in forecasting long-term univariate time *** is a high-quality and competitive model in time series prediction,and yet it requires significant preprocessing *** multiple accuracy metrics,we have evaluated both ARIMA and proposed method on the simulated time-series data and real data in both short and long ***,our findings indicate its superiority over alternative network architectures,including Fully connected Neural Networks,convolutional Neural Networks,and Nonpooling convolutional Neural *** AutoML approach enables non-professional to attain highly accurate and effective time series forecasting,and can be widely applied to various domains,particularly in business and finance.

We apply the local method of fundamental solutions(LMFS)to boundary value problems(BVPs)for the Laplace and homogeneous biharmonic equations in *** appropriately choosing the collocation points,the LMFS discretization yields sparse block circulant system *** a result,matrix decomposition algorithms(MDAs)and fast Fourier transforms(FFTs)can be used for the solution of the systems resulting in considerable savings in both computational time and storage *** accuracy of the method and its ability to solve large scale problems are demonstrated by applying it to several numerical experiments.

Single-atom catalysts(SAcs)with high catalytic activity as well as great stability are demonstrating great promotion in electrocatalytic energy conversion,which is also a big challenge to ***,we proposed a facile synthetic strategy to construct nickel-iron bimetallic hydroxide nanoribbon stabilized single-atom iridium catalysts(Ir-NiFe-OH),where the nickel-iron hydroxide nanoribbon not only can serve as good electronic conductor,but also can well stabilize and fully expose single-atom *** as catalyst for urea oxidation reaction(UOR),it exhibited excellent UOR performance that it only needed a low operated potential of 1.38 V to achieve the current density of 100 mA·cm^(-2).In-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray absorption spectrum,and density functional theory calculations proved that Ir species are active centers and the existence of both Ni and Fe in the local structure of Ir atom can optimize the d-band center of Ir species,promoting the adsorption of intermediates and desorption of products for *** hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)/UOR electrocatalytic cell demanded voltages of 1.46 and 1.50 V to achieve 50 and 100 mA·cm^(-2),respectively,which demonstrated a higher activity and better stability than those of conventional *** work opens a new avenue to develop catalysts for UORs with boosted activity and stability.

Demand response has been recognized as a valuable functionality of power systems for mitigating power *** paper proposes a hierarchical control strategy among the distribution system operator(DSO),load aggregators(LAs),and thermostatically controlled loads(TcLs);the strategy includes a scheduling layer and an executive layer to provide load *** the scheduling layer,the DSO(leader)offers compensation price(cP)strategies,and the LAs(followers)respond to cP strategies with available regulation power(ARP)*** of the DSO and LAs are modeled according to their behaviors during the load regulation *** game is adopted to capture interactions among the players and leader and to obtain the optimal strategy for each participant to achieve ***,considering inevitable random factors in practice,e.g.,renewable generation and behavior of users,two different stochastic models based on sample average approximation(SAA)and parameter modification are formulated with improved scheduling *** the executive layer,distributed TcLs are triggered based on strategies determined in the scheduling layer.A self-triggering method that does not violate user privacy is presented,where TcLs receive external signals from the LA and independently determine whether to alter their operation *** simulations are performed on the modified IEEE-24 bus system to verify effectiveness of the proposed strategy.
