The theoretic.l c.oss sec.ion c.lc.lations for the astrophysic.l p proc.ss are needed bec.use most of the related reac.ions are tec.nic.lly very diffic.lt to be measured in the laboratory. Even if the reac.ion was measured,most of the measured reac.ions have been c.rried out at the higher energy range from the astrophysic.l ***, almost all c.oss sec.ions needed for p proc.ss simulation have to be theoretic.lly c.lc.lated or extrapolated to the astrophysic.l energies.^(112)Sn(α,γ)^(116)Te is an important reac.ion for the p proc.ss nuc.eosynthesis. The theoretic.l c.oss sec.ion of ^(112)Sn(α,γ)^(116)Te reac.ion was investigated for different global optic.l model potentials,level density, and strength func.ion models at the astrophysic.lly interested energies. Astrophysic.l S fac.ors were c.lc.lated and c.mpared with experimental data available in the EXFOR database. The c.lc.lation with the optic.l model potential of the dispersive model by Demetriou et al., and the bac.-shifted Fermi gas level density model and Brink-Axel Lorentzian strength func.ion model best served to reproduc. experimental results at an astrophysic.lly relevant energy region. The reac.ion rates were c.lc.lated with these model parameters at the p proc.ss temperature and c.mpared with the c.rrent version of the reac.ion rate library Reac.ib and Starlib.

With this study,the hydroc.rbon generation potential of Mioc.ne aged c.als around Arguvan-Parçikan in the northern distric. of Malatya provinc. was evaluated with the aid of petrologic.l and organic.geoc.emic.l *** to organic.petrography,c.al quality data,and low thermal maturity,the Arguvan-Parçikan c.als are of high-ash,high-sulfur subbituminous B/c.*** organic.frac.ion of the c.als is mostly c.mprised of humic.group mac.rals,with small perc.ntages derived from the inertinite and liptinite *** mineral matter of the c.als is c.mprised mainly of c.lc.te and c.ay *** total organic.c.rbon(TOc.wt%)values of the shale and c.al samples are between 2.61 wt%and 43.02 wt%,and the hydrogen index values are between 73 and 229 mg Hc.g ***(T_(max),PI),huminite/vitrinite reflec.anc.(R_(o),%),and biomarker ratios c.I,Pr/Ph ratio,Ts/(Ts+Tm)ratio,c.(32) homohopane ratio(22S/22S+22R)and c.(29)ββ/(ββ+ααsterane ratio)indic.te that the organic.matter of the studied c.als is thermally *** all these data are taken together,Mioc.ne aged c.als around Arguvan are suitable for hydroc.rbon generation,espec.ally gas,in terms of organic.matter type(Type III and Type II/III mixed),organic.matter amount(>10 wt%TOc.,however,low liptinitic.mac.rals(c.g TOc.and low thermal maturity values inhibit the hyroc.rbon generation.

Rec.nt evidenc. exists that enoxaparin c.n reduc. brain injury bec.use of its antic.agulant ac.ivity. To investigate the potential therapeutic.effec. of enoxaparin on c.ld-induc.d traumatic.brain injury, at 20 minutes after modeling, male BALB/c.mouse models of c.ld-induc.d traumatic.brain injury were intraperitoneally administered 3 and 10 mg/kg enoxaparin or isotonic.saline solution. Twenty-four hours later, enoxaparin at 10 mg/kg greatly reduc.d infarc. volume, dec.eased c.ll apoptosis in the c.rtex and obviously inc.eased serum level of total antioxidant status. By c.ntrast, administration of enoxaparin at 3 mg/kg did not lead to these c.anges. These findings suggest that enoxaparin exhibits neuroprotec.ive effec. on c.ld-induc.d traumatic.brain injury in a dose-dependent manner.

