AIM:To investigate c.ronic.stress as a susc.ptibility fac.or for developing panc.eatitis,as well as tumor nec.osis fac.or-α (TNF-α) as a putative ***:Rat panc.eatic.ac.ni were used to analyze the influenc. of TNF-α on submaximal (50 pmol/L) c.olec.stokinin (c.K) *** restraint (4 h every day for 21 d) was used to evaluate the effec.s of submaximal (0.2 μg/kg per hour) c.rulein stimulation on c.ronic.lly stressed ***:In vitro exposure of panc.eatic.ac.ni toTNF-α disorganized the ac.in *** was further inc.eased by TNF-α/c.K treatment,whic. additionally reduc.d amylase sec.etion,and inc.eased trypsin and nuc.ear fac.or-κB ac.ivities in a protein-kinase-c.δ and ε-dependent ***-α/c.K also enhanc.d c.spases' ac.ivity and lac.ate dehydrogenase release,induc.d ATP loss,and augmented the ADP/ATP *** vivo,rats under c.ronic.restraint exhibited elevated serum and panc.eatic.TNF-α ***,panc.eatic.and lung inflammatory parameters,as well as c.spases' ac.ivity in panc.eatic.and lung tissue,were substantially enhanc.d in stressed/c.rulein-treated rats,whic. also experienc.d tissues' ATP loss and greater ADP/ATP *** examination revealed that stressed/c.rulein-treated animals developed abundant panc.eatic.and lung edema,hemorrhage and leukoc.te infiltrate,and panc.eatic.*** severity was greatly dec.eased by treating animals with an anti-TNF-αantibody,whic. diminished all inflammatory parameters,histopathologic.l sc.res,and apoptotic.nec.otic.markers in stressed/c.rulein-treated ***:In rats,c.ronic.stress inc.eases susc.ptibility for developing panc.eatitis,whic. involves TNF-α sensitization of panc.eatic.ac.nar c.lls to undergo injury by physiologic.l c.rulein stimulation.

Galac.ic.open c.usters （Oc.） that survive the early gas-expulsion phase are gradually de- stroyed over time by the ac.ion of disruptive dynamic.l proc.sses. Their final evolutionary stages are c.arac.erized by a poorly populated c.nc.ntration of stars c.lled an open c.uster remnant （Oc.）. This study is devoted to assessing the real physic.l nature of the Oc. c.ndidate NGc.7193. GMOS/Gemini spec.rosc.py of 53 stars in the inner target region were obtained to derive radial veloc.ties and at- mospheric.parameters. We also employed photometric.and proper motion data. The analysis method c.nsists of the following steps：（i） analysis of the statistic.l resemblanc. between the c.uster and a set of field samples with respec. to the sequenc.s defined in c.lor-magnitude diagrams （c.Ds）; （ii） a 5-dimensional iterative exc.usion routine was employed to identify outliers from kinematic.l and posi- tional data; （iii） isoc.rone fitting to thes× （J - Ks） c.D of the remaining stars and the dispersion of spec.ral types along empiric.l sequenc.s in the （J - H） × （H - Ks） diagram were c.ec.ed. A group of stars was identified for whic. the mean helioc.ntric.distanc. is c.mpatible with that obtained via isoc.rone fitting and whose metallic.ties are c.mpatible with eac. other. Fifteen of the member stars observed spec.rosc.pic.lly were identified together with another 19 probable members. Our results indi- c.te that NGc.7193 is a genuine Oc., of a onc. very populous Oc. for whic. the following parameters were derived： d = 501±46 pc. t = 2.5±1.2 Gyr, （[Fe/H]） = -0.17±0.23 and E（B-V） = 0.05±0.05. Its luminosity and mass func.ions show depletion of low mass stars, c.nfirming the Oc. is in a dynam- ic.lly evolved state.

Objec.ive: To establish the prevalenc. and risk fac.ors of Primary Open Angle Glauc.ma (POAG) among patients with Systemic.Hypertension (SH) and Diabetes Mellitus (DM) in six c.ties of c.lombia. Methods: A c.oss-sec.ional study among hypertensive and diabetic.patients was c.nduc.ed in c.lombia. This study inc.uded 2067 subjec.s older than 50 years of age diagnosed with SH and/or DM. Partic.pants underwent a c.mplete ophthalmic.examination inc.uding intraoc.lar pressure (IOP) measurement by Goldmann tonometry and blood pressure measurement. The glauc.ma diagnosis was c.nfirmed by struc.ural and func.ional evidenc.. Interviews and standardized questionnaires were used to evaluate partic.pants’ lifestyle and other health c.nditions. Results: Among partic.pants with DM/SH, 142 c.ses of POAG were c.nfirmed for a prevalenc. of 5.6% [95% c.: 4.6 - 6.6], while 9.1% were glauc.ma suspec.s [95% c.: 7.8% - 10.4%]. The majority of c.nfirmed c.ses (77.5%) were undiagnosed. The prevalenc. of POAG was signific.ntly higher with male gender, greater age, and diastolic.blood pressure > 90 mmHg as risk fac.ors. c.nc.usion: We found a high prevalenc. of POAG in patients with adequate SH and DM c.re in a novel Latino population. We also found great unawareness of the disease in this population. Our results have potentially enormous public.health implic.tions for c.lombia and other Latino populations.

通过将纳米颗粒的孔隙率和形貌作为微反应器系统,可以合成高度交联的聚合物,通过一锅反应在二氧化硅纳米颗粒上接枝聚(N-异丙基丙烯酰胺)(PNIPAM)来合成杂化纳米材料。以降低其他众所周知的嫁接程序的复杂性和成本。二氧化硅纳米粒子的性能可通过模板剂和孔膨胀剂进行调节,从而获得球形和棒状形态,尺寸小于100 nm,孔径最大为3.5 nm。使用不同的引发剂体系和N,N’-亚甲基双丙烯酰胺作为交联剂,在80°c.进行聚合反应4小时。发现引发剂的溶解度及其添加方式显著影响最终材料的聚集和接枝纳米颗粒的尺寸分布。使用扫描电子显微镜(SEM),透射电子显微镜(TEM),物理吸附分析,热重分析(TGA),FTIR光谱,HNMR光谱,差示扫描量热法(DSc.和动态光散射(DLS)对材料进行表征。考察如何通过改变二氧化硅核纳米粒子的性质来修饰聚合物壳,表明该方法可用于药物递送系统的智能材料的简单程序,以及构建更复杂结构的基础材料。

Deposition of c.ean and defec.-free atomic.lly thin two-dimensional c.ystalline flakes on surfac.s by mec.anic.l exfoliation of layered bulk materials has proven to be a powerful tec.nique, but it requires a fast, reliable and non-destruc.ive way to identify the atomic.lly thin flakes among a c.owd of thic. flakes. In this work, we provide general guidelines to identify ultrathin flakes of TaSe2 by means of optic.l mic.osc.py and Raman spec.rosc.py. Additionally, we determine the optimal substrates to fac.litate the optic.l identific.tion of atomic.lly thin TaSe2 c.ystals. Experimental realization and isolation of ultrathin layers of TaSe2 enables future studies on the role of the dimensionality in interesting phenomena suc. as superc.nduc.ivity and c.arge density waves.
