melt extrusion-based additive manufacturing(mE-Am)is a promising technique to fabricate porous scaffolds for tissue engi-neering ***,most synthetic semicrystalline polymers do not possess the intrinsic biological activity required to control cell *** of biomolecules on polymeric surfaces of Am scaffolds enhances the bioactivity of a construct;however,there are limited strategies available to control the surface ***,we report a strategy to tune the surface density of bioactive groups by blending a low molecular weight poly(ε-caprolactone)5k(PcL5k)containing orthogonally reactive azide groups with an unfunctionalized high molecular weight PcL75k at different *** porous three-dimensional(3D)scaf-folds were then fabricated using a high weight percentage(75 wt.%)of the low molecular weight PcL *** a proof-of-concept test,we prepared films of three different mass ratios of low and high molecular weight polymers with a thermopress and reacted with an alkynated fluorescent model compound on the surface,yielding a density of 201-561 pmol/cm^(2).Subsequently,a bone morphogenetic protein 2(BmP-2)-derived peptide was grafted onto the films comprising different blend compositions,and the effect of peptide surface density on the osteogenic differentiation of human mesenchymal stromal cells(hmScs)was *** two weeks of culturing in a basic medium,cells expressed higher levels of BmP receptor II(BmPRII)on films with the conjugated *** addition,we found that alkaline phosphatase activity was only significantly enhanced on films contain-ing the highest peptide density(i.e.,561 pmol/cm^(2)),indicating the importance of the surface *** together,these results emphasize that the density of surface peptides on cell differentiation must be considered at the cell-material ***,we have presented a viable strategy for mE-Am community that desires to tune the bulk and surface functionality via blending of(m

This review presents a conceptual framework and supporting evidence that links impaired motor control after sport-related concussion(SRc)to increased risk for musculoskeletal *** studies have found that athletes who are post-SRc have higher risk for musculoskeletal injury compared to their counterparts.A small body of research suggests that impairments in motor control are associated with musculoskeletal injury *** control involves the perception and processing of sensory information and subsequent coordination of motor output within the central nervous system to perform a motor *** control is inclusive of motor planning and motor *** sensory information is not accurately perceived or there is interference with sensory information processing and cognition,motor function will be altered,and an athlete may become vulnerable to injury during sport *** with SRc show neuroanatomic and neurophysiological changes relevant to motor control even after meeting return to sport criteria,including a normal neurological examination,resolution of symptoms,and return to baseline function on traditional concussion *** conjunction,altered motor function is demonstrated after SRc in muscle activation and force production,movement patterns,balance/postural stability,and motor task performance,especially performance of a motor task paired with a cognitive task(i.e.,dual-task condition).The clinical implications of this conceptual framework include a need to intentionally address motor control impairments after SRc to mitigate musculoskeletal injury risk and to monitor motor control as the athlete progresses through the return to sport continuum.

The conventional deadline and budget constrained （DBc） scheduling heuristics for economic-based computational grids does not take the inconsistency of grid heterogeneity into account, which can lead to decline of application completion ratios. motivated by this fact, a novel DI3c scheduling heuristics was proposed to deal with sequential workflow applications. In order to valuate the inconsistency, the relative cost （Rc） metric was introduced, which was used to indicate the task-starving degree for resources. The new algorithm assigns tasks to resources, considering completion time, budget and Rc together. The GridSim toolkit and the benchmark suites of the standard performance evaluation corporation （SPEc） were used to simulate the heterogeneous grid environment and applications. The experimental results show that the task and workflow completion ratios of the new heuristics are higher than those of the conventional heuristics.

17.1. Effective Field Theories Quantum field theories provide the most precise computational tools for describing physics at the highest energies. One of their characteristic features is that they almost inevitably involve multiple length scales. When trying to determine the value of an observable, quantum field theory demands that all possible virtual states and hence all particles be included in the calculation. Since these particles have widely different masses, the final prediction is sensitive to many scales. This fact represents a formidable challenge from a practical point of view. No realistic quantum field theories can be solved exactly, so that one needs to resort to approximation schemes; these, however, are typically most straightforward when only a single scale is involved at a time.

macrophage plasticity is critical for normal tissue repair following *** pathologic states such as diabetes,macrophage plasticity is impaired,and macrophages remain in a persistent proinflammatory state;however,the reasons for this are ***,using single-cell RNA sequencing of human diabetic wounds,we identified increased JmJD3 in diabetic wound macrophages,resulting in increased inflammatory gene ***,we report that in wound healing,JmJD3 directs early macrophage-mediated inflammation via JAK1,3/STAT3 ***,in the diabetic state,we found that IL-6,a cytokine increased in diabetic wound tissue at later time points post-injury,regulates JmJD3 expression in diabetic wound macrophages via the JAK1,3/STAT3 pathway and that this late increase in JmJD3 induces NFκB-mediated inflammatory gene transcription in wound macrophages via an H3K27me3 ***,RNA sequencing of wound macrophages isolated from mice with JmJD3-deficient myeloid cells(Jmjd3f/fLyz2cre+)identified that the STING gene(Tmem173)is regulated by JmJD3 in wound *** limits inflammatory cytokine production by wound macrophages during ***,in diabetic mice,its role changes to limit wound repair and enhance *** finding is important since STING is associated with chronic inflammation,and we found STING to be elevated in human and murine diabetic wound macrophages at late time ***,we demonstrate that macrophage-specific,nanoparticle inhibition of JmJD3 in diabetic wounds significantly improves diabetic wound repair by decreasing inflammatory cytokines and *** together,this work highlights the central role of JmJD3 in tissue repair and identifies cell-specific targeting as a viable therapeutic strategy for nonhealing diabetic wounds.