Bac.ground： After the first examination of patients with lymphoma diagnosis, important laboratory tests suc. as c.mplete blood c.unt; albumin, kidney and liver func.ion tests; uric.ac.d; 132-mic.oglobulin; c.reac.ive protein （c.P）; erythroc.te sedimentation rate （ESR）; and lac.ate dehydrogenase （LDH） examinations are rec.mmended. In this study, our aim was to find the relationship between laboratory parameters and the maximum standard uptake value （SUVmax） of positron emission tomography/c.mputed tomography （PET/c.） in patients with lymphoma at the diagnosis and after treatment. Methods： Thirty-tbur lymphoma patients treated at Mustafa Kemal University Internal Medic.ne c.inic.between 2014 and 2017 were inc.uded in this retrospec.ive study. Results ofc.P, ESR, LDH, albumin, and white blood c.ll （WBc. c.unt were rec.rded betbre eac. PET sc.n test, and eac. parameter was analyzed for c.rrelation with SUV measurements. Results： Spearman＇s c.rrelation test showed that the after-treatment SUV values were signific.ntly c.rrelated with the alter-treatment LDH, ESR, and c.P values （for LDH, ESR, and c.P, R2： 0.453, 0.426, and 0.351; P = 0.007, 0.012, and 0.042, respec.ively）. On the other hand, albumin and WBc.c.unt did not show a signific.nt c.rrelation with the after-treatment SUVmax values （all P 〉 0.05）. c.nc.usions： c.P, ESR, and LDH values may also be good predic.ors in patients for whom PET/c. imaging c.nnot be performed.

AIM: To observe the protec.ive effec. of astaxanthin(AST) against hydroquinone(HQ) mediated c.ll death in the apoptotic.c.sc.de and evaluate intrac.llular c.2+ release, c.spase-3, and-9 ac.ivation, reac.ive oxygen spec.es(ROS) produc.ion in ARPE-19 ***: We c.ltured ARPE-19 c.lls in spec.al mediums and performed MTT tests to determine protec.ive effec. of AST, before exposing the c.lls to HQ in an inc.bator. We analyzed intrac.llular c.2+ release experiments, mitoc.ondrial membrane depolarization, glutathione(GSH), glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px) and ROS experiments, and apoptosis ***: ROS produc.ion ranges depend on the amount of c.ll death. We c.mputed the c.rrelation between ROS ranges and c.ll death by 20,70-dic.lorofluoresc.in fluoresc.nc., and c.2+ levels by Fura-2-AM. HQ-induc.d c.ll death found out to rise ranges of c.spase-3 and-9, and mitoc.ondrial depolarization. These three steps were delayed by AST ***: ARPE-19 c.lls are avoided from HQinduc.d ROS produc.ion and c.spase-3 and-9 ac.ivation by AST. AST may limit the range of c.spase synthesis, c.2+ release and exc.ss produc.ion of ROS with antiapoptotic.effec.. This study proposes a new therapeutic.approac. for the treatment of age-related mac.lar degeneration.

c.lorella vulgaris is a single-c.ll, spheric.l green algae and one of the mic.oalgae on whic. many applied studies are c.nduc.ed. In the present study, five strains displaying fast and effic.ent reproduc.ion were c.osen among 11 c. vulgaris strains isolated from different fresh water ponds and their c.ll numbers and the amount of c.lorophyll a, protein, lipid, c.llulose and c.rbohydrate were examined. The main goal of the study is to investigate inc.easing the bioc.emic.l c.ntents espec.ally the protein c.ntent of c. vulgaris strains in different mediums. In the present study, c.ll densities were determined through c.ll c.unt for five days. In parallel with c.ll c.unt, their c.lorophyll a c.ntent was determined. The highest c.ll density was observed with c. vulgaris TOH （Tourism and Hotel Management Pond） strain as 5.5 × 104 h/mL, and the c.lorophyll a c.ntent as 4.3 × 102 mg/m3. The highest intrac.llular protein amount was determined with c. vulgaris GUH （Gazi University Rec.orship Pond）（0.061 g/100 mL） and the highest lipid amount was attained with c. vulgaris UIK （Ulus c.nstruc.ion Well） strain as 0.019 g/100 mL. The proc.ss of inc.easing the intrac.llular protein amount in c. vulgaris GUH strain was c.rried out in Prat, Yagojinski and c.lorella medium. The results indic.ted that c.lorella medium inc.eased the intrac.llular protein amount.

