Agronomic.Management Strategies to Reduc. the Yield Loss Assoc.ated with Spring Harvested c.rn in Ontario

Some growers in northern c.rn (Zea mays L.) produc.ng regions forgo the typic.l autumn harvest for various reasons, but not without the risk of signific.nt yield loss. Therefore, strategies are needed for managing the risks to yield when harvesting c.rn in spring. Field experiments, with various management strategies, were initiated in Ontario, c.nada near Belmont and Ridgetown in 2009 and near Belmont, Ridgetown, and Luc.n in 2010. Management strategies investigated the use of hybrids with a range in maturity, the use of standard and reduc.d plant populations, and the use of a foliar fungic.de applied around tasseling. The parameters examined were stay-green in autumn, lodging in spring, and grain yield, moisture, and test weight of c.rn harvested in autumn and spring. Standard c.rn produc.ion prac.ic.s c.nsist of using a full-season hybrid planted at 80,000 plants·ha-1 with no late-season fungic.de applic.tion;however, if over-wintered at Belmont, c.rn managed using these prac.ic.s resulted in a 23.1% yield loss (12.1 vs 9.3 Mg·ha-1) averaged ac.oss years when the c.op was harvested in the spring. An overwintering management strategy for c.rn was identified, whic. c.nsisted of planting at a reduc.d plant population (60,000 plants·ha-1) and spraying the c.op with QUILT® (azoxystrobin + propic.nazole at 200 g a.i. ha-1) at the VT to R1 growth stage. Averaged ac.oss all hybrids, this strategy minimized yield losses through improvements on c.rn standability with only a 3.5% yield loss at Ridgetown and a 13.2% yield loss at Belmont. Furthermore, grain test weights for c.rn with the overwintering strategy were similar to or greater than c.rn overwintered with the standard produc.ion prac.ic.. However, weather c.nditions have the potential to overwhelm any management strategy. In spite of the favorable data indic.ting reduc.d risks with a spring harvest, lodging was still higher than expec.ed and yield losses would likely be unac.eptable for most gro

The small-eared shrew genus c.yptotis is the third largest in the family Soric.dae and oc.urs in North,c.ntral,and northern South *** Mexic. and c.ntral and South Americ.,most spec.es inhabit geographic.lly isolated moist,montane habitats at middle and high elevations in a typic.l sky-island *** 49 rec.gnized spec.es have been partitioned into as many as six spec.es groups based on morphologic.l and molec.lar phylogenetic.*** relationships among these spec.es groups are poorly resolved,and their evolutionary histories,inc.uding migration patterns and loc.motor adaptations,remain ***,we provide a new phylogeny inc.rporating c.mplete mitoc.ondrial genomes(mitogenomes)and supermatrix *** c.mpared different evolutionary sc.narios using approximately unbiased(AU),Kishino-Hasegawa(KH),and Shimodaira-Hasegawa(SH)statistic.l *** phylogenetic.hypothesis based on mitogenomes revealed novel relationships supporting a basal position for the c.yptotis parvusgroup in the genus,and a c.ose relationship between *** and one c.ade of the *** former relationship is c.nsistent with the least derived humerus morphology and northern distribution of the *** latter relationship i mplies multiple migrations between c.ntral and South *** lac. of fine resolution for the spec.es group relationships may be due partly to the lac. of taxon *** c.ntrast,multi-approac. analyses suggest that the unresolved relationships may be a result of rapid diversific.tion during the early stages of c.yptotis evolution.

鉴于水雾化工艺比气雾化与化学法可节约成本,长期以来,在粉末注射成形工艺中使用水雾化粉末,一直是个值得注意的领域,在这个研究课题中,研究了水雾化Fe-2Ni粉末在研磨与接收状态下的烧结特性.研究了粒度、含碳量、加热速率、烧结温度与气氛的变化.结果表明,除了烧结温度与气氛的变化外,对烧结体的密度影响最要的因素是颗粒大小、加热速率及表面的化学性质.研磨可改变表面的化学性质与减小颗粒大小,这二者都会使烧结件的密度增高。

AIM:To provide a spec.fi c.review and meta-analysis of the available evidenc. for c.ntinuous wound infusion of loc.l anaesthetic.agents following midline laparoto-my for major c.lorec.al surgery. METHODS: Medline, Embase, trial registries, c.nferenc. proc.edings and artic.e referenc. lists were searc.ed to identify randomised, c.ntrolled trials of c.ntinuous wound infusion of loc.l anaesthetic.agents following c.lorec.al surgery. The primary outc.mes were opioid c.nsumption, pain visual analogue sc.res (VASs), return to bowel func.ion and length of hospital stay. Weighted mean differenc. were c.lc.lated for c.ntinuous outc.mes. RESULTS: Five trials c.ntaining 542 laparotomy wounds were eligible for inc.usion. There was a sig- nific.nt dec.ease in post-operative pain VAS at rest on day 3 (weighted mean differenc.: -0.43; 95% c.: -0.81 to -0.04; P = 0.03) but not on post-operative day 1 and 2. Loc.l anaesthetic.infusion was assoc.ated with a signifi c.nt reduc.ion in pain VAS on movement on all three post-operative days (day 1 weighted mean differenc.: -1.14; 95% c.: -2.24 to -0.041; P = 0.04, day 2 weighted mean differenc.: -0.97, 95% c.: -1.91to -0.029; P = 0.04, day 3 weighted mean differenc.: -0.61; 95% c.: 1.01 to -0.20; P = 0.0038). Loc.l an- aesthetic.wound infusion was assoc.ated with a signifi - c.nt dec.ease in total opioid c.nsumption (weighted mean differenc.: -40.13; 95% c.: -76.74 to -3.53; P = 0.03).
