In many industrial applic.tions,heat transfer and tangent hyperbolic.fluid flow proc.sses have been garnering inc.easing attention,owing to their immense importanc. in tec.nology,engineering,and *** proc.sses are relevant for polymer solutions,porous industrial materials,c.ramic.proc.ssing,oil rec.very,and fluid *** present tangent hyperbolic.fluid flow and heat transfer model ac.urately predic.s the shear-thinning phenomenon and desc.ibes the blood flow ***,the entropy produc.ion analysis of a non-Newtonian tangent hyperbolic.material flow through a vertic.l mic.oc.annel with a quadratic.density temperature fluc.uation(quadratic.nonlinear Boussinesq approximation)is performed in the present *** impac.s of the hydrodynamic.flow and Newton’s thermal c.nditions on the flow,heat transfer,and entropy generation are *** governing nonlinear equations are solved with the spec.ral quasi-linearization method(SQLM).The obtained results are c.mpared with those c.lc.lated with a finite element method and the bvp4c.*** addition,the effec.s of key parameters on the veloc.ty of the hyperbolic.tangent material,the entropy generation,the temperature,and the Nusselt number are *** entropy generation inc.eases with the buoyanc. forc.,the pressure gradient fac.or,the non-linear c.nvec.ion,and the Ec.ert *** non-Newtonian fluid fac.or improves the magnitude of the veloc.ty *** power-law index of the hyperbolic.fluid and the Weissenberg number are found to be favorable for inc.easing the temperature *** buoyanc. forc. c.used by the nonlinear c.ange in the fluid density versus temperature improves the thermal energy of the system.

The Strec.er reac.ion was performed via a one-pot three c.mponent c.ndensation of hetero aromatic. aromatic.aldehydes, sec.ndary amines and trimetylsilyl c.anide in the presenc. of propylphosphonic.anhydride （T3P） to ac.omplish the c.rresponding α-aminonitriles. The main advantages of this method are very short reac.ion time and exc.llent yields.

c.mparison of Alkaline Treatment of Lead c.ntaminated Wastewater Using Lime and Sodium Hydroxide

A lead-ac.d storage battery manufac.uring industry in India produc.s several thousand liters of lead c.n-taminated ac.dic.wastewater on a daily basis and uses hydrated lime to render the lead-c.ntaminated ac.dic.wastewater alkaline (pH = 8.0). Alkaline treatment of the ac.dic.wastewater with lime though a c.st-effec.ive method, generates c.pious amount of lead-c.ntaminated gypsum sludge. Other alkali agents suc. as sodium hydroxide, sodium c.rbonate and dolomite are also used for alkali treatment of the ac.d wastewaters. The present paper c.mpares the relative effic.enc. of hydrated lime and 0.05 M to 1 M NaOH solutions with re-spec. to 1) amounts of sludge produc.d, 2) immobilization of the soluble lead in the ac.dic.wastewater (AWW) and 3) inc.ease in TDS (total dissolved solids) levels upon treatment of AWW with NaOH solutions and lime. The study also performs equilibrium spec.ation upon alkaline treatment of AWW with lime and NaOH (sodium hydroxide) solutions using the Visual MINTEQ program to understand the c.emic.l reac.tions oc.urring during treatment proc.ss.

Preparation and c.arac.erization of c._(1-x)Dy_(x-y)Sr_yO_(2-δ) system

The effec. of dysprosium and strontium on the total ionic.c.nduc.ivity of c.ria in the system c.1-xDyx-ySryO2-δ was studied. In this system, few c.mpositions were prepared with x=0.15, y=0.015, 0.03 and 0.045 by modified sol-gel proc.ss using maltose and pec.in as organic.prec.rsors. Rietveld refinement of XRD patterns c.nfirms the c.bic.struc.ure with spac. group Fm3m . SEM images show relatively uniform grains with c.ean and distinc. grain boundaries. Four probe Ac.impedanc. measurements were c.rried out to evaluate the total ionic.c.nduc.ivity in the temperature range of 150-500 ℃ and frequenc. range of 40 Hz-1 MHz. The c.mposition c.0.85Dy0.12Sr0.03O2-δshows higher elec.ric.l c.nduc.ivity than single-doped c.ria samples.

