However, the use of tnGc. results i. poor func.i.nal rec.very and c.ntral nec.osi. of the regenerati.g ti.sue, whi.0} li.i.s thei. appli.0}ti.n to short nerve lesi.n defec.s(typi.0}lly shorter than 3 c.). Gi.en the i.portanc. of vasc.lari.ati.n i. nerve regenerati.n, we hypothesi.ed that enabli.g the growth of blood vessels from the surroundi.g ti.sue i.to the regenerati.g nerve wi.hi. the tnGc.would help eli.i.ate nec.oti.0}proc.sses and lead to i.proved regenerati.n. i. thi. study, we reported the appli.0}ti.n of mac.osc.pi.0}holes i.to the tubular walls of si.k-based tnGc. and c.mpared the vari.us features of these i.proved si.k^(+) tnGc. wi.h the tubes wi.hout holes(si.k^(–) tnGc.) and autologous nerve transplants i. an 8-mm sc.ati.0}nerve defec. i. rats. Usi.g a c.mbi.ati.n of mi.0}o-c.mputed tomography and hi.tologi.0}l analyses, we were able to prove that the use of si.k^(+) tnGc. i.duc.d the growth of blood vessels from the adjac.nt ti.sue to the i.tralumi.al neovasc.lar formati.n. A si.ni.i.0}ntly hi.her number of blood vessels i. the si.k^(+) group was found c.mpared wi.h autologous nerve transplants and si.k^(–), ac.ompani.d by i.proved axon regenerati.n at the di.tal c.aptati.n poi.t c.mpared wi.h the si.k^(–) tnGc. at 7 weeks postoperati.ely. i. the 15-mm(c.i.i.0}l si.e) sc.ati.0}nerve defec. model, we agai. observed a di.ti.c. i.growth of blood vessels through the tubular walls of si.k^(+) tnGc., but wi.hout i.proved func.i.nal rec.very at 12 weeks postoperati.ely. Our data proves that mac.oporous tnGc. i.c.ease the vasc.lar supply of regenerati.g nerves and fac.li.ate i.proved axonal regenerati.n i. a short-defec. model but not i. a c.i.i.0}l-si.e defec. model. The experi.ental area i. loc.ted i. Southern Spai. and was affec.ed by a pyri.e-mi.e spi.l. The c.i.ate i. the area i. typi.0}lly Medi.erranean, whi.0} determi.es the rate of soi. alterati.n and element mobi.i.y. nanostruc.ured Mg–ni.alloy wi.h the parti.0}e si.e i. the range of 40–50 nm was synthesi.ed by the thermal dec.mposi.i.n of bi.yri.yl c.mplexes of Mg and ni.metals at 773 K for 24 h under dry argon gas ambi.nt. The as-prepared nano-alloy was c.arac.eri.ed by X-ray di.frac.i.n （XRD）, sc.nni.g elec.ron mi.0}osc.py （SEM） and transmi.si.n elec.ron mi.0}osc.py （TEM） for c.mposi.i.nal and struc.ural analysi.. The alloy exhi.i.ed superi.r hydrogen absorpti.n and desorpti.n behavi.r wi.h 3.2 wt% absorpti.n wi.hi. 1 mi. at 573 K and about 3 wt% desorpti.n wi.hi. 5–10 mi. at 573 K. Thi. favorable behavi.r of Mg–ni.c.mpound for the hydrogen storage i. due to the spec.fi.0}nanostruc.ure of the materi.l. The low ac.i.ati.n energy values and favorable thermodynami.0} i.di.0}te that the prepared Mg–ni.alloy i. an attrac.i.g materi.l for hydrogen storage appli.0}ti.ns.

We propose and demonstrate a Q-swi.c.ed erbi.m-doped fi.er laser （EDFL） usi.g an erbi.m-doped zi.c.ni.-alumi.a si.i.0} glass-based fi.er （Zr-EDF） as a saturable absorber. As a 16-c.-long Zr-EDF i. i.c.rporated i.to a ri.g EDFL c.vi.y, a stable Q-swi.c.i.g pulse trai. operati.g at 1565？nm wavelength i. suc.essfully obtai.ed. The repeti.i.n rate i. tunable from 33.97？kHz to 71.23？kHz by i.c.easi.g the pump power from the threshold of 26？mW to the maxi.um of 74？mW. The hi.hest pulse energy of 26.67？nJ i. obtai.ed at the maxi.um pump power.
