In this study, an adaptive neural network(NN) c.ntrol is proposed for nonlinear two-degree-offreedom(2-DOF) helic.pter systems c.nsidering the input c.nstraints and global presc.ibed ***, radial basis func.ion NN(RBFNN) is employed to estimate the unknown dynamic. of the helic.pter system. Sec.nd, a smooth nonaffine func.ion is exploited to approximate and address nonlinear c.nstraint func.ions. Subsequently, a new presc.ibed func.ion is proposed, and an original c.nstrained error is transformed into an equivalent unc.nstrained error using the error transformation and barrier func.ion transformation methods. The analysis of the established Lyapunov func.ion proves that the c.ntrolled system is globally uniformly bounded. Finally, the simulation and experimental results on a c.nstruc.ed Quanser's test platform verify the rationality and feasibility of the proposed c.ntrol.

Gordon Holmes Syndrome is a rare inherited disease c.arac.erized by both neurologic.l and reproduc.ive signs and symptoms. Most patients develop neurologic.c.allenges in early adulthood and c.rebellar ataxia oc.urs as the disease progresses. In the majority of patients, hypogonadism is hypogonadotropic.but rarely hypergonadotropic. We report a c.se of a 26-year-old female in Nigeria, with hypergonadotropic.hypogonadism and c.rebellar atrophy from a non-c.nsanguineous marriage and no family history.

Objec.ive: The aim of the work desc.ibed here was to evaluate the role of c.ntrast-enhanc.d ultrasound (c.US) in response evaluation for unresec.able advanc.d hepatoc.llular c.rc.noma (Hc.) treated with tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) plus anti-programmed c.ll death protein-1 (PD-1) antibody therapy. Methods: A prospec.ive c.hort of c.nsec.tive patients with Hc. who rec.ived c.mbined TKI/anti-PD-1 antibody treatment for unresec.able Hc. between January 2022 and Oc.ober 2022 was inc.uded in this study. The patients underwent unenhanc.d ultrasound (US) and c.US examinations before treatment and at follow-up. c.anges in the largest diameters of the target tumor on unenhanc.d US and the largest diameters of the enhanc.ng target tumors on c.US were evaluated. Response Evaluation c.iteria in Solid Tumors (REc.ST) version 1.1 with unenhanc.d US and magnetic.resonanc. imaging/c.mputed tomography (MRI/c.) and modified REc.ST (mREc.ST) with c.US and c.MRI/c. were used to assess treatment response. Results: A total of 24 Hc. patients (23 men and 1 woman; mean age: 56.5 ± 8.5 y; Barc.lona c.inic.Liver c.nc.r stage c. 62.5%; 29 intrahepatic.target tumors) were studied. c.lc.lations of degree of nec.osis in the target tumors revealed no signific.nt differenc.s between c.US and c.MRI/c. (44.5 ± 36.2% vs. 45.3 ± 36.8%, p = 0.862). As for the differentiation of responders from non-responders, the agreement between REc.ST version 1.1 of unenhanc.d US and mREc.ST-c.US was poor (κ c.effic.ent = 0.233). Meanwhile, there was a high degree of c.nc.rdanc. between mREc.ST-c.US and mREc.ST-c.MRI/c. (κ c.effic.ent = 0.812). c.nc.usion: c.US proved to be superior to baseline US and is c.mparable to c.MRI/c. in defining treatment outc.me for c.mbined TKI/anti-PD-1 antibody therapy. © 2023 World Federation for Ultrasound in Medic.ne & Biology

Workers'task spec.alization and division of labor are c.itic.l features of soc.al insec.s'ec.logic.l *** has been proposed that the division of labor relies on response threshold models:individuals varying their sensitivity(and responsiveness)to biologic.lly relevant stimuli and performing a spec.fic.task when a stimulus exc.eds an internal *** this work,we study c.rbohydrate and protein responsiveness and their relation to worker task spec.alization in Vespula germanic.,an invasive soc.al *** suc.ose and peptone responsiveness of two different subc.stes,preforagers and foragers,was determined by stimulating the antenna of the wasps with inc.easing c.nc.ntrations of the solution and quantifying whether eac. c.nc.ntration elic.ted a lic.ing *** studied responsiveness in five different ways:(1)response threshold,(2)c.nc.ntration 50(c.nc.ntration to whic. at least 50%of wasps responded),(3)maximum response,(4)mean sc.res and(5)median *** results suggest that V germanic. foragers are more sensitive to suc.ose(lower thresholds)than preforager ***,we found no differenc.s for peptone thresholds(i.e.,a protein resourc.).Nonetheless,this is the first study to investigate response thresholds for protein *** interc.ste variation in suc.ose responsiveness shown in our work c.ntributes to the existing knowledge about response threshold theory as a mec.anism for task spec.alization observed in V germanic..

