The la.t 2000 c.l yr a. rec.rd suggests a.c.mplex environmenta. c.ndition tha. preva.led a. the depositiona. site a.gmenting the role of na.ura. a. well a. a.thropogenic.a.ents. Inc.ea.ed elementa. va.ia.ions a.d indic.s va.ues indic.te stronger wea.hering, presuma.ly wetter c.nditions a.d intense prec.pita.ion. Provena.c. studies suggest diverse sourc.s a.d the ma.n c.mposition fa.l c.ose to the c.a.noc.ite a.d Gneissic.c.mposition. Multi-proxy da.a.suggests tha. a.shift towa.ds wetter c.ima.ic.c.nditions, whic. oc.urred from 910 to 1230 c.l yr a.. The c.re a.so rec.rds a.shift towa.ds the drier c.nditions tha. sta.ted a.ound 1230 c.l yr a. with a.loss in vegeta.ion diversity. The pollution loa. index va.ues suggest tha. the overa.l study a.ea.fa.ls in modera.e c.nta.ina.ion levels, whic. a.e a.so substa.tia.ed with the dia.om da.a.indic.ting huma. influenc. in the na.ura. ha.ita. during the deposition time. The present study revea.s tha. the enha.c.d c. a.d a. c.nc.ntra.ion is due to strong a.thropogenic.influenc.. We c.mpa.ed the multi-proxy rec.rd with other c.ntinenta. a.d ma.ine pa.a.oc.ima.ic.rec.rds to explore globa. a.d/or regiona. trends in c.ima.e va.ia.ility during the la.t 2000 yea.s.

a.M: To esta.lish a. a.soc.a.ion between the serum leptin levels a.d the development of ga.lstone disea.e (GD).METHODs: We c.rried out a.non-ma.c.ed c.se-c.ntrolled study in a.university hospita. in Mexic. c.ty. Two hundred a.d eighty-seven subjec.s were inc.uded: 97 c.ses with ga.lstones a.d 190 c.ntrols. body ma.s index (bMI), fa.ting pla.ma.leptin, insulin, serum lipid, a.d lipoprotein levels were mea.ured. Insulin resista.c. wa. c.lc.la.ed by homeosta.is model a.sessment (HOMa.IR). Unc.nditiona. logistic.regression a.a.ysis (univa.ia.e a.d multiva.ia.e)stra.ified by bMI wa. used to c.lc.la.e the risk of ***: The multiva.ia.e c.nditiona. regression a.a.ysis revea.ed a.model for those pa.ients with bMI ＜30. The selec.ed va.ia.les in the model were HOMa.IR index with OR = 1.31, P= 0.02 a.d leptin higher tha. media. with OR = 2.11, P= 0.05. In the stra.um of bMI ≥30, we did not find a.useful ***: We c.nc.uded tha. insulin resista.c. a.d the development of GD a.pea.s to be a.soc.a.ed with serum leptin levels in subjec.s with overweight, but not in obese subjec.s with simila. meta.olic.profiles.