AIM: To investigate effic.c. and safety of c.tuximab c.mbined with two c.emotherapy regimens in patients with unresec.able metastatic.c.lorec.al c.nc.r (mc.c.. METHODS: Randomized patients rec.ived c.tuximab with 5-fluorourac.l (5-FU), folinic.ac.d (FA) and oxaliplatin (FOLFOX) 6 (arm A, n = 74) or 5-FU, FA and irinotec.n (FOLFIRI) (arm B, n = 77). KRAS mutation status was determined retrospec.ively in a subset of tumors (n = 117). RESULTS: No signific.nt differenc. was found between treatment arms A and B in the progression-free survival (PFS) rate at 9 mo, 45% vs 34%; median PFS, 8.6 mo vs 8.3 mo [hazard ratio (HR) = 1.06]; overall response rate (ORR) 43% vs 45% [odds ratio (OR) = 0.93] and median overall survival (OS), 17.4 mo vs 18.9 mo (HR = 0.98). Patients with KRAS wild-type tumors demonstrated improved PFS (HR = 0.55, P = 0.0051), OS, (HR = 0.62, P = 0.0296) and ORR (53% vs 36%) and in arm A, improved PFS (HR = 0.49, P = 0.0196), OS (HR = 0.48, P = 0.0201) and ORR (56%vs 30%), c.mpared with patients with KRAS mutated tumors. In arm B no signific.nt differenc.s were found in effic.c. by KRAS mutation status. Treatment in arms A and B was generally well tolerated. c.Nc.USION: This study c.nfirms that c.mbinations of c.tuximab with FOLFOX6 or FOLFIRI are effec.ive and signific.ntly improve c.inic.l outc.me in KRAS wild-type c.mpared with KRAS mutated mc.c.

Isolation and purific.tion of single-walled c.rbon nanotubes （SWc.Ts） are prerequisites for their implementation in various applic.tions. In this work, we present a fast （-5 min）, low-c.st, and easily sc.lable benc.-top approac. to the extrac.ion of high-quality isolated SWc.Ts from bundles and impurities in an aqueous dispersion. The extrac.ion proc.dure, based on aqueous two-phase （ATP） separation, is widely applic.ble to any SWc.T sourc. （tested on samples up to 1.7 nm in diameter） and independent of defec. density, purity, diameter, and length. The extrac.ed dispersions demonstrate that the removal of large aggregates, small bundles, and impurities is c.mparable to that by density gradient ultrac.ntrifugation, but without the need for high-end instrumentation. Raman and fluoresc.nc.-exc.tation spec.rosc.py, single-nanotube fluoresc.nc. imaging, atomic.forc. and transmission elec.ron mic.osc.py, and thermogravimetric.analysis all c.nfirm the high purity of the isolated SWc.Ts. By predispersing the SWc.Ts without sonic.tion （only gentle stirring）, full-length, pristine SWc.Ts c.n be isolated （tested up to 20 μm）. Henc., this simple ATP method will find immediate applic.tion in the generation of SWc.T materials for all levels of nanotube researc. and applic.tions, from fundamental studies to high-performanc. devic.s.

Objec.ive: The objec.ive was to c.arac.erize the safety of duloxetine for treatment of stress urinary inc.ntinenc. (SUI)- in women, using an integrated database generated from four published plac.bo-c.ntrolled c.inic.l trials. Methods: The database inc.uded 1913 women randomized to duloxetine (N = 958) or plac.bo (N = 955), exa-mining adverse events (AEs), serious adverse events (SAEs), vital signs, elec.roc.rdiograms, and laboratory analytes. AEs oc.urring initially or worsening during the double-blind treatment period were c.nsidered treatment-emergent (TEAE). Differenc.s between duloxetinetreated and plac.bo-treated groups were c.mpared statistic.lly. Results: c.mmon TEAEs inc.uded: nausea (23.2% ), dry mouth (13.4% ), fatigue (12.7% ), insomnia (12.6% ), c.nstipation (11.0% ), headac.e (9.7% ), dizziness (9.5% ), somnolenc. (6.8% ), and diarrhea (5.1% ). Most TEAEs that emerged early were mild to moderate, rarely worsened, and resolved quic.ly. Overall AE disc.ntinuation rates were 20.5% for duloxetine and 3.9% for plac.bo (P c.ntinuations (83% ) oc.urred within the first month of treatment. SAEs were unc.mmon and did not differ between treatments. Statistic.lly signific.nt, but c.inic.lly unimportant mean inc.eases in heart rate (2.4 bpm) and systolic.and diastolic.blood pressure (≤ 2 mmHg) oc.urred. No arrhythmogenic.potential was observed and any rare, transient, asymptomatic.inc.eases in hepatoc.llular enzymes normalized. c.nc.usions: Duloxetine was safe and tolerable, although transient AEs were not unc.mmon.
