In this study,5μmol·L^(-1)abscisic acid(ABA)and gibberellic acid(GA3)were used to study the effect of both growth regulators on the morphological parameters and pigment composition of Andrographis *** growth regulators were applied by means of foliar spray during morning *** treatment inhibited the growth of the stem and internodal length when compared with control,whereas GA3 treatment increased the plant height and internodal *** total number of leaves per plant decreased in the ABA-treated plants,but GA3 treatment increased the total number of leaves when compared with the *** growth regulators(ABA and GA3)showed increased leaf *** and GA3 treatments slightly decreased the total root growth at all the stages of *** growth regulator treatments increased the whole plant fresh and dry weight at all stages of *** enhanced the fresh and dry weight to a larger extent when compared with *** increase in the total chlorophyll content was recorded in ABA and GA3 *** chlorophyll-a,chlorophyll-b,and carotenoids were increased by ABA and GA3 treatments when compared with the control *** xanthophylls and anthocyanin content were increased with ABA and GA3 treatments in *** plants.

changes in the sucrose metabolism of cur-cuma longa *** were studied under treatment with different triazole compounds viz.,triadimefon(TDM)and propiconazole(PcZ).Plants were treated with TDM at 15mg/L and PcZ at 10mg/L separately by soil drenching on 80,110,and 140 days after planting(DAP).The plants were harvested randomly on 90,120,and 150DAP to determine the effect of both the triazoles on sucrose metabolizing enzymes and phenol *** sucrose metabolism was studied by analyzing sucrose metaboliz-ing enzymes like sucrose synthase and sucrose phosphate *** the analyses were assayed in leaves and tubers of both control and treated *** was found that both of the triazole compounds had profound effects on these parameters.

Enhanced Water Quality control Based on Predictive Optimization for Smart Fish Farming

The requirement for high-quality seafood is a global challenge in today’s world due to climate change and natural resource *** of Things(IoT)based Modern fish farming systems can significantly optimize seafood production by minimizing resource utilization and improving healthy fish *** objective requires intensive monitoring,prediction,and control by optimizing leading factors that impact fish growth,including temperature,the potential of hydrogen(pH),water level,and feeding *** paper proposes the IoT based predictive optimization approach for efficient control and energy utilization in smart fish *** proposed fish farm control mechanism has a predictive optimization to deal with water quality control and efficient energy consumption *** farm indoor and outdoor values are applied to predict the water quality parameters,whereas a novel objective function is proposed to achieve an optimal fish growth environment based on predicted *** logic control is utilized to calculate control parameters for IoT actuators based on predictive optimal water quality parameters by minimizing energy *** evaluate the efficiency of the proposed system,the overall approach has been deployed to the fish tank as a case study,and a number of experiments have been carried *** results show that the predictive optimization module allowed the water quality parameters to be maintained at the optimal level with nearly 30%of energy efficiency at the maximum actuator control rate compared with other control levels.

Laminar Forced convection from a Rotating Horizontal cylinder in cross Flow

The influence of non-dimensional rotational velocity, flow Reynolds number and Prandtl number of the fluid on laminar forced convection from a rotating horizontal cylinder subject to constant heat flux boundary condition is numerically investigated. The numerical simulations have been conducted using commercial computational Fluid Dynamics package cFX available in ANSYS Workbench 14. Results are presented for the non-dimensional rotational velocity α ranging from 0 to 4, flow Reynolds number from 25 to 40 and Prandtl number of the fluid from 0.7 to 5.4. The rotational effects results in reduction in heat transfer compared to heat transfer from stationary heated cylinder due to thickening of boundary layer as consequence of the rotation of the cylinder. Heat transfer rate increases with increase in Prandtl number of the fluid.

Marine mycoflora of south India with special emphasis on Lignicolous Marine Fungi

A study dealing with the marine fungi associated with decaying wood samples in the brackish water mangrove ecosystem and shoreline ecosystem was carried out in south India.A total of 19 marine fungi were isolated from the brackish water mangrove *** included 13 Ascomycetes,one Basidiomycete and five Mitosporic *** terms of percent frequency of occurrence,the most frequent species obtained from the brackishwater were the Lignincola longirostris(16.60%)and Savoryella lignicola(12.09%).Nine species were found *** species were occasionally *** mangrovei,Aniptodera mangrovei and Halosarpheia marina were the rare species *** average number of isolates per wood sample was 1.53.A total of 27 marine fungi including 15 ascomycetes,one basidiomycete and ten mitosporic fungi were recorded from the shoreline *** terms of percent frequency of occurrence,the most frequent species obtained from Kanyakumari were the Arenariomyces trifurcates(13.66%),corollospora maritima(12.44%),and cirrenalia pygmea(10.98%).Seven species were found *** species were occasionally *** species were found to be rare in *** average number of isolates per wood sample was 1.21.

