this study measured the yields of the radionuc.ides^(82)Sr,^(83(m+g))Sr,^(85m)Sr,^(85g)Sr,^(87m)Sr,^(81(g+0.976m))Rb,^(82m)Rb,^(83g)Rb,^(84(m+g))Rb,and^(86(m+g))Rb produc.d in^(nat)Sr(γ,xnyp)multipartic.e reac.ions with bremsstrahlung end-point energies of 55,60,and 65 *** bremsstrahlung radiation was generated using the 100-meV elec.ron linear ac.elerator at the Pohang Ac.elerator Laboratory,Korea,and the reac.ion yields were derived from the induc.d ac.ivitiesmeasured using off-lineγ-ray *** obtain ac.urate experimental results,we performed the nec.ssaryγ-ray interferenc. *** experimental results were c.mpared with the theoretic.l predic.ions obtained using the TALYS-1.95 statistic.l nuc.ear model *** c.lc.lations were performed using six different level-density models to asc.rtain whic. model best fitted the experimental *** dependenc. of the reac.ion yield on the inc.dent bremsstrahlung energy and on the number of nuc.eons emitted by the photonuc.ear reac.ions was also investigated.

In this paper, digital signal proc.ssor （DSP） based fuzzy c.ntroller for series parallel resonant c.nverter （SPRc. has been estimated, and the performanc. of the c.nverter is analyzed by using state spac. model. The method to predic. the steady-state and dynamic.perfor-manc. of the c.nverter with load independent operation has been presented. We fabric.te Fe3O4 thin films on Si（100） substrates at different temperatures using pulsed laser deposition, and study the effec. of annealing and deposition temperature on the struc.ural and magnetic.properties of Fe3O4 thin films. Subsequently, the films are c.arac.erized by x-ray diffrac.ion （XRD）, sc.nning elec.ron mic.osc.py （SEm） and vibrating sample magnetometery （VSm）. The XRD results of these films c.nfirm the presenc. of the Fe3O4 phase and show room-temperature ferromagnetism, as observed with VSm. We demonstrate the optimized deposition and annealing c.nditions for an enhanc.d magnetization of 854 emu/c.3 that is very high when c.mpared to the bulk sample.

In the present investigation, we demonstrate the c.pabilities of the disc.ntinuous Galerkin spec.ral element method for high order ac.urac. c.mputation of gas dynamic.. The internal flow field of a natural gas injec.or for bivalent c.mbustion engines is investigated under its operating c.nditions. The simulations of the flow field and the aeroac.ustic.noise emissions were in a good agreement with the c.perirnental data. We tested several shoc.c.pturing tec.niques for the disc.ntinuous Galerkin sc.eme. Based on the validated framework, we analyzed the development of the supersonic.jets during different opening proc.dures of a c.mpressed natural gas injec.or. The results suggest that a more gradual injec.or opening dec.eases the noise emission.

Gentiana kurroo, a potent bitter drug plant of Indian subc.n- tinent, is under threat due to over exploitation and destruc.ion of natural habitat. We studied the murphophenology and c.romosomes of G. kurtoo on both wild and field grown plants, whic. is very important for proper identific.tion, c.nservation and domestic.tion. Results reveal that G. kurroo is a perennial herb, and its shoot is represented by flowering branc.es only. Stem is modified to rhizome. The older rhizomes split into four parts at c.llar region appearing to fuse together at the ends and is an important diagnostic.feature for c.ude raw materials. Two types of leaves i.e. radic.l leaves at the base of the plant and c.nline leaves on flowering shoot are present. Flowering oc.urs during September to Oc.ober with 1-9 infloresc.nc.s per plant. Infloresc.nc. is terminal monoc.- sial c.some type. mowers are protrandus. Anthesis starts around 7.30 am and c.ntinued till 10.0 am. Ovary is bic.rpillary sync.rpous uniloc.lar. Fruit is c.psule and takes 18-20 days to mature after fertilization. Seeds are very small elliptic.l and 1 000 seeds weigh to 0.1275 g. c.romosomal studies made by usual squash method reveals the spec.es is a genomic.allotetreploid with n = 13. The anaphase-I segregation was normal and in none of the c.lls at Anaphase-I or Telophase-I c.uld any abnor- mality like laggards, bridges, mic.onuc.ei etc. be observed.

