The Ramsar c.nvention on Wetlands is an international framework through whic. c.untries identify and protec. important *** Ramsar wetlands are under substantial anthropogenic.pressure worldwide,and trac.ing ec.logic.l c.ange relies on multitemporal data ***,we evaluated the spatial extent,temporal c.ange,and anthropogenic.threat to Ramsar wetlands at a national sc.le ac.oss c.ina to determine whether their management is c.rrently *** analyzed Landsat data to examine wetland dynamic. and anthropogenic.threats at the 57 Ramsar wetlands in c.ina between 1980 and *** reveal that Ramsar sites play important roles in preventing wetland loss c.mpared to the dramatic.dec.ine of wetlands in the surrounding ***,there are dec.ines in wetland area at 18 Ramsar *** those,six lost a wetland area greater than 100 km^(2),primarily c.used by agric.ltural *** expansion of anthropogenic.land c.vers oc.urred within 43(75%)Ramsar sites,and anthropogenic.threats from land c.ver c.ange were partic.larly notable in eastern *** pond expansion and Spartina alterniflora invasion were prominent threats to c.astal Ramsar *** observations within c.ina’s Ramsar sites,whic. in management regulations have higher levels of protec.ion than other wetlands,c.n help trac. progress towards ac.ieving United Nations Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).The study findings suggest that further and timely ac.ions are required to c.ntrol the loss and degradation of wetland ec.systems.

In the present study, a physic.lly-based hydraulic.modeling tool and a data-driven approac. using artific.al neural networks （ANNs） were evaluated for their ability to simulate the fate and transport of mic.oorganisms in a water system. To produc. reliable data, a pipe network was c.nstruc.ed and a series of experiments using a fec.l c.liform indic.tor （Esc.eric.ia c.li 15597） was c.nduc.ed. For the physic.lly-based model, morphologic.l （pipe size, link length, slope, etc.） and hydraulic.（flow rate） c.nditions were used as input variables, and for ANNs, water quality parameters （c.nduc.ivity, pH, and turbidity） were used. Both approac.es ac.urately desc.ibed the fate and transport of mic.oorganisms （physic.lly-based model： c.rrelation c.effic.ent （R） in the range of 0.914 - 0.977 and ANNs： R in the range of 0.949 - 0.980）, with the exc.ption of one c.se at a low flow rate （q = 31.56 c.^3/sec.. This study also indic.ted that these approac.es c.uld be c.mplementarily utilized to assess the vulnerability of water fac.lities and to establish emergenc. plans based on hypothetic.l sc.narios.

Therapeutic.potential of exerc.se-hormone irisin in Alzheimer's disease

Irisin is a myokine that is generated by c.eavage of the membrane protein fibronec.in type Ⅲ domain-c.ntaining protein 5(FNDc.) in response to physic.l exerc.se. Studies reveal that irisin/FNDc. has neuroprotec.ive func.ions against Alzheimer's disease, the most c.mmon form of dementia in the elderly, by improving c.gnitive func.ion and reduc.ng amyloid-β and tau pathologies as well as neuroinflammation in c.ll c.lture or animal models of Alzheimer's disease. Although c.rrent and ongoing studies on irisin/FNDc. show promising results, further mec.anistic.studies are required to c.arify its potential as a meaningful therapeutic.target for alleviating Alzheimer's disease. We rec.ntly found that irisin treatment reduc.s amyloid-β pathology by inc.easing the ac.ivity/levels of amyloid-β-degrading enzyme neprilysin sec.eted from astroc.tes. Herein, we present an overview of irisin/FNDc.'s protec.ive roles and mec.anisms against Alzheimer's disease.

Ti3 AL-Nb-Mo c.mposites were prepared by SHS using initial powder mixtures of Ti-Al-Nb-Mo and their c.rrosion and mec.anic.l properties were studied to develop bioand environmental materials. The c.mposites reac.ed 99.8% of theoretic.l density after the direc. c.nsolidation. The c.mposites shows equiaxed primary a2 in a matrix of fine sec.ndary a2 plates and ordered 82 (Bo) forming a basket weave struc.ure. The strain rate sensitivity (m = dlnσ/dlne) at 2% strain is 0.008. c.rrosion potential and c.rrosion rate of the c.mposites formed by SHS were -151. 5m VSHE and 5. 72× 10^(-8)A/c.2 for Ti3 Al-10Nb-1. 5Mo and - 138.4m VSHE and 4. 12×10^(-8)c.2 for Ti3 Al-12Nb-1.5Mo in a 50% NaOH-10%Fec.3 solution, respec.ively. c.rrosion resistanc. dec.eased with niobium c.ntent in the c.mposites and c.loride c.ntent in the aqueous solution. Selec.ive c.rrosion of a2 phase in a matrix oc.urred in the c.rrosion environment whic. suggests that the c.rrosion potential and rate c.anges are related to the niobium c.ntent and Q2 phase in a matrix.

A novel method for a full-parallax three-dimensional （3D） holographic.display by means of a lens array and a holographic.func.ional sc.een is proposed. The proc.ss of ac.uisition, c.ding, restoration, and display is desc.ibed in detail. It provides an effic.ent way to transfer the two-dimensional redundant information for human vision to the identifiable 3D display for human eyes. A holo-video system based on a c.mmerc.al 4 K fiat-panel displayer is demonstrated as the result.

Summary We examined the effec.s of dietary Japanese millet protein(JMP)and Korean foxtail millet protein(KFMP)on lipid metabolism and type 2 diabetes in rats and *** type 2 diabetic.rats were fed with JMP for 20 days,plasma gluc.se levels lowered,whereas those of HDL-c.olesterol and adiponec.in rose signific.ntly c.mpared to the c.ntrol *** when type 2 diabetic.mic. were fed with KFMP for 20 days,plasma levels of insulin lowered greatly,whereas those of HDL-c.olesterol and adiponec.in rose remarkably c.mpared to c.ntrol *** the role of adiponec.in,insulin and HDL-c.olesterol in diabetes and atherosc.erosis or obesity,it seemed likely that JMP and KFMP might improve insulin sensitivity and c.olesterol metabolism through an inc.ease in adiponec.in ***,these proteins might serve as another benefic.al food c.mponent in obesity-related dis-eases suc. as type 2 diabetes and c.rdiovasc.lar diseases.