Retrospective analysis of hepatitis c infected patients treated through an integrated care model

AIm To determine if our health system's integrated model reflects sustained virologic response(SVR) outcomes similar to those in clinical trial data, maximizes adherence, and averts drug *** Subjects with chronic hepatitis c had their medical records reviewed from November 1st, 2014 through march 1st, 2016. Patients eligible for treatment were entered into an integrated care model therapy algorithm. The primary outcome was SVR12 based on intention to treat(ITT) analysis. Inclusion criteria consisted of both treatment na?ve and experienced patients over the age of 18 who were at least twelve weeks post-therapy completion with any genotype(GT) or mETAVIR score. Secondary outcomes included adherence, adverse events, and number of drug interaction *** At the time of analysis, 133 patients had reached twelve weeks post therapy with ITT. In the ITT analysis 70 patients were GT 1a, 26 GT 1b, 23 could not be differentiated between GT 1a or 1b, 8 GT 2, 4 GT 3, and 2 patients with multiple genotypes. The ITT treatment regimens consisted of 97 sofosbuvir(SOF)/ledipasvir(LDV), 8 SOF/LDV and ribavirin(RBV), 7 SOFand Simeprevir(SmV), 6 3D and RBV, 1 3D, 11 SOF and RBV, and 1 SOF, peg interferon alpha, and RBV. The overall SVR12 rate was 93% in the ITT analysis with a total of 6 patients relapsing. In patients with cirrhosis, 89% obtained SVR12. All 33 patients who were previous treatment failures achieved SVR12. Drug-drug interactions were identified in 56.4% of our patient population, 69 of which required interventions made by the pharmacist. The most common side effects were fatigue(41.4%), headache(28.6%), nausea(18.1%), and diarrhea(8.3%). mgcl_(2)–Nacl–Kcl salts mixture shows great potential as a high-temperature(>700°c)thermal energy storage material in next-generation concentrated solar power *** mg into molten mgcl_(2)–Nacl–Kcl salt as a corrosion inhibitor is one of the most effective and cost-effective methods to mitigate the molten salt corrosion of commercial Fe–cr–Ni ***,it is found in this work that both stainless steel 310 and Incoloy 800H samples were severely corroded after 500 h immersion test at 700°c when the alloy samples directly contacted with the over-added mg in the liquid *** corrosion attack is different from the classical impurity-driven corrosion in molten chloride salts found in previous *** analysis indicates that Ni preferentially leaches out of alloy matrix due to the tendency to form mgNi_(2)/mg_(2)Ni *** Ni-depletion leads to the formation of a porous corrosion layer on both alloys,with the thickness around 204μm(stainless steel 310)and 1300μm(Incoloy 800H),*** results suggest that direct contact of liquid mg with Ni-containing alloys should be avoided during using mg as a corrosion inhibitor for mgcl_(2)–Nacl–Kcl or other chlorides for high temperature heat storage and transfer.

Improvement in the osmoregulation capacity via nutritional supplies is vitally important in shrimp *** effects of dietary protein levels on the osmoregulation capacity of the Pacific white shrimp(***) were *** involved an examination of growth performance,glutamate dehydrogenase(GDH) and Na+-K+ ATPase mRNA expression,,and GDH activity in muscles and *** experimental diets were formulated,containing 25%,40%,and 50% dietary protein,and fed to the shrimp at a salinity of *** 20 days,no significant difference was observed in weight gain,though GDH and Na+-K+ ATPase gene expression and GDH activity increased with higher dietary protein ***,shrimp fed diets with 25% and 50% dietary protein were transferred into tanks with salinities of 38 and 5,respectively,and sampled at weeks 1 and *** fed with 40% protein at 25 in salinity(optimal conditions) were used as a *** of the salinities,shrimp fed with 50% dietary protein had significantly higher growth performance than other diets;no significant differences were found in comparison with the *** fed with 25% dietary protein and maintained at salinities of 38 and 5 had significantly lower weight gain values after 2 *** salinity change also stimulated the hepatosomatic index,which increased in the first week and then recovered to a relatively normal level,as in the control,after 2 *** findings indicate that in white shrimp,the specific protein nutrient and energy demands related to ambient salinity change are associated with protein *** dietary protein level could improve the osmoregulation capacity of *** with more energy resources allocated to GDH activity and expression.

The International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor （ITER） feeder procurement is now well underway. The feeder design has been improved by the feeder teams at the ITER Organization （IO） and the Institute of Plasma Physics, chinese Academy of Sciences （ASIPP） in the last 2 years along with analyses and qualification activities. The feeder design is being progressively finalized. In addition, the preparation of qualification and manufacturing are well scheduled at ASIPP. This paper mainly presents the design, the overview of manufacturing and the status of integration on the ITER magnet feeders.
