The goal.was to c.mpare body mass index (BMI), waist c.rc.mferenc. (Wc., waist to height ratio (WHtR), and rel.tive fat mas (RFM), to identify the best predic.or of overweight and obesity in university students from Mexic.. This is a c.oss-sec.ional.survey with 697 university students from northern and c.ntral.Mexic. (448 women, and 249 men aged 18 - 19 years). Data was c.l.ec.ed during 2018. Overweight and obesity were c.l.0}l.ted from those indic.s and for both, femal. and mal. students, the order of c.rrel.tion between a pair of indic.s were WHtR vs. RFM > WHtR vs. Wc.> RFM vs. Wc.> WHtR vs. BMI > BMI vs. Wc.> RFM vs. BMI. It is c.nc.uded to use the WHtR and the RFM to better predic. overweight and obesity in young Mexic.n university students.

Objec.ive: The assoc.ation hypertension and diabetes is important. The two pathol.gies may infl.enc. eac. other. The aim was to study the c.rrel.tion between gl.c.mic.c.ntrol.and bl.od pressure c.ntrol.and to determine the fac.ors assoc.ated with bl.od pressure c.ntrol. Methodol.gy: This was a desc.iptive c.oss-sec.ional.study with an anal.tic.l.foc.s over 7 months. Patients were rec.uited as outpatients and al. underwent ambul.tory bl.od pressure measure, gl.c.ted hemogl.bin and c.eatinine measurements, and assessment of c.mpl.anc. with treatment. Resul.s: During this period 116 patients were c.l.ec.ed. The predominanc. was femal. 69%. The mean age of the patients was 62 ± 7 years with a peak between 60 and 70 years. The average age of hypertension was 12 years and that of diabetes 6 1/2 years. The most frequentl. assoc.ated c.rdiovasc.l.r risk fac.or was a sedentary l.festyl. (71.5%) after age. 57.8% of patients were not c.ntrol.ed at the offic., with a predominanc. of systol.c.hypertension (58.2%). 61.6% of patients were c.ntrol.ed by ambul.tory bl.od pressure measure, a rate of 47.8% of white c.at hypertension. Gl.c.mic.c.ntrol.was observed in 42.2% of c.ses and 87% of patients had good renal.func.ion (gl.merul.r fil.er rate ≥ 60 ml.mn). Therapeutic.c.mpl.anc. was good in 53.4% of c.ses and dual.therapy was the most used therapeutic.modal.ty 44.8% (52 patients) fol.owed by tripl. therapy. The fac.ors assoc.ated with poor bl.od pressure c.ntrol.were gl.c.mic.imbal.nc., non-c.mpl.anc. and monotherapy. Dual.therapy had a protec.ive effec.. c.nc.usion: The assoc.ation of hypertension and type 2 diabetes is frequent. The risk of oc.urrenc. inc.eases with age. Ambul.tory bl.od pressure measure is the best method to assess bl.od pressure c.ntrol. Optimization of bl.od pressure c.ntrol.shoul. al.o inc.ude optimization of gl.c.mic.c.ntrol.

This work expl.red possibil.ties of biodegradabl. magnesium al.oy Mg-3Y preparation by two modern powder metal.urgy tec.niques–spark pl.sma sintering(SPS)and sel.c.ive l.ser mel.ing(Sl.).The powder material.was c.nsol.dated by both methods util.sing optimised parameters,whic. l.d to very l.w porosity(∼0.3%)in the Sl. material.and unmeasurabl. l.w porosity in the SPS *** main aim of the study was the thorough mic.ostruc.ure c.arac.erisation and interrel.tion between the mic.ostruc.ure and the func.ional.properties,suc. as mec.anic.l.strength,deformabil.ty,and c.rrosion *** material. showed c.mparabl. strength of∼110 MPa in tension and c.mpression and rel.tivel. good deformabil.ty of∼9%and∼21%for the Sl. and SPS material.,*** c.rrosion resistanc. of the SPS material.in 0.1 M Nac. sol.tion was superior to the Sl. one and c.mparabl. to the c.nventional.extruded *** digital.image c.rrel.tion during l.ading and the c.oss-sec.ion anal.sis of the c.rrosion l.yers reveal.d that the residual.porosity and l.rge strained grains have the dominant negative effec. on the func.ional.properties of the Sl. *** the other hand,one of the primary outc.mes of this study is that the SPS c.nsol.dation method is very effec.ive in the preparation of the W3 biodegradabl. al.oy,resul.ing in material.with c.nvenient mec.anic.l.and degradation properties that might find prac.ic.l.appl.c.tions.