A series of c.mphor-derived thiourea organoc.talysts 3a–f were designed and synthesized from（1R,3S）-c.mphoric.ac.d 1 and applied to the one-pot three-c.mponent Kabac.nik–Fields reac.ion. c.talyst 3c.was found to be an effic.ent organoc.talyst for the reac.ion of 2-c.c.opropylpyrimidin-4-c.rbaldehyde 4,various amines 5, and diphenylphosphite 6 to yield the c.rresponding enantioselec.ive a-aminophosphonates 7a–e in 74%–82% yields and 14%–35% ee.

Twelve Months c.inic.l Outc.mes after Perc.taneous c.ronary Intervention with Bare Metal Stents in Unselec.ed Real-Life Patients with c.ronary Artery Disease: Results from FLEXUS Study

Bac.ground: Though drug-eluting stent is widely used during c.ronary angioplasty, still there are c.nditions in whic. bare metal stents possess a priority role. Objec.ives: The aim of FLEXUS study is to investigate the safety and effic.c. of Flexinnium stent in unselec.ed real-life patients. Methods: The FLEXUS is a single-c.ntric. observational, non-randomized, retrospec.ive study performed from January to August 2014 in 216 patients who rec.ived Flexinnium stent. The end-point of study inc.uded devic.-oriented and patient-oriented c.inic.l outc.mes as per Ac.demic.Researc. c.nsortium c.nsensus. These end-points were observed at in-hospital stay and 12-month follow-up. Results: Of 216 patients, 174 (80.6%) patients were male;there were 76 (35.2%) and 84 (38.9%) patients of diabetes and hypertension, respec.ively. Type B2 and c.lesions ac.ounted for 27 (11.3%) and 122 (50.8%), respec.ively. A total of 241 Flexinnium stents were implanted with an average diameter and length of 2.7 ± 0.2 mm and 21.6 ± 8.0 mm, respec.ively. The c.mulative devic.-oriented c.mposite at 12-month follow-up inc.uded 2.31% c.rdiac.death, 1.39% myoc.rdial infarc.ion (MI) attributed to the target vessel, and 3.70% target lesion revasc.larization (TLR). c.nc.usion: FLEXUS study gives an idea about favorable safety and effic.c. of the Flexinnium in unselec.ed real-life patients with both simple and c.mplex c.ronary lesions.

With inc.easing inc.denc. of diabetes, use of diabetes spec.fic.nutrition supplements (DSNS) is c.mmon for better management of the disease. To study effec. of 12-week DSNS supplementation on glyc.mic.markers, anthropometry, lipid profile, Sc.As, and gut mic.obiome in individuals with diabetes. Markers studied were glyc.mic.[Fasting Blood Gluc.se (FBG), Post Prandial Gluc.se (PPG), HbA1c. Inc.emental Area under c.rve (iAUc., Mean Amplitude of Glyc.mic.Exc.rsions (MAGE), Time in/above Range (TIR/TAR)], anthropometry [weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), waist c.rc.mferenc. (Wc.], lipid profile, diet and gut health [plasma short c.ain fatty ac.ds (Sc.As)]. N = 210 adults were randomized to rec.ive either DSNS with standard c.re (DSNS + Sc.n = 105) or standard c.re alone (Sc.alone;n = 105). After 12 weeks, signific.nt differenc.s between DSNS + Sc.versus Sc.alone was observed in FBG [−3 ± 6 vs 14 ± 6 mg/dl;p = 0.03], PPG [−35 ± 9 vs −3 ± 9 mg/dl;p = 0.01], weight [−0.6 ± 0.1 vs 0.2 ± 0.1 kg;p = 0.0001], BMI [−0.3 ± 0.1 vs 0.1 ± 0.1 kg/m2;p = 0.0001] and Wc.[−0.3 ± 0.2 vs 0.2 ± 0.2 c.;p = 0.01]. HbA1c.and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) were signific.ntly reduc.d in DSNS + Sc.[−0.2 ± 0.9;p = 0.04 and −5 mg/dl;p = 0.03] respec.ively with no c.ange in c.ntrol. c.ntinuous Gluc.se Monitoring (c.M) reported signific.nt differenc.s between DSNS + Sc.versus Sc.alone for mean gluc.se [−12 ± 65 vs 28 ± 93 mg/dl;p c.[−192 (1.1) vs −48 (1.1) mg/dl;p = 0.03]. MAGE was signific.ntly reduc.d for both DSNS + Sc.(−19 ± 67;p c.alone (−8 ± 70;p = 0.04), with reduc.ion being more pronounc.d for DSNS + Sc. The unsteady natural c.nvec.ive c.uple stress fluid flow over a semi-infinite vertic.l c.linder is analyzed for the homogeneous first-order c.emic.l reac.ion effec.. The c.uple stress fluid flow model introduc.s the length dependent effec. based on the material c.nstant and dynamic.visc.sity. Also, it introduc.s the biharmonic.operator in the Navier-Stokes equations, whic. is absent in the c.se of Newtonian fluids. The solution to the time-dependent non-linear and c.upled governing equations is c.rried out with an unc.nditionally stable c.ank-Nic.lson type of numeric.l sc.emes. Numeric.l results for the transient flow variables, the average wall shear stress, the Nusselt number, and the Sherwood number are shown graphic.lly for both generative and destruc.ive reac.ions. The time to reac. the temporal maximum inc.eases as the reac.ion c.nstant K inc.eases. The average values of the wall shear stress and the heat transfer rate dec.ease as K inc.eases, while inc.ease with the inc.ease in the Sherwood number.

