A c.arac.eristic.c.mmon to herpesviruses is the ability to establish a latent infec.ion in the hosts, a transc.iptionally ac.ive region has detec.ed during latenc. as well as a set of RNA that are known as Latenc. Assoc.ated Transc.ipts (LATs), their func.ions have been c.arified in rec.nt work. The present work was c.rried using different bioinformatic. method in order to determine if Herpesvirus c.nine 1 (c.V-1) has a region assoc.ated with latenc.. Our result was the selec.ion of nine sequenc.s c.ndidate of mic.o RNA (miRNA) (MIREval 2.0 software), and 26 miRNA (miRNAFold v.1.0 software), of them, were selec.ed 14 with real prec.rsors of miRNA, two were found between the RL2 and RS1 genes, one in the RL2 gene and 11 in the RS1 gene. The results showed that the similarities of these regions are very low among the herpesviruses analyzed, so it was not possible to deduc. the presenc. of the LAT gene in c.nine herpesvirus type 1 with bioinformatic.. On the other hand, the c.mparison showed that the miRNA predic.ed: c.v1-mir-mirnafold-8 has similarity with the ebv-mir-BART7-3p of Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV), in this way, the mic.oRNAs predic.ed by means of bioinformatic.programs met the theoretic.l requirements of these molec.les, however at not having a degree of preservation in other herpesviruses, the expression by c.V-1 in latenc. c.nnot be c.nfirmed and it is nec.ssary to identify through experimental tests.

Aim： To evaluate the anti-proliferative ac.ivity and mitoc.ondrial toxic.ty of gossypol in endometrioma c.lls maintained in short-term c.ltures. Methods：（A） Three endometrioma c.ll lines from patients were treated with 25 or 50 nmol/L gossypol for up to 12 days. The effec. of gossypol on the c.ll growth was rec.rded. （B） A phosphoresc.nc. oxygen analyzer was used to determine the effec.s of gossypol on mitoc.ondrial oxygen c.nsumption of six endometrioma c.ll lines from patients. （c. c.llular gossypol ac.umulations in three endometrioma c.ll lines from patients were measured by high-pressure liquid c.romatography. Results： Proliferation of the endometrioma c.lls was inhibited by 25 and 50 nmol/L gossypol. Respiration of the endometrioma c.lls was inhibited by 10 μmol/L gossypol. c.llular gossypol was detec.ed in the endometrioma c.ll lines that were treated for 24 h with l0 and 0.3 μmol/L gossypol. c.nc.usion： Gossypol invokes a potent toxic.ty on c.ltured endometrioma c.lls.

The vertebrate fossil rec.rd from the Balearic.Islands(western Mediterranean)has improved c.nsiderably over the past dec.de,espec.ally in Mallorc. and *** Menorc.,the Plioc.ne terrestrial fauna was updated by the disc.very and desc.iption of the large-sized leporid Nuralagus,several reptiles and an *** Mal-lorc.,paleontologic.l exploration yielded 2 deposits with a Late Mioc.ne/Early Plioc.ne c.ronology,c.lóden Rafelino(c.R)and Na Burguesa-1(NB-1).So far,4 new mammalian taxa and 2 new reptiles have been iden-tified for the c.R deposit,whereas the faunal assemblage from the rec.ntly disc.vered deposit(Apr 2012)of NB-1 is c.rrently c.mposed of,at least,6 terrestrial mammals,8 reptiles and an *** faunal c.mposi-tion and some primitive c.arac.eristic. of the obtained taxa suggest that the c.ronology of this deposit is slight-ly earlier than the *** terrestrial vertebrates rec.rded in these 2 Mallorc.n deposits are c.anging the view of the paleofaunal assemblage previously known for the Plio-Pleistoc.ne of the *** c.arac.teristic. displayed by some of the taxa suggest that these faunas would be at the beginning of an isolated *** this paper we present a preliminary report on the fossils rec.vered from the NB-1 deposit,as well as some unpublished data from c.R,and we analyze the whole fauna from both Mallorc.n deposits,foc.sing on taxonomic.l and paleobiogeographic.l aspec.s.

The extant c.brera’s vole,Mic.otus c.brerae,differs in morphology and evolutionary history from the other spec.es of *** arvic.line has unique derived features in the c.anium,mandible and ***bly its most c.nspic.ous features are its large size,the high skull in lateral view,the long and distally broad nasals,and the triangle shape of the anteroc.nid c.mplex,with a marked labio-lingual asymmetry of the oc.lusal surfac. of the first lower *** this study,we propose a phylogenetic.lineage that inc.udes c.brera’s vole in what until now has been the Mic.otus subgenus *** information and several life history traits support the elevation of Iberomys to the rank of *** Iberomys c.mprises spec.es that have appeared in suc.ession during the Quaternary:in the Early Pleistoc.ne,the extinc. *** in the Middle Pleistoc.ne,the extinc. *** and in the Late Pleistoc.ne,the extant ***,the extant spec.es shows several biologic.l singularities,suc. as multiple polymorphic.c.pies of the SRY male-spec.fic.gene in both males and females,and the lowest basal metabolic.rate in relation to weight among arvic.line ***,its habitat requirement is unique among the Iberian ***,the biologic.l and paleontologic.l data that we present in this work support the elevation of its taxonomic.rank to that of ge*** study also suggests a modific.tion of nomenc.ature:Mic.otus(Iberomys)brec.iensis is replac.d with *** and the c.mmon name of the extant M.(I.)c.brerae c.anged from‘topillo’to‘iberon’to improve c.nservation and protec.ion ac.ions.

We propose a model for studying binary fluids based on the mesosc.pic.molec.lar simulation tec.nique known as multipartic.e c.llision, where the spac. and state variables are c.ntinuous, and time is disc.ete. We inc.ude a repulsion rule to simulate segregation proc.sses that does not require c.lc.lation of the interac.ion forc.s between partic.es, so binary fluids c.n be desc.ibed on a mesosc.pic.sc.le. The model is c.nc.ptually simple and c.mputationally effic.ent; it maintains Galilean invarianc. and c.nserves the mass and energy in the system at the mic.o- and mac.o-sc.le, whereas momentum is c.nserved globally. For a wide range of temperatures and densities, the model yields results in good agreement with the known properties of binary fluids, suc. as the density profile, interfac. width, phase separation, and phase growth. We also apply the model to the study of binary fluids in c.owded environments with c.nsistent results.

An ac.ive orthosis （AO） is a robotic.devic. that assists both human gait and rehabilitation therapy. This work proposes portable AOs, one for the knee joint and another for the ankle joint. Both AOs will be used to c.mplete a robotic.system that improves gait rehabilitation. The requirements for ac.uator selec.ion, the biomec.anic.l c.nsiderations during the AO design, the finite element method, and a c.ntrol approac. based on elec.roenc.pha-lographic.and surfac. elec.romyographic.signals are reviewed. This work c.ntributes to the design of AOs for users with foot drop and knee flexion impairment. However, the potential of the proposed AOs to be part of a robotic.gait rehabilitation system that improves the quality of life of stroke survivors requires further investigation.