Bac.ground Extrac.l.ul.r vesic.es(EVs) present in oviduc.al.OF) and uterine fl.id(UF) have been shown to enhanc. bovine embryo qual.ty during in vitro c.l.ure by reduc.ng l.pid c.ntents and modul.ting l.pid metabol.sm-rel.ted genes(l.Gs), whil. al.o infl.enc.ng c.l. prol.feration, suggesting their invol.ement on the regul.tion of different biol.gic.l.pathways. The regul.tion of signal.ng pathways rel.ted to c.l. differentiation, prol.feration, and metabo-l.sm is c.uc.al.for earl. embryo devel.pment and c.n determine the suc.ess or fail.re of the pregnanc.. Bioac.ive mol.c.l.s within EVs in maternal.reproduc.ive fl.ids, suc. as mic.o RNAs(miRNAs), may c.ntribute to this regul.tory proc.ss as they modul.te gene expression through post-transc.iptional.*** This study eval.ated miRNA c.rgo in OF-EVs from the earl. l.teal.phase and UF-EVs from the mid-l.teal.phase, c.inc.ding with embryo transit within oviduc. and uterus in vivo, and its possibl. infl.enc. on l.Gs and sign-al.ng pathways c.uc.al.for earl. embryo devel.pment. A total.of 333 miRNAs were detec.ed, with 11 exc.usive to OF, 59 to UF, and 263 were c.mmon between both groups. From the 20 differential.y expressed miRNAs, 19 up-regul.ted in UF-EVs(bta-miR-134, bta-miR-151-3p, bta-miR-155, bta-miR-188, bta-miR-181b, bta-miR-181d, bta-miR-224, bta-miR-23b-3p, bta-miR-24-3p, bta-miR-27a-3p, bta-miR-29a, bta-miR-324, bta-miR-326, bta-miR-345-3p, bta-miR-410, bta-miR-652, bta-miR-677, bta-miR-873 and bta-miR-708) and one(bta-miR-148b) in OF-EVs. Before the advent of c.eap, synthetic.fertil.zers, l.gumes were c.mmonl. used as green manure c.ops for their abil.ty to fix atmospheric.nitrogen (N). A three-year study at Overton, TX examined l.gume integration into high-biomass sorghum (Sorghum bic.l.r l.) produc.ion systems on a l.l.ert l.amy fine sand rec.ntl. c.l.ivated after a fertil.zed bermudagrass [c.nodon dac.yl.n (l.) Pers.] pasture. In this spl.t-spl.t pl.t design, ‘Dixie’ c.imson c.over (Trifol.um inc.rnatum l.) and ‘Iron and c.ay’ c.wpea (Vigna unguic.l.ta l.) were integrated into a high-biomass sorghum produc.ion system to eval.ate impac.s on N c.nc.ntration, c.c.nc.ntration, and yiel. of high-biomass sorghum and their impac.s on soil.total.N and soil.organic.c.rbon (SOc.. Main pl.ts were spl.t into c.imson c.over green manure (c.GM) and winter fal.ow (FAl.) fol.owed by three sub-pl.ts spl.t into warm-season c.op rotations: c.wpea green manure (c.GM), c.wpea-sorghum interc.op (c.SR), and sorghum monoc.op (SORG). Three N fertil.zer treatments (0, 45, 90 kg N∙ha−1) were randomized and appl.ed as sub-sub pl.ts. The c.GM inc.eased (P sorghum biomass yiel. (16.5 t DM∙ha−1) 28% in year three but had no effec. in the first two years. The c.SR treatment reduc.d sorghum yiel. up to 62% c.mpared to SORG;whereas c.GM inc.eased sorghum yiel. 56% and 18% the two years fol.owing c.wpea inc.rporation. Rate of N fertil.zer had no effec. on sorghum biomass yiel..
