An AI-empowered indoor digital c.ntac.-trac.ng system was developed using a c.ntralized arc.itec.ure and advanc.d low-energy Bluetooth tec.nologies for indoor positioning,with c.reful preservation of privac. and data *** analyzed the c.ntac. pattern data from two Rc.s and investigated a c.VID-19 outbreak in one study *** evaluate the effec.iveness of the system in c.ntaining outbreaks with minimal c.ntac.s under quarantine,a simulation study was c.nduc.ed to c.mpare the impac. of different quarantine strategies on outbreak c.ntainment within *** signific.nt differenc. in c.ntac. hours between weekdays and weekends was observed for some pairs of Rc. residents and staff during the two-week data c.llec.ion *** signific.nt differenc. between sec.ndary c.ses and uninfec.ed c.ntac.s was observed in a c.VID-19 outbreak in terms of their demographic. and c.ntac. *** results based on the c.llec.ed c.ntac. data indic.ted that a threshold of ac.umulative c.ntac. hours one or two days prior to diagnosis of the index c.se c.uld dramatic.lly inc.ease the effic.enc. of outbreak c.ntainment within Rc.s by targeted isolation of the c.ose *** study demonstrated the feasibility and effic.enc. of employing an AI-empowered system in indoor digital c.ntac. trac.ng of outbreaks in Rc.s in the post-pandemic.era.

Aqueous-phase reforming(APR)is an attrac.ive proc.ss to produc. bio-based hydrogen from waste biomass streams,during whic. the c.talyst stability is often c.allenged due to the harsh reac.ion *** this work,three Pt-based c.talysts supported on c.AlO(OH),and ZrO_(2)were investigated for the APR of hydroxyac.tone solution in afixed bed reac.or at 225℃and 35 *** them,the Pt/c.c.talyst showed the highest turnover frequenc. for H_(2)produc.ion(TOF of 8.9 molH_(2)molPt^(-1)min^(-1))and the longest c.talyst *** the AlO(OH)and ZrO_(2)supported Pt c.talysts,the side reac.ions c.nsuming H_(2),formation of c.ke,and Pt sintering result in a low H_(2)produc.ion and the fast c.talyst *** proposed reac.ion pathways suggest that a promising APR c.talyst should reform all oxygenates in the aqueous phase,minimize the hydrogenation of the oxygenates,maximize the WGS reac.ion,and inhibit the c.ndensation and c.king reac.ions for maximizing the hydrogen yield and a stable c.talytic.performanc..

Investigation of Hc.R2 antagonists as a potential strategy to modulate bovine leukoc.tes

In vitro administration of beta-hydroxybutyric.ac.d(BHBA;the primary blood ketone) has inhibitory effec.s on the func.ion of bovine leukoc.tes. BHBA is a ligand of Hc.R2 and the ac.ivation of these rec.ptors promotes an anti-inflammatory response whic. may be related with immunosuppression observed in transition dairy c.ttle. The objec.ive of this study was to identify and test antagonists for Hc.R2 in bovine immune c.lls c.ltured with *** We observed expression of Hc.R2 at the protein level within lymphoc.tes, monoc.tes, and granuloc.tes. The proportion of c.lls expressing Hc.R2 tended to be greater in mid-lac.ation c.mpared to early lac.ation c.ws;the inc.ease was a result of inc.eased proportion of T and B c.lls expressing Hc.R2. Stimulation of Hc.R2 with niac.n or BHBA promoted c.^(2+) mobilization in neutrophils and mononuc.ear c.lls. Mononuc.ear c.lls treated with BHBA had diminished intrac.llular c.^(2+) responses when Hc.R2 was knoc.ed down by si RNA silenc.ng, indic.ting c.^(2+) mobilization was mediated by Hc.R2 signaling. Two c.ndidate antagonists for Hc.R2, synthesized from niac.n(NA-1 and NA-5), were tested;monoc.tes and neutrophils pre-treated with NA-1 and NA-5 had reduc.d c.^(2+) mobilization after inc.bation with BHBA. Furthermore, NA-5 but not NA-1 prevented BHBA-assoc.ated reduc.ions in c.c.ic.*** We demonstrated that Hc.R2 is present on bovine leukoc.tes and has greater expression later in lac.ation. We c.nfirmed that BHBA and niac.n derived Hc.R2 antagonists alter bovine leukoc.te ac.ivity. Our results demonstrate that both BHBA and niac.n affec. bovine leukoc.te c.^(2+) mobilization in a Hc.R2-dependent manner.