Solid polymer elec.rolyte films c.ntaining poly（vinyl alc.hol）（PVA） and magnesium nitrate （Mg（NO3）2） were prepared by solution c.sting tec.nique and c.arac.erized by using XRD, FTIR, DSc.and Ac.impedanc. spec.rosc.pic.analysis. The amorphous nature of the polymer elec.rolyte films has been c.nfirmed by XRD. The c.mplex formation between PVA and Mg salt has been c.nfirmed by FTIR. The glass transition temperature dec.eases with inc.easing the Mg salt c.nc.ntration. The Ac.impedanc. studies are performed to evaluate the ionic.c.nduc.ivity of the polymer elec.rolyte films in the range of 303-383 K, and the temperature dependenc. seems to obey the Arrhenius behavior. Transport number measurements show that the c.arge transport is mainly due to ions. Elec.roc.emic.l c.ll of c.nfiguration Mg/（PVA ＋ Mg（NO3）2）（70：30）/（12 ＋ c.＋ elec.rolyte） has been fabric.ted. The disc.arge c.arac.eristic. of the c.ll were studied for a c.nstant load of 100 kΩ.

Solar Thermal Energy Generation Potential in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu States, India

Government of India has c.me out with an ambitious target of 100 GW of using solar energy alone by the year 2022. To reac. this target, innovative ideas are required to use the solar energy more effec.ively. For solar elec.ric.ty generation, mainly two types of tec.nologies are presently in use, namely, solar PV and solar thermal. Being a tropic.l c.untry, India has large solar PV and solar thermal energy. More researc. is required on ec.nomic.aspec.s to make the solar thermal c.mpetitive to solar PV. Towards this direc.ion, in our present study we have simulated a solar thermal power plant using Parabolic.Trough c.llec.or (PTc. tec.nology and normalized with 1 MW solar thermal power plant at Gurgaon near New Delhi. Through simulation, we have extended our study and c.mputed the elec.ric.ty generation possible at different loc.tions of India. For this purpose with 1? × 1?spac.ng, c.mputations have been c.rried out at 296 loc.tions. The work is further extended for more detailed study at two representative states, namely, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. In these two states, c.oser data points with 0.25? × 0.25? spac.ng have been c.nsidered at 273 loc.tions for Gujarat and 197 loc.tions for Tamil Nadu. Our results indic.te a large potential of elec.ric.ty generation using solar thermal energy in southern states of India, namely, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, southern and western part of Andhra Pradesh and eastern part of Maharashtra. Good potential has also been observed in eastern parts of Gujarat and parts of Madhya Pradesh and eastern part of Rajasthan. The annual potential ranges from 1800 MWh to as muc. as 2600 MWh. Major parts of northern states, for example Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir have medium range potential. Here, the annual potential ranges from 1000 to 1500 MWh. Poor range of potential is observed towards eastern parts of India and north eastern states. Here, the elec.ric.ty generation potential ranges from 600 to 1200 MWh. Our
