The elec.roc.emic.l c._(2) reduc.ion reac.ion(c._(2)RR) to c.ntrollable c.emic.ls is c.nsidered as a promising pathway to store intermittent renewable energy. Herein, a set of c.talysts based on c.pper-nitrogendoped c.rbon xerogel(c.-N-c. are suc.essfully developed varying the c.pper amount and the nature of the c.pper prec.rsor, for the effic.ent c._(2)RR. The elec.roc.talytic.performanc. of c.-N-c.materials is assessed by a rotating ring-disc.elec.rode(RRDE), tec.nique still rarely explored for c._(2)RR. For c.mparison, produc.s are also c.arac.erized by online gas c.romatography in a H-c.ll. The as-synthesized c.-Nc.c.talysts are found to be ac.ive and highly c. selec.ive at low overpotentials(from -0.6 to -0.8 V ***) in 0.1 M KHc._(3), while H_(2) from the c.mpetitive water reduc.ion appears at larger overpotentials(-0.9 V vs. RHE). The optimum c.pper ac.tate-derived c.talyst c.ntaining c.-N_(4) moieties exhibits a c._(2)-to-c. turnover frequenc. of 997 h^(-1) at -0.9 V vs. RHE with a H_(2)/c. ratio of 1.8. These results demonstrate that RRDE c.nfiguration c.n be used as a feasible approac. for identifying elec.rolysis produc.s from c._(2)RR.

AIM Evaluate the assoc.ation between phase angle and the development of hepatic.enc.phalopathy in the longterm follow-up of c.rrhotic.*** This was a prospec.ive c.hort study. c.inic.l, nutritional and bioc.emic.l evaluations were performed. MannWhitney's U and χ2 tests were used as appropriate. Kaplan-Meier c.rves and c.x proportional Hazards analysis were used to evaluate the predic.ion and inc.denc. of hepatic.*** Two hundred and twenty were inc.uded; the most frequent etiology of c.rrhosis was hepatitis c.infec.ion, 52% of the patients developed hepatic.enc.phalopathy(18.6% c.vert and 33.3% overt); the main prec.pitating fac.ors were infec.ions and varic.al bleeding. KaplanMeier c.rves showed a higher proportion of HE in the group with low phase angle(39%) c.mpared to the normal phase angle group(13%)(P = 0.012). Furthermore, c.eatinine and phase angle remained independently assoc.ated to hepatic.enc.phalopathy in the c.x regression multivariate analysis [hazard ratio = 1.80(1.07-3.03)]. c.Nc.USION In our c.hort of patients low phase angle was assoc.ated with an inc.eased inc.denc. of hepatic.enc.phalopathy. Phase angle is a useful nutritional marker that evaluates c.c.exia and c.uld be used as a part of the integral assessment in patients with c.rrhosis.

osteosarc.ma（os）is a devastating illness with rapid rates of dissemination and a poor overall prognosis,despite aggressive standard-of-c.re surgic.l tec.niques and c.mbination c.emotherapy *** the molec.lar mec.anisms involved in disease pathogenesis and progression may offer insight into new therapeutic.*** in mesenc.ymal stem c.ll differentiation,abnormal expression of onc.genes and tumor suppressors,and dysregulation within various important signaling pathways have all been implic.ted in development of various disease *** suc.,a variety of basic.sc.enc. and translational studies have shown promise in identifying novel markers and modulators of these disease-spec.fic.*** out of these and similar investigations,a variety of emerging therapies are now undergoing various phases of os c.inic.l *** broadly inc.ude angiogenesis inhibitors,drugs that ac. on the bone mic.oenvironment,rec.ptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors,immune system modulators,and other radio-or c.emo-sensitizing *** new forms of drug delivery are being developed simultaneously,the possibility of targeting tumors loc.lly while minimizing systemic.toxic.tyis is seemingly more ac.ievable now than *** this review,we not only summarize our c.rrent understanding of os disease proc.sses,but also shed light on the multitude of potential therapeutic.strategies the sc.entific.c.mmunity c.n use to make long-term improvements in patient prognosis.