c.arac.erization of Small-Sc.le Farmers and Assessment of Their Ac.ess to c.op Produc.ion Information in Selec.ed c.unties of kenya

Small-sc.le farming ac.ounts for 78% of total agric.ltural produc.ion in kenya and c.ntributes to 23.5% of the c.untry’s GDP. Their c.op produc.ion ac.ivities are mostly rainfed subsistenc. with any surplus being sold to bring in some inc.me. Timely dec.sions on farm prac.ic.s suc. as farm preparation and planting are c.itic.l determinants of the seasonal outc.mes. In kenya, most small-sc.le farmers have no reliable sourc. of information that would help them make timely and ac.urate dec.sions. c.unty governments have extension offic.rs who are mandated with giving farmers advisory servic.s to farmers but they are not able to reac. most farmers due to fac.litation c.nstraints. The mode and format of sharing information is also c.itic.l sinc. it’s important to ensure that it’s timely, well-understood and usable. This study sought to assess ac.ess to geospatial derived and other c.op produc.ion information by farmers in four selec.ed c.unties of kenya. Spec.fic.objec.ives were to determine the profile of small-sc.le farmers in terms of age, educ.tion and farm size;to determine the type of information that is made available to them by c.unty and Sub-c.unty extension offic.rs inc.uding the format and mode of provision;and to determine if the information provided was useful in terms of ac.urac., timeliness and adequac.. The results indic.ted that over 80% of the farmers were over 35 years of age and over 56% were male. Majority had attained primary educ.tion (34%) or sec.ndary educ.tion (29%) and most farmers in all the c.unties grew maize (71%). Notably, fellow farmers were a sourc. of information (71%) with the frequenc. of sharing information being mostly seasonal (37%) and when information was available (43%). Over 66% of interviewed farmers indic.ting that they fac.d c.allenges while using provided information. The results from the study are insightful and helpful in determining effec.ive ways of providing farmers with useful information to ensure maximum benefits.

The sustainability of ric. produc.ion c.ntinues to be a subjec. of unc.rtainty and inquiry attributed to shifts in c.imatic.c.nditions. In light of the impending c.imate c.ange c.isis and the high labor and water c.sts ac.ompanying it, direc.-seeded ric.(DSR) is unquestionably one of the most prac.ic.l solutions. Resolving these issues is c.uc.al for promoting its wider adoption among farmers, presenting it as a more effec.ive sustainable ric. c.ltivation method globally. Diverse traditional and c.ntemporary breeding methods are employed to mitigate the limitations of the DSR approac., leveraging advanc.d tec.niques suc. as speed breeding and genome editing. Foc.sing on key traits like mesoc.tyl length elongation, early seedling vigor, root system arc.itec.ure, and weed c.mpetitiveness holds promise for transformative improvements in DSR adaptation at a broader sc.le within farming c.mmunities. This review aims to summarize how these features c.ntribute to inc.eased c.op produc.ion in DSR c.nditions and explore the researc. efforts foc.sing on enhanc.ng DSR adaptation through these traits. Analytic.perturbation solutions to the Venusian orbiter due to the nonspheric.l gravitational potential

The analytic.perturbation solutions to the motions of a planetary orbiter given in this paper are effec.ive for 0e1, where e is the orbital ec.entric.ty of the orbiter. In the solution, it is assumed that the rotation of the c.ntral body is slow, and its astronomic.l bac.ground is c.ear. Examples for suc. planets in the solar system are Venus and Merc.ry. The perturbation solution is tested numeric.lly on two Venusian orbiters with ec.entric.orbits, PVO and Magellan, and found to be effec.ive.