The ability of triadimefon （TDM）, a triazolic fungicide, to alter the biochemical constituents and thereby minimizing the days required for sprouting in white yam （Dioscorea rotundata Poir.） tubers during storage under （30±2） ℃ in the dark, was studied. TDM at 20 mg/L was given to tubers by dipping the tubers in treatment solution containing 20 mg/L TDM on 10, 25 and 40 d after storage （DAS）. Starch, sugars, protein, amino acid contents as well as protease and a-amylase activities were estimated on 15, 30 and 45 DAS from two physiological regions viz., apical and basal regions of the tubers. In normal conditions （control） sprouting occurred on 70 to 80 DAS. The starch content decreased, while protein, amino acid, sugar contents and protease and a-amylase activities were increased due to TDM treatment and led to early sprouting.

目的研究抗氧化剂和吲哚生物碱在2种长春花(粉红色和白色)植株不同部位的分布。方法通过检测无酶活性的抗氧化分子含量和抗氧化酶活性测定抗氧化能力。无酶活性的抗氧化分子包括抗坏血酸、α-生育酚和还原型谷胱甘肽。抗氧化酶包括超氧化物歧化酶、抗坏血酸过氧化物酶、过氧化氢酶、过氧化物酶和多酚氧化酶。所用样品为从田间收集到的植株的根、茎、叶、花和豆荚。结果与其他部位比较,根和茎中抗氧化剂的含量较高,花和豆荚中含量最低。粉红色长春花中抗氧化剂和生物碱含量较高。叶中抗氧化酶的活性较高,但吲哚生物碱的含量在粉红色长春花的根中较高。结论对于抗氧化剂和生物碱含量而言,粉红色长春花更适合培养。

Studying the Preheating Effect on certain Mechanical Properties of the coating Layer by Vacuum Ion Plasma coating

The present paper is concerned with the study of two main points: clarifying the effect of preheating on the surface microscopic shape of coating layer by vacuum ion plasma coating technology and on the amount of micro-hardness besides studying the properties of the surfaces that concern the parts of the mechanical system because of their direct and active effect on the machine efficient performance and machine life in general and their important effect on the product efficiency. As known, the instruments that measure the traditional roughness give us numbers and charts that, to a certain extent, describe the actual state of the surface shape within limited range of accuracy, but it has become necessary to find more accurate methods that suit the development obtained in industry, namely, the important applications like aircraft missiles and others. One of the suggested solutions for this is to get benefit of average fractal dimension for the surface by the help of the new technologies which, in return, help in the possibility to determine the surface state with high accuracy that matches the importance of application.

cOVIDX: computer-aided diagnosis of cOVID-19 and its severity prediction with raw digital chest X-ray scans

Background: coronavirus disease (cOVID-19) is a contagious infection caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-cOV-2) and it has infected and killed millions of people across the ***: In the absence or inadequate provision of therapeutic treatments of cOVID-19 and the limited convenience of diagnostic techniques, there is a necessity for some alternate spontaneous screening systems that can easily be used by the physicians to rapidly recognize and isolate the infected patients to circumvent onward surge. A chest X-ray (cXR) image can effortlessly be used as a substitute modality to diagnose the ***: In this study, we present an automatic cOVID-19 diagnostic and severity prediction system (cOVIDX) that uses deep feature maps of cXR images along with classical machine learning algorithms to identify cOVID-19 and forecast its severity. The proposed system uses a three-phase classification approach (healthy vs unhealthy, cOVID-19 vs pneumonia, and cOVID-19 severity) using different conventional supervised classification ***: We evaluated cOVIDX through 10-fold cross-validation, by using an external validation dataset, and also in a real setting by involving an experienced radiologist. In all the adopted evaluation settings, cOVIDX showed strong generalization power and outperforms all the prevailing state-of-the-art methods designed for this ***: Our proposed method (cOVIDX), with vivid performance in cOVID-19 diagnosis and its severity prediction, can be used as an aiding tool for clinical physicians and radiologists in the diagnosis and follow-up studies of cOVID-19 infected ***: We made cOVIDX easily accessible through a cloud-based webserver and python code available at https://***/view/wajidarshad/software and https://***/wajidarshad/covidx, respectively.
