The.spatial patte.n distribution of plant hormone. in re.ponse.to aluminum (Al) toxic.ty in roots re.ains to be.shown. This study was pe.forme. to asse.s the.root hormonal ac.umulation and ge.e.e.pre.sion in re.ponse.to Al toxic.ty in five.transge.ic.miniature.dwarf tomatoe. c.. Mic.o-Tom (MT). MT and MT transge.ic. to ac.d indole.ac.tic. c.tokinin, gibbe.e.lin, absc.sic.ac.d and e.hyle.e.we.e.c.ltivate. in nutrie.t solutions c.ntaining diffe.e.t Al c.nc.ntrations. Root growth e.ongation was me.sure. and c.llular damage.was visualize. by staining e.ans’s blue. The.gUS re.orte. ge.e.staining te.0}nique.was use. to visualize.hormonal c.ange. in MT ape. root tissue.. Data indic.te. that the.MT is se.sitive.to Al that induc.d signific.nt growth inhibition and c.llular damage. Al c.nc.ntration of 27 μM was signific.ntly toxic. induc.ng root ape. darke.ing and inhibition of root de.e.opme.t. Upon se.e.0}ion of a rainfall gauge. we.re.lize. that the.c.st of using, for e.ample. a tipping buc.e.-type.rain gauge.would be.too e.pe.sive.and thus se.rc.e. for an alte.native.me.hod. We.se.e.0}e. an all-in-one.c.mme.c.ally available.we.the. station;he.e.fte., re.e.re. to as a Pe.sonal We.the. Station (PWS) that is both wire.e.s and solar powe.e.. Our obje.0}ive.was to e.aluate.ave.age.me.sure.e.ts of rainfall obtaine. with the.PWS and to c.mpare.the.e.to me.sure.e.ts obtaine. with an automatic.we.the. station (AWS). For this purpose. we.installe. four PWS de.loye. within 20 m of the.Plant Stre.s and Wate. c.nse.vation Me.e.rologic.l Towe. that was use. as our AWS, loc.te. at USDA-ARS c.opping Syste.s Re.e.rc. The.aim was to study the.c.rre.ation be.we.n glyc.mic.c.ntrol and blood pre.sure.c.ntrol and to de.e.mine.the.fac.ors assoc.ate. with blood pre.sure.c.ntrol. Me.hodology: This was a de.c.iptive.c.oss-se.0}ional study with an analytic.l foc.s ove. 7 months. Patie.ts we.e.re.0}uite. as outpatie.ts and all unde.we.t ambulatory blood pre.sure.me.sure. glyc.te. he.oglobin and c.e.tinine.me.sure.e.ts, and asse.sme.t of c.mplianc. with tre.tme.t. Re.ults: During this pe.iod 116 patie.ts we.e.c.lle.0}e.. The.pre.ominanc. was fe.ale.69%. The.me.n age.of the.patie.ts was 62 ± 7 ye.rs with a pe.k be.we.n 60 and 70 ye.rs. The.ave.age.age.of hype.te.sion was 12 ye.rs and that of diabe.e. 6 1/2 ye.rs. The.most fre.ue.tly assoc.ate. c.rdiovasc.lar risk fac.or was a se.e.tary life.tyle.(71.5%) afte. age. 57.8% of patie.ts we.e.not c.ntrolle. at the.offic., with a pre.ominanc. of systolic.hype.te.sion (58.2%). 61.6% of patie.ts we.e.c.ntrolle. by ambulatory blood pre.sure.me.sure. a rate.of 47.8% of white.c.at hype.te.sion. glyc.mic.c.ntrol was obse.ve. in 42.2% of c.se. and 87% of patie.ts had good re.al func.ion (glome.ular filte. rate.≥ 60 ml/mn). The.ape.tic.c.mplianc. was good in 53.4% of c.se. and dual the.apy was the.most use. the.ape.tic.modality 44.8% (52 patie.ts) followe. by triple.the.apy.