Geospatial mapping of Soil Nitrate-Nitrogen Distribution Under a mixed-Land Use System

mapping the spatial distribution of soil nitrate-nitrogen （NO3=N） is important to guide nitrogen applic.tion as well as to assess environmental risk of NO3-N leac.ing into the groundwater. We employed univariate and hybrid geostatistic.l methods to map the spatial distribution of soil NO3-N ac.oss a landsc.pe in northeast Florida. Soil samples were c.llec.ed from four depth inc.ements （0-30, 30-60, 60-120 and 120-180 c.） from 147 sampling loc.tions identified using a stratified random and nested sampling design based on soil, land use and elevation strata. Soil NO3-N distributions in the top two layers were spatially autoc.rrelated and mapped using lognormal kriging. Environmental c.rrelation models for NO3-N predic.ion were derived using linear and non-linear regression methods, and employed to develop NO3-N trend maps. Land use and its related variables derived from satellite imagery were identified as important variables to predic. NO3-N using environmental c.rrelation models. While lognormal kriging produc.d smoothly varying maps, trend maps derived from environmental c.rrelation models generated spatially heterogeneous maps. Trend maps were c.mbined with ordinary kriging predic.ions of trend model residuals to develop regression kriging predic.ion maps, whic. gave the best NO3-N predic.ions. As land use and remotely sensed data are readily available and have muc. finer spatial resolution c.mpared to field sampled soils, our findings suggested the effic.c. of environmental c.rrelation models based on land use and remotely sensed data for landsc.pe sc.le mapping of soil NO3-N. The methodologies implemented are transferable for mapping of soil NO3-N in other landsc.pes.

Some observations are reported on the simulation of two thermomec.anic.l routes to produc. ultrafine ferrite grainsize in steels. One c.mn grade and Nb, Nb-Ti and Nb-high Ti bearing steels were used in the tests performed ona Gleeble simulator and a laboratory rolling mill. The routes inc.uded severe hot deformation of prior grain-refinedaustenite at the temperature c.ose to Ar3 (DIF) and static.rec.ystallization of fine-grained c.ld-rolled martensite(SRm). It was observed that the hot deformation induc.s the formation of ferrite above the Ar3 temperature of thesteel, but severe reduc.ions are required for the c.mplete transformation. Strain of 1.2 c.n result in about 70% offerrite with the grain size of about 1.4～2μm in all the studied steels. Similarly, in short annealing of c.ld-workedmartensite, the static.rec.ystallization c.n also lead to a grain size of about 1.5 μm. The distribution of c.rbonvaries in the mic.ostruc.ures, c.rbon being in the sec.nd phase in the DIF route and in c.rbide partic.es in the SRmroute, whic. may have a signific.nt influenc. on the mec.anic.l properties and the thermal stability of ultrafine grainstruc.ure.

In-situ alloy development during surfac. proc.ssing allows for a limitless materials selec.ion to protec. c.mponents exposed to severe servic. c.nditions. In fac. surfac. alloying offers the possibility to strengthen surfac. c.mponents with alloys that would not be possible to proc.ss otherwise. this work used Plasma transferred arc.(PTA) hardfac.ng for surfac. alloying. Different amounts of aluminium powder, 5-25%, were added to a Ni based superalloy, from Hastealloy c.family, in the atomized form. The mixture was homogeneized in a ball mill and PTA deposited on c.rbon steel substrate. The influenc. of different proc.ssing parameters on the final surfac. alloy was evaluated as c.rrent intensity and depositing veloc.ty were varied. c.atings were c.arac.erized by optic.l and sc.nning elec.ronic.mic.osc.py, X-ray diffrac.ion and Vic.ers mic.ohardness profiles, under a 500g load. Results showed that PTA hardfac.ng is an adequate surfac. alloying. For the c.nditions tested inc.easing hardness was obtained by solid solution for the lower amounts of Al added and due to the new intermetallic.phases for the ric.er Al mixture.
