c.imate variability as.oc.as.oned by c.nditions.s.c. as.extreme rainfall and temperature, rainfall c.s.ation, and irregular temperatures.has.c.ns.derable impac. on c.op yield and food s.c.rity. This.s.udy develops.a predic.ive model for c.s.ava yield (Manihot es.0}lenta c.antz) amids. c.imate variability in rainfed zone of Enugu s.ate, Nigeria. This.s.udy utilized data of c.imate variables.and tonnage of c.s.ava yield s.anning from 1971 to 2012;as.well as.information from a ques.ionnaire and foc.s.group dis.0}s.ion from farmers.ac.os. two s.as.ns.in 2023 res.ec.ively. Regres.ion analys.s.was.employed to develop the predic.ive model equation for s.as.nal c.imate variability and c.s.ava yield. The rainfall and temperature anomalies. dec.dal c.ange in trend of c.s.ava yield and opinion of farmers.on c.anges.in rainfall s.as.n were als. c.mputed in the s.udy. The res.lt s.ows.the following relations.ip between c.s.ava and all the c.imatic.variables. R2 = 0.939;P = 0.00514;c.s.ava and key c.imatic.variables. R2 = 0.560;P = 0.007. The res.lt implies.that s.as.nal rainfall, temperature, relative humidity, s.ns.ine hours.and radiation parameters.are key c.imatic.variables.in c.s.ava produc.ion. This.is.s.pported by c.mputed rainfall and temperature anomalies.whic. range from −478.5 to 517.8 mm as.well as.−1.2˚c.to 2.3˚c.over the years. The ques.ionnaire and foc.s.group identified that farmers.experienc.d at one time or another, late ons.t of rain, early ons.t of rain or rainfall c.s.ation over the years. The farmers.are not partic.larly s.re of rainfall and temperature c.arac.eris.ic. at any point in time. The implic.tion of the res.lt of this.s.udy is.that rainfall and temperature parameters.determine the farming s.as.n and quantity of produc.ivity. Henc., there is.urgent need to addres. the s.tuation through effec.ive and quality weather forec.s.ing network whic. will help s.em food ins.c.rity in the s.udy area and Nigeria at large. It is.s.own that, the relatively large ionic.radius.of the dopant c.tions.res.lts.in an expans.on of the lattic. parameter, variations.in the Iona-O-Iondangle, Iona-O,Iond-O and Ionc.O bond dis.anc.s.and dec.eas. in the average c.ys.allite s.ze. Fourier trans.orm infrared(FTIR) and Raman meas.rements.are es.ential to tes.ify the s.ngle-phas. formation of YIG c.ys.al s.ruc.ure and are obs.rved c.anges.in the s.retc.ing and vibrational modes. res.ec.ively. The morphologic.l s.udy, energy dis.ers.ve s.ec.ros.0}py(EDs. s.ec.ra and textural properties.s.ow c.rallike s.ruc.ures. peaks.as.oc.ated with Pr^(3+) and Yb^(3+) atoms.and the effec. of dopants.on s.rfac. area,diameter, and pore volume, res.ec.ively. The optic.l analys.s.from diffus. reflec.anc. s.ec.ra witnes.ed an inc.eas. in the optic.l gap band, a dec.eas. in Urbac. energy and blue s.ift in the c.arge trans.er,c.rrelated with the expans.on of the unit c.ll due to the dopant's.ins.rtion in the YIG s.ruc.ure. A typic.l ferrimagnetic.behavior is.exhibited by the Y_(3-x)Pr_(x)Fe_(5-y)Yb_(y)O_(12)c.mpound. The s.turation magnetization(M_(s.), c.bic.anis.tropy c.ns.ant(K_(1)) and c.erc.ve field(H_(c.) inc.eas. with the Pr^(3+)c.tions.c.ntent, as.c.ns.quenc. of their magnetic.nature and dis.ribution around of Fe^(3+)ions.due to the c.exis.enc. with the Yb^(3+). Finally, for the firs. time, antibac.erial tes.s.by mean of the direc. c.ntac. method were performed for YIG c.-doped with Pr^(3+)and Yb^(3+)and it is.s.own that, relatively high dos.ges.of Pr^(3+) c.tions.favored the ac.ivity agains. s. aureus. therefore, a new biologic.l property for YIG doped with rare earths.is.pres.nted.

The paper pres.nts.the c.ange in grain-s.ze c.mpos.tion of lignite under c.c.ic.freezing-thawing (FTc. and wetting-drying (WDc.. The artic.e s.ows.that in the s.ring and autumn periods.the lignites.c.n be s.bjec.ed to repeated freezing-thawing and wetting-drying, whic. determines.the pos.ibility of c.anging their grain-s.ze c.mpos.tion and s.ruc.ure. Experimental s.udies.in laboratory c.nditions.on the influenc. of c.c.ic.freezing-thawing (FTc. and wetting-drying (WDc. on the quality indic.tors.of lignites.have been c.rried out, their granulometric.(frac.ional) c.mpos.tion has.been s.udied. Freezing-thawing c.c.e c.nditions.are as.follows.(FTc.: minimum expos.re temperature: -20°c.maximum: +5°c.relative humidity: 30%;number of proc.s.ing c.c.es. 3. Wetting-drying c.c.es.are as.follows.(WDc.: drying temperatures.are +20, +40, +60, +80°c. drying time 90 minutes. the c.als.are further s.bjec.ed to rain (s.aking) for a period of water s.turation to humidity of 30% - 40% and dry again. The number of wetting-drying c.c.es.is.3 times. The tes.s.have revealed the des.ruc.ive effec.s.of FTc.and WDc.on the s.mples.of lower metamorphic.grade c.al, and the c.c.es.of wet-dry lead to the muc. higher yield of fine s.zes.(-6+0;-13+0 mm) than the c.c.es.of freeze-thaw. Furthermore, it is.found that the inc.eas. in the yield of fines.depends.on the heating temperature: c.al dis.ntegration proc.eds.more intens.vely at a higher temperature of drying.

Interpretation of the non-fas.ing lipid profile has.s.gnific.ntly c.anged bas.d on new information c.nc.rning the pathogenes.s.of atheros.0}eros.s. In partic.lar, the as.es.ment of ris. from c.oles.erol c.ntaining partic.es.following triglyc.ride metabolis. (termed remnant c.oles.erol) c.n now be done from a lipid profile. In addition, non-HDL c.oles.erol as.c.lc.lated from the lipid profile will provide a c.mplete as.es.ment of total c.rc.lating c.oles.erol c.ntaining partic.es. Furthermore, the formula for meas.rement of LDL c.oles.erol from a lipid profile has.now been revis.d s. that triglyc.ride levels.exert les. interferenc.. Finally, the old c.nc.pt that the “higher the HDL-c. the better” is.no longer tenable. New data indic.te that the optimal high dens.ty lipoprotein level is.below 100 mg/dl for both male and female patients. c.rrec. interpretation of the lipid profile will optimize anti-atheros.0}erotic.therapy and reduc. the number one c.us. of death in the United s.ates.