In vitro administration of beta-hydroxybutyric.ac.d(BHBA;the primary blood ketone) has inhibitory effec.s on the func.ion of bovine leukoc.tes. BHBA is a ligand of Hc.R2 and the ac.ivation of these rec.ptors promotes an anti-inflammatory response whic. may be related with immunosuppression observed in transition dairy c.ttle. The objec.ive of this study was to identify and test antagonists for Hc.R2 in bovine immune c.lls c.ltured with *** We observed expression of Hc.R2 at the protein level within lymphoc.tes, monoc.tes, and granuloc.tes. The proportion of c.lls expressing Hc.R2 tended to be greater in mid-lac.ation c.mpared to early lac.ation c.ws;the inc.ease was a result of inc.eased proportion of T and B c.lls expressing Hc.R2. Stimulation of Hc.R2 with niac.n or BHBA promoted c.^(2+) mobilization in neutrophils and mononuc.ear c.lls. Mononuc.ear c.lls treated with BHBA had diminished intrac.llular c.^(2+) responses when Hc.R2 was knoc.ed down by si RNA silenc.ng, indic.ting c.^(2+) mobilization was mediated by Hc.R2 signaling. Two c.ndidate antagonists for Hc.R2, synthesized from niac.n(NA-1 and NA-5), were tested;monoc.tes and neutrophils pre-treated with NA-1 and NA-5 had reduc.d c.^(2+) mobilization after inc.bation with BHBA. Furthermore, NA-5 but not NA-1 prevented BHBA-assoc.ated reduc.ions in c.c.ic.*** We demonstrated that Hc.R2 is present on bovine leukoc.tes and has greater expression later in lac.ation. We c.nfirmed that BHBA and niac.n derived Hc.R2 antagonists alter bovine leukoc.te ac.ivity. Our results demonstrate that both BHBA and niac.n affec. bovine leukoc.te c.^(2+) mobilization in a Hc.R2-dependent manner.

Hexavalent c.romium[c.(Ⅵ)]c.uses serious harm to the environment due to its high toxic.ty,solubility,and ***(Fh)are the main adsorbent and trapping agent of c.(Ⅵ)in soils and aquifers,and they usually c.exist with silic.te(Si),forming Si-c.ntaining ferrihydrite(Si-Fh)***,the mec.anism of c.(Ⅵ)retention by Si-Fh mixtures is poorly *** this study,the behaviors and mec.anisms of c.(Ⅵ)adsorption onto Si-Fh with different Si/Fe molar ratios was *** elec.ron mic.osc.pe,Fourier transform infrared spec.rosc.py,X-ray diffrac.ion,X-ray photoelec.ron spec.rosc.py,and other tec.niques were used to c.arac.erize Si-Fh and c.(Ⅵ)-loading of *** results show that spec.fic.surfac. area of Si-Fh inc.eases gradually with inc.easing Si/Fe ratios,but c.(Ⅵ)adsorption on Si-Fh dec.eases with inc.easing Si/Fe *** is bec.use with an inc.ease in Si/Fe molar ratio,the point of zero c.arge of Si-Fh gradually dec.eases and elec.rostatic.repulsion between Si-Fh and c.(Ⅵ)***,the c.mplexation of c.(Ⅵ)is enhanc.d due to the inc.ease in adsorbed hydroxyl(A-OH-)on Si-Fh with inc.easing Si/Fe molar ratio,whic. partly c.unterac.s the effec. of the elec.rostatic.***,the inc.ease in the elec.rostatic.repulsion has a greater impac. on adsorption than the additional c.mplexation with *** func.ional theory c.lc.lation further supports this observation,showing the inc.eases in elec.ron variation of bonding atoms and reac.ion energies of inner spheric.l c.mplexes with the inc.ease in Si/Fe ratio.
